My last 4-4-5, not too bad but it ended up being somewhat annoying. Round 3 was fine up until the last 2 rooms; room 3 could take 2 birds with luck though in most cases it took 3. The 4th room is a mess:

This one took 3 birds minimum and sometimes 4 due to the pigs being spread out in awkward spots. The two single pigs – the one in the bucket and the one underneath, are just here to make things difficult, and it doesn’t help that there’s rocks right next to them that you have to take out or they’ll block your next shots.

Eventually got a good run after about 7 or so attempts I got to this stupid boss room:

This room has little strategy and depends mostly on luck. For me the best method was throwing a disposable bird over the top building to destroy the balloon holding up the rocks. They then fall down and get bounced into the boss…at least that’s what you have to hope happens. If that works out right then the boss should take a good amount of damage from the rocks bouncing around and hitting him, leaving you to finish him off with your remaining birds. Took me a ton of attempts for that to work out but it did eventually.

KPP was easy. I ended up wasting gems on the 3rd boss and losing an extra chest. This was the room:

It’s usually easy, you knock the boss down into the right-side water and then boot him out the room to the right. Well I tried doing that, I used Blues to push him down, then threw Terrance under the water into the flower, which launches him under the boss and hits him. The boss of course flies up and hits the purple that’s conveniently placed in the air, which drops him back down into the water.

So I tried the same thing with Silver, and he of course hits the red balloon and goes back down down into the water. I bought extra birds as I had an extra chest and know that the boss was ready to be beaten. I got Leonard, Matilda and Blues. I figured Leonard would be enough to send the boss out the map, so I send him into the flower.

Since this game hates me, Leonard hit the boss and instead of sending him out the right side to his death, he instead sent him flying straight up into the sky. Of course, the boss didn’t die as you’d expect when he gets launched into orbit, and instead he ended up coming back down and landed in the left-side water under the slingshot, like this:

You’d figure I’d be able to finish him off with Blues and Matilda, right? Nope. Blues was worthless and did no damage, and Matilda dropped his health to basically zero where the boss was still alive but his health bar was completely empty with no red it it. So there goes 60 gems and an extra chest on a stupid scenario that shouldn’t happen. I beat it on the next attempt at least.

My 3rd 4-4-5 with this easy boss room:

I only had to restart once after messing up a few of the rooms in round 3. This boss room has no exit and is just a pummel-to-death deal. The boss doesn’t have a lot of health so you should be able to kill him with a few direct hits. Terrance wiped out most of his health and then I was able to finish him off with Silver from the meter filling and then Matilda bombing his head to end him.

KPP has an easy 1st boss:

2nd boss is a lot easier if you have Terrance (screenshot from my 1st attempt, later attempts I could beat it each time when I had Terrance):

3rd boss is the blocked exit version of this room:

The 1st time I got in was with no birds so I quickly grabbed a screenshot before restarting. As some will know there’s normally an exit between the 2 rooftops down at the bottom, but this version has that blocked off so the boss will usually end up down on or near where the exit should be:

I had 5 birds when I got in the 2nd time, and once you eventually manage to get the boss down from his starting perch (which is a chore in itself) then it will always end with the boss getting stuck down below and impossible to hit because of the 2 fans right under the slingshot.

I tried a few more times and it’s safe to say that this one is virtually impossible without immense luck, or if you know a secret strategy and can pull off an obscure trick shot and send the boss out the room. Regardless, I’m not going to waste any more time with this one.

here are a few updates, including some porting of the camera and slingshot limit code

    @poco-dyess
Your ideas seems really interesting. The 3rd one I was even planning on adding many years ago in a fangame idea that never got off the ground. I’ll probably add them into the game soon.
what was the 6th suggestion though?

Had the same DC, and never beat it. Every attempt ended up with the boss landing in bad locations, once even right below the slingshot and not moving an inch. Matilda didn’t even budge him.

That one is fine as long as you can get in with at least 3 birds. My 2nd 4-4-5 with this boss (forgot to take a screenshot so I here’s one I borrowed off of FB):

I failed on my 1st attempt which lost me my streak progress, though I don’t really care that much…the concept of beating each and every DC on your first attempt is outrageous, and with the 4-5-6 setup that you will eventually be on, that will not happen consistently without massive luck or gems being used.

I eventually beat it on my 2nd attempt after the boss somehow got pushed behind the slingshot by one of my birds going out one of the portals at the perfect time.

