I’ve completed the knock out 3 birds with a single attack with almost every bird that has a multiple attack. I’ve even done it with Red, but you have to have use the Dragon Breath set and be a little lucky.

Today I discovered on accident that you can complete this objective with birds that don’t have any capability for a multiple attack if you are using the Vengence emblem! Exploding birds do 20% of their max health in damage so this is something you should factor in toward completing the objective. For example, before if I knew I couldn’t do enough damage to knock 3 birds out I would knock one bird out to make sure I didn’t lose the battle, now if I see that 2 enemy birds are low on health I can look at the health of the third bird and determine if I want to let the computer knock out one or more my birds.

I feel the same. I blew almost all my LC buying shards on the May the 4th promo then used the great majority of shards to upgrade my items. It really pisses me off that I just wasted all my shards because I would have saved them if I knew they were going to increase the level cap. Also yesterday I was #1 in the silver league with a 100% chance of getting promoted to the gold league since there was no way 3 people were going to pass me. This morning when I login my score was reset to zero in the wood league with 5 people having scores above 18K so I have no chance of advancing this week. I’ve earned the diamond trophy all 6 seasons, but I think it is time for me to move on to another game since this game is just too frustrating.

Another thing that really frustrates me is that my posts are always “awaiting moderation” despite me and several other people asking the moderators to please fix this. I know this isn’t Rovio’s fault, but it is one more frustrating thing related to Angry Birds Epic. I might play ABE a little to get the elite classes in case I change my mind later, but for now I’m going to be an occasional lurker here because my interest in this game is at an all time low right now.

They fixed the bug a year or more ago where you could leave your GPM bar full and spin on a friend’s machine for a guaranteed set item every day. Now if either pig has a full bar it doesn’t matter if you spin on your pig or a friend’s because you automatically get a set item and the bar is reset. There is no need to spend 3 LC since any free spin will work. A friend can’t reset your machine. They can only help you build up the rainbow. I don’t know if friend’s spins on your machine are stored when the bar is full.

I get that English is not everyone’s first language here, but math is universal. Rovio obviously made a mistake since the text says the bar fills twice as fast, but the graphic shows +50%. The gain is 100% not 50%. It would be correct to say that it takes half as many spins to fill the bar.

FYI: Each spin fills the bar 2% so it takes a total of 50 spins to fill the bar which would be 8.333 15 LC spins in regular mode or 4.167 15 LC spins during RBC.

The objective might not be bugged. I was pretty tired when I was playing yesterday and think I was knocking out any bird with Red not specifically knocking out Red with Red.

@graugeist The no heal pigs aren’t that big of a problem. Just use potions for healing since those will work except when you fight a pig that steals healing.

I’ve mentioned this tip many times before, but to make maximum use of the dojo set an alarm or timer on your phone to go off after 3 hours. I do this for a lot of games to get free stuff. Most of the games I like to play use a 4 hour timer. I also set a 12 and 24 hour alarm for the free spins you get in Epic. I might be busy and might not be able to claim my free spin or whatever right away, but I won’t forget about it because I often use the snooze feature on my alarm to remind me later.

I hadn’t done the dungeons for about a year. When Rovio temporarily doubled the snoutlings a week ago I revisited them to see what changed. I discovered that you can quickly and easily defeat any dungeon on normal with auto play very fast. The Wizard almost takes out all enemies single handedly so each wave lasts only one round and the pigs never have a chance to attack. This is a really easy way to get an extra 1000 snoutlings each week and you earn them twice as fast as SRC, but you only get to do one battle/day.

Since people keep asking about emblems here is a list I made a little over a year ago. Nothing has changed since then except the league wheel spin replaced one of the 2 emblem slots with shards.

