    I only care about pig distribution but 1 in 4 seems about right. I had 3-in-a-row pig on 2nd floor last week. That’s a 1.6% chance. Unlucky, but not unreasonable. And yesterday i made it to round 66 with the strategy i posted earlier with a profit of 1k gems, 15k feathers and a bunch of other stuff. Lucky, but not unreasonable.

    If we all think like that, casino will be closed down in no time.

    Yes, but 99% of the player base wont go to a forum to read up on strategy. :)

    There is no real pattern to it. If you think the pig cannot be in the same spot more than 2 times,

    I don’t think Rovio is doing anything with pig placement outside the obvious random(4). Randomise alone is enough to play a lot of tricks with the human mind. Our brains are hardwired to look for patterns, even when there are none, like in a random number sequence.

    What I do is picking the same card in every round in every game. Its not gonna be better (or worse) than any other card picking strategy, but its saving me some time.

    Cleared all the levels, 0 money spent.

    If there were some decent ways to spend money in AB2, like a one-time fee to get rid of ads and life restrictions, I would probably have went with that but the way they do it now there’s no way I’m gonna buy anything.

    I have come to the same conclusion. I also use this to game the system a bit by focusing on leveling the black bird (he’s currently about five levels about my other birds). I then use him on rooms where he can blow up the entire room for massive score boosts.

    “On the boss level of today’s DC, let’s say you have Red, blue and Terence. First, red will topple the building above onto Chef Pig’s head. Second, blue will clear the structures to the right of the pig. With Terence, you need to aim correctly in a way that he will send Chef Pig flying. Good luck.”

    I didn’t have much luck with topple the building, I got a lot of debris in the water which messed up my other shots. Finally did it with blue + white. Sent blue through the water to knock down the boss + clear stuff on the right, then using the previous path as an aiming guide for white.

    “I’ll have to study up on the water level coming up tomorrow.”

    How do you know which level will come up tomorrow?

    Also do you have any advice on today’s water level, I’m having a hard time with that one. Only thing I figured out so far is to make sure not getting any debris in the water, since you have to send a bird through the water to kick the boss out of the level.

    My success with these pigs is luck-based rather than skill-based. For example the teleporter pig is sometimes positioned so you can’t get to him with the first bird. So you have to fling your second bird to force out his first teleport, your third bird to force his second teleport and then your fourth bird to kill him. Other times I’ll just do a flyby with my first bird (not trying to hit him just to force the first teleport) and he teleports to suicide while my bird hits the intended target. For the polymorph pig, sometimes you can just collapse something over him with him getting no chance of hitting you and other times there’s only one available path towards him making it impossible to hit him without him hitting you first.

    “Where can I do that, folks?”

    Just enter your credit card number into the Play Store and click Purchase every time there’s an option to buy something. You’ll be max level in no time (until the max level is raised anyway).

    Its called ‘pay to win’ – you win the game and Rovio wins a chunk of your money, so everyone wins.

    Specific question:
    Is Rovio´s intent to maintain arena gameplay in this unfair manner?

    Of course it is. The purpose of the game is to make you spend money, remember?
    Currently the arena is tuned so you can get a 2-win streak fairly easy to get a taste of what’s to come, but you no matter how good you are you will lose most fights after that unless you spend gems and/or spell cards.

    @bigbadaboom

    Cheaters or just something Rovio made up? As I posted before, not everyone you encounter in arena is a real person playing and arena is designed to give you harder fights the longer your win streak is.

    Blocking bird with > 9 levels would be super easy, so imho its more likely they are doing it on purpose.

    “I’d love to call myself RedYoshi45 in AB2 too…”

    Just change you Facebook character’s name to RedYoshi45 and it will show up in AB2.

    “I can never seem to do the second level”

    In that case just forget about daily challenge until you level up your birds. The third level is much harder than the second level.

    This might be different depending on what platform you’re on, but on my Android phone I don’t need to exit the application to do this. I just quit before I fire off the first bird, press arena again and there’ll be a new opponent. I use this all the time because there’s little point for me of battling an opponent with a full lineup of lvl 8 birds and 13 cards.

    Also you might have noticed that Rovio added computer generated opponents a couple weeks ago (as opposed to the recorded player opponents). They play really bad and are easy to identify so if you combine the two methods above you get a 8-10 star win every time (unless you make some big mistakes).

    I can’t even play DC during weekdays. I open up AB2 to do a round of arena in the morning and though I don’t touch the DC icon the timer starts ticking and when I get home from work DC has expired.

    bigbadaboom
    @bigbadaboom

    Teleporter is the hardest by far. Yes sometimes you get lucky and he teleports himself into death, but other times you cant event get to him with the first bird, then he teleports on bird #2, teleports again on bird #3 and finally you kill him with bird #4.

    The timer is messed up. I dis an arena in the morning but didnt have time for that so I didnt start that. Got home from work and challenge timer expired so no chance to do challenge. Since I dont have time to work on the challenge at work, this means I cant do arena in the morning if I want to do the challenge in the evening. What’s the point of that?

    Rovio you need to change the timer so it starts ticking when you start the challenge, not when you launch the game.

    513 is too hard. I gave it about 40 tries before admitting I couldn’t finish it without extra birds and spent 60 gems on three extras (first time I had to do that). Still no reason to spend money though, I’ve received thousands of gems from quests and have plenty to spare for other insanely hard levels that will no doubt be thrown at us later.

    Took a quick look at 469 and that one didn’t seem like one of the harder levels to me. But maybe that’s just me and I got lucky with it. Some of the harder levels I were only able to beat after getting lucky with sardines, golden pigs and having the right cards available at the right time.

    Not sure how much difference bird levels do. I have level 6 birds and for 6-room levels if i Birdie every room I just have enough to finish the level.

    For some reason Rovio does not support the Google sync mechanism. Hopefully thay will add that in a future release.

    bigbadaboom
    @bigbadaboom

    You’re spot on, the gravity level in arena behaves the same way the water levels do.

    bigbadaboom
    @bigbadaboom

    So I looked at the water level more carefully and what happens is that the opponent’s destruction bar moves super slowly. If my opponent starts with 7 cards that’s what he’s got, no extras. This also means that opponents on water levels aren’t actual player replays (though they are possibly modified ones).

    No gifts on new levels for me. They’re bloody hard, stuck on 509 atm. Will probably need to get lucky with card draws to finish it.

    bigbadaboom
    @bigbadaboom

    @sutekh137 My experience is exactly the same. Not sure whether its a bug or if Rovio intentionally cut us some slack after all the extra-cards-on-the-end fights.

    bigbadaboom
    @bigbadaboom

    Levels are better in AB2 and I like the card system. But AB2 sucks by going pay2win so overall I’d say the original games were much more enjoyable. AB2 is too much frustration with all the ad spamming and slow load times. I’ll probably stick around until maxing out my birds though.

    “You need to reinstall the game (backing up your progress in the process). Recently they have bumped the percentage of presents again.”

    This makes no sense. Reducing gifts certainly didn’t require anyone to reinstall why would an increase of gifts require it?