KPP has an very easy 1st boss:

And then for the 2nd boss you get hit with this blocked-exit room:

Even with perfect clearing of the rooms before and getting in with 8 birds, it’s virtually impossible. If the boss ends up on the bottom slide and goes into the corner (where the exit should be) it’s game over, as he can’t be reached due to the slide being very slow. Your only options is everyone’s favourite method: pummel him to death with birds, and do so without letting him get close to the bottom slide.

Even with 8 birds I can only ever get him down to around 25% health. I beat it once out of sheer luck after smashing the boss directly from his starting position with Silver, and she stuck to him while he went down the right slide and took away most of his health. I had another 5 or so birds to manage to finish him off.

Round 3 from the one time I got to it, is just recycled rooms from one of the DCs; it starts with this one (reusing my own screenshots):

We’ve seen this one before, and it would lead to this boss:

I may try a few more times later once I get some lives back but I really don’t see the point of trying to win against a blocked exit boss room. It just comes down to pure chance whether you can kill him with the birds you have and then restarting when you don’t, or if he ends up in the impossible corner.

You will definitely need all of the birds to complete this adventure.  Early rounds can be done with a few birds missing, but after that, it will be incredibility difficult.

Round 3 is 5 rooms, but not hard.  You can probably afford one, maybe two errors, but that’s it.

Round 4 is 6 rooms, and you need to play very smart, but it is doable with birds left over.

Round 5 is also 6 rooms, and room 5 is a massive bird sucker.  I had a Mighty Eagle spell I got by striking room 1 which got me past it.  I’m sure it can be done, would require the right birds.  Make sure on room 6 you have Terrance and either Matilda, Silver, or Bomb if possible.  Terrance can take out the structure below the slingshot, and if aimed right, bounce into the far right structure.  One of the others can kill the pigs on the center structure.

Round 6 is still 6 rooms and very frustrating.  Took me half a dozen attempts to get past it, with lucky being on my side because a lucky debris strike cleared a room which otherwise would have required me to use Bomb and that would have ended any chance to finish it.

It’s been so long since Rovio made a new slingshot-styled Angry Birds game, so I’m pretty excited for this. Keep the updates coming! I’m looking forward to whatever new mechanics you’ll bring to the table.

Yeah, I don’t expect to get shorter DCs for very long.

I’d be nice if I could do a full DC streak and get the chest, but I doubt I will get that lucky. I finally did beat the DC after 6 or so attempts. It only needed Bomb and Matilda. The KPP took a few tries because the final boss kept getting tossed behind the slingshot, but not rolling off. Finally managed to get him off the screen. It wasn’t the same one you had. I had used Bubbles assuming it would be, but it wasn’t and Bubbles wasn’t useful. Switched back to Stella and made it to the boss on another attempt and finally got rid of him.

that boss above can get knock to the left with bubble , but you need good timing and aiming for it.

if not , he will stuck at the left small island where our slingshot can’t reach it.

today dc , hard rooms with easy boss as long as you have 2 birds+.

    no hard boss in KPP.

hope this  easy  boss will keep continue later on.

    use other screenshot as usual

KPP 3rd boss , tried couple time to beat it with bubble but not so lucky to knock him out to the left

usually he either drop into to the left water or left side of our slingshot ( either way will force you to try again )

    can’t beat him

    today DC boss

    using other screenshot as usual

this boss can get knock out directly surpass our slingshot in the left as long he been hit strong enough to that white hole in the lower right

instant win , no need to reduce his health that really depend on luck

KPP  is normal too without any annoying boss

for 3rd boss , make sure you have enough birds to clean the way and to push him to the exit

at least 3+ birds  ( I use lemon screenshot here )

I quit buying hats in the shop. Even if you get them all at the low-low-low! introductory price of 1500 coins, that’s 10,500 coins and about a year’s worth of playing. And what do you get for that? One slingshot upgrade. Assuming you already have a x10 or x11 set, there’s no other benefit. And if you miss one or two at the 1500 level, fuhgeddaboutit.

I can’t remember who gave me the idea on this forum, but I now sit on the coins until there’s a double-feather frenzy while the shop’s open, then clean up on feathers.

To be fair, Windows 10 version of AB Friends was released with those graphics from start.

I’ve found AB in its “powerups era”, in late 2012. My first version of AB was AB Chrome. Then, I’ve decided to install thrm on my iPad 2. I still remember how Angry Birds was a paid app in App Store.

I played them in 2012-2016, then I’ve stopped, because I lost my interest in them, mostly because Angry Birds was now a free app in App Store with ads. Come on, Rovio, I’ve bought them. Why should I play with ads now?

Then in 2018, I continued playing on PC, I had to pirate all of versions, besides Rio and Star Wars.

In December of 2018, I’ve found this page on TCRF. 3 weeks later, with no instructions, I’ve managed to edit my first .lua file.