Dispel (Wood) – All your birds have a 60% chance to resist a dispel
Magnetic (Wood) – 25% of an attack against a bird is redirected to the banner
Protection from Red (Wood) – If Red is available, there is an 50% chance that he will intercept an attack against the banner
Protection from Chuck (Wood) – If Chuck is available, there is an 50% chance that he will intercept an attack against the banner
Protection from Matilda (Wood) – If Matilda is available, there is an 50% chance that she will intercept an attack against the banner
Protection from Bomb (Wood) – If Bomb is available, there is an 50% chance that he will intercept an attack against the banner
Protection from Blues (Wood) – If the Blues is available, there is an 50% chance that they will intercept an attack against the banner
Purify (Wood) – Banner has a 35% chance to cleanse a curse when using a support skill on it
Shroud (Wood) – Banner has a 15% chance that an enemy misses an attack against it
Taunt (Wood) – Support skill for the banner that provides a 100% chance that the banner forces an enemy to attack it for 1 turn
Thorns (Wood) – Banner reflects 35% of damage received to the attacker
Underdog (Wood) – Entering a battle with only 2 birds, all your birds receive 40% additional health and attack power
Enfeeble – The attacker’s attack power is reduced by 15% for 2 turns
Soothing – Attacks against the banner reduce your opponent’s rage by 10%
Rage Shield (Stone) – Opponent’s rage attacks deal 50% less damage
Vampiric (Stone) – Banner is healed by 10% of the damage dealt by the birds
Rage Block (Silver) – Birds attacking the banner cannot use their rage ability for 2 turns
Vengeful (Silver) – Whenever one of your birds is knocked out, it explodes and deals damage to all opponent birds. Damage done is equal to 20% of the exploding bird’s health.
Knock Out (Gold) – Banner has 10% chance to stun attacker
Weakness (Gold) – All opponents healing is reduced by 75%
Resurrection (Platinum) – Knocked out birds have a 30% chance to instantly revive with 50% health
Retaliate (Platinum) – Reflects 15% of damage done to all enemy birds
Resilience (Diamond) – Banner receives 10% less damage for every bird still standing
Time Jump (Diamond) – Each bird using attack or support skill has a 10% chance to gain an additional turn

The easiest way to beat Lawrence would be to use knight/cannoneer/princess. The knight provides 55% damage reduction. The cannoneer reduces Lawrence’s attack by 20%. The princess removes Lawrence’s harmful effect and heals. You also can equip the knight with a damage reducing shield.

Without using a friend’s bird the easiest way to 3 star it would be to use knight (grand slam set), princess (sweet set) and prince porky. It takes a long time, but the strategy is really simple. All you do is use protect right before Lawrence charges and then heal with the princess. Other than an occasional heroic strike from Red you just attack every time. Sets like grand slam and sweet will help a lot just make sure your 3 birds are at full health when you win. A score of 31,500 is good enough to 3 star it and you get 30,000 from 3 birds at full health.

You can actually beat Lawernce using only the knight and princess, but it will take a long time.

@graugeist I don’t think anyone uses the Underdog emblem anymore since Rovio nerfed it. I don’t know when they nerfed or fixed it depending on your point of view. I used to really like the Underdog emblem for the knockout 3 birds in one attack objective because the 40% bonus would activate once one or more of your group of 3 birds got knocked out and the 40% bonus would stay active on the remaining bird(s) until they got knocked out. Using the 30% bonus from Skulkers, 60% bonus from Captain and Bomb’s explode made this objective extremely easy. If you wanted to get really ridiculous, you could also use Skulker’s ability on Thunderbird to get another 25% damage bonus. Now I believe you have to start with only 2 birds to get the 40% bonus.

@datguygamer @pointless I’m the one who had an absurd amount of items in my inventory. I experienced a bug which duplicated or triplicated my items many times. It was nice at first because I racked up a lot of essence, materials and snoutlings. However I spent 80+ hours trying to recycle items before my inventory got so big that I couldn’t open it without the game crashing. Eventually my game file got so big the game wouldn’t open. Also I’d lose a lot number of battles due to excessive crashing.

It took Rovio a few months to figure out how to fix this problem. The solution was to delete almost all my items except the ones I was equipped with. They deleted more than 20,000 lines from my game file. It was a little painful at first because I used to have 2 or more versions of nearly every set item and went to having only one set for each bird and no sets for my banner since I accidentally equipped with a non-set item once during a free spin, but after they fixed my save file crashes became very rare and the game sped up a lot.

That set you are describing for Bomb and another set for Blues were both posted somewhere in here a while back. The one for Blues had a poker chip and I can’t remember the other item. It supposedly altered the coin flip so that when you lost the toss you still won it. I don’t know what would happen if both players had the set since only computer players were spotted with it.

@binh I don’t use the priestess much, but she is good in certain situations. You should try using the blessed set, samurai, priestess with sweet set and marksmen. This is a team that will receive a lot of healing because of angelic touch and dish out a lot of damage to the banner due to the marksmen’s volley. It is very useful for some objectives like don’t heal your banner or don’t knock out any birds.

Before everyone keeps going on more Rovio rants there might be a simple explanation for the dojo. Rovio might have simply forgotten to add the Treasure Hunter class in the dojo.

Has anyone gotten a snoutling offer for the Treasure Hunter in the dojo?

I got the Treasure Hunter yesterday and all my other classes were already rank 12. I’ve been through at least 5 cycles at the dojo and I have yet to see a single snoutling class offer for the Treasure Hunter.

I encountered syncing problems before when switching between devices where the game doesn’t always save my last action. The way I got around this problem was to start a battle that way I didn’t care if it failed to record the last battle. The syncing problem was more frustrating when the game gave you a daily reward of 1-7 LC and I’d lose it when switching between devices.

The Sugar Rush set still heals 100% of damage done. The description when you click on it shows 50%.

@suzyq The reason you don’t see the ability to borrow birds is because the message, “Event battles need stamina! Use a stamina drink to restore one stamina point.” covers the part where you’d be able to click on borrow a bird. Do not make the mistake of clicking the start battle button at the bottom right since it will automatically use the required stamina potions and start the battle without giving you a chance to select a bird. Instead keep clicking the stamina drink icon until you have enough stamina and the message will disappear so you will be able to borrow a bird, then you can start the battle with 3 birds or use Piggy McCool as the third.

One health related set that can be quite powerful is the Anger Management banner set. When Bomb explodes he can easily do over 4K damage. Add any damage enhancement bonus like the Pirate’s Whip Up! and Bomb will do an obscene amount of damage that will probably KO everything except the enemy banner. However the Valiant set is so over powered it trumps this set because it is hard to make sure Bomb’s health gets reduced below 25%.

I’m one of the few people that prefers using the Sugar Rush set for Bomb, but after the level increase from 45 to 50 I haven’t been able to get a max level set yet. I think Rovio weakened the Sugar Rush set a second time. Originally it healed all birds 100% of dealt damage. I believe they lowered it to 75% of dealt damage and now it only heals 50% of dealt damage. Does anyone know when it got lowered to 50%?

@timber Best Buy reduced the price of iPad Mini 3s by $300 so the $600 iPad mini 3 with 128 gigs is now $300 and the cellular version is $430, but by the time this post is taken off awaiting moderation they may not have any left. They reduced the price to make way for the new iPads that will be introduced on March 13. I don’t understand why anyone would buy the cellular version which costs an extra $10-25/month when you can use your cell phone and turn on a personal hot spot.

@gh0sti Do some simple math. Let’s say the odds on getting a set item in about 1 in 8 or 12.5% during the 5x Rainbow Riot. It seems to be somewhere between 10-15%, but is probably closer to 10%. There are currently 44 different set items.

8 * 44 = 352 so you have a 1 in 352 or 0.28% chance to get the item.

You need to do 244 spins before you have a 50% chance to get the item. If you double the spins to 488, you still only have a 75% chance to get the item. I doubt you’ve done a 1000 spins during Rainbow Riot, but even if you have there is still a 5.8% to not get the item.

It is now about 8 hours since the event started and my game still shows only 2 of each item needed to get the Treasure Hunter. I collected 3 items so far.

Neither GrauGeist nor I have ever called people stupid and YELLED at them when we disagree with someone’s post like the person who is the reason we were put on awaiting moderation. It is about 12.5 hours after the event started. I noticed all the portals for the event disappearing about an hour ago and haven’t returned, but I see in my leaderboard that no one else has been able to play.

@poptimus MVNLA2 and several others have posted that the 3 stamina events are the best ones to play. This has been true for the past 4+ months. However 5 months ago when we could get the Illusionist I really liked playing the 7 stamina Sonic Wave 20 where you got to battle Dr Eggman. In that wave they increased the top wheel prize from 450 to 1000 and you’d get 100 snoutlings every time you defeated Dr Eggman. It was also fun to play with both Sonic the Hedgehog and Illusionist at the same time, but the game tended to crash a lot since it was like using 2 illusionists at the same time.