Some time later, I’ve found modding thread on AB Nest.

I still think that old times of slingshot games were better. I have got nothing againt Toons style in games, btw. The same couldn’t be said for Movie style.

Today’s DC is a waste of time, it’s the same one I had sometime last week. I saw the first room of round 3, with the right-pointing fan above the slingshot and quit. Not dealing with that one again.

Today got stage that posted @nik-handson few message above. After few attempts I beat it with Hal whom knocked the boss to the left behind slingshot. Before I used Hal I popped the little pig near Boss Pig to clear a way. I made it just once.

    King Pig Panic 11-28-19

Look closely and you will see no boss pig. This is the first level. I used the orange bird (“Bubbles”) to blast the boss straight up. He obviously landed somewhere off screen.

I’ve had this happen multiple times now. Does Rovio not check each level to make sure there aren’t unreachable traps?

What makes this so joyful is that I was nearing the time limit on the KPP, and by the time I gave up on this, time was up. Yay.

By the way, you know you can pull back a bird on the slingshot and a little thumbnail appears in the upper left that will show what you’re aimed at? I tried that and all that it showed was a leaf blowing. I’m guessing the boss had fallen behind that leaf somewhere.

    4-4-5 DC with this boss:

I entered with 5 birds after a good run and beat the boss unexpectedly:

I threw Blues into the underside tractor beam path as there was a small ice structure in the way. Split them up just before impact and they smashed through it, one of them got caught by a tractor beam pig who was sat on the lower middle platform (the one with the 2 barrels) and took him out; it’s best to just get rid of him as he’ll just mess up your shots trying to reach the boss.

The other 2 Blues followed the path round but went through the furthest orange portal instead as I had launched them sightly off. They came out the other orange portal at random angles, and one of them conveniently shoved the boss straight through the bottom right portal.

He landed nicely in the half-pipe so I slammed him with Silver (pictured) and he took massive damage, then I just finished him off with a direct hit from Chuck.

I didn’t expect Blues to do so well; alternatively I would’ve sent Terrence through after I cleared the ice blockage away, and he would’ve smashed straight through everything on the right wall and pushed the boss through in one clean shot, then you just pummel the boss once he’s in the half-pipe area.

There is a load of junk blocking the entrance to the half-pipe so ideally you’re meant to un-block that area, and the boss will roll out the opening once you push him through the bottom right portal. I didn’t want to risk him not rolling out correctly or maybe even getting landing and getting stuck behind the slingshot, so I left it closed up so that the boss would stay in the half-pipe.

KPP was super easy and I got a free rare chest.

So passed DC and KPP both today, the last level of KPP was sort of “blocked exit” type, but rooms before pretty ok. Sorry can’t give a screenshot so using someone’s posted on FB, but will try just to review of what I did. So in the last room of KPP level 3 I could enter with 4-5 birds, of course not enough to beat till death that pig, but then I was curious about some goofy moves of Dan Chan on YouTube, and decided to experiment.

So (1) First I pushed boss to the flower so that it got returned closer to the slingshot, then (2) I hit him lightly with Stella to get him up, and then (3) I had Silver to punch his butt outside of the screen.

So generally, I come to conclusion that boss levels need experimenting, not only pass boss to exist or tunnel, but also some creativity needs to be sometime applied. Not that much happy with perks of DC/KPP rather than how exactly I kicked a butt of Boss

I’ve been on a TOF losing streak and have only one hat. Honestly, the rewards are pretty meagre unless you make it all the way to the legendary chest.

The main opportunity for me with these events has been to collect at least most of a set which I can fill out with pearls eventually and get the slingshot upgrade. But now these are so frequent that I’ve got 4 or 5 mostly-complete sets and not so many ways to earn pearls — it takes 10 legendary arena tournament wins to get ONE 10K hat!

All hat sets raise your slingshot level by one. It’s better to get the cheapest ones first, especially the exotics since they don’t show up anywhere else once their event is over.

By the way there is another well-known long-time player who goes by Angry Turd. Call yourself what you like, of course. Just saying it might cause confusion.

Maybe I’m not looking in the right place but I am trying to find out how the different hat sets affect your slingshot level.  Specifically, how much of a difference does it make if I finish a legendary hat set as opposed to an exotic one?  Would it be better for me, points wise, to just go ahead and finish off my exotic hat sets before filling out my legendary?

First thing this morning got to the last screen with 5 birds left, bashed the FP to the bottom, dropped Matildas bomb and to my utter surprise FP bounced out over the slingshot to the left, just as happened to @zoomrhonda.
