    Race 1 tips:
    1. From slingshot..aim left to trash opponent
    2. Drift left/right/left right the whole way
    3. Tailgate opponent as long as possible (preferably the leader)
    4. A half way…the big jump…attempt to trash the leader
    5. Use special powers to keep up or pass at end.

    Race 2 tips:
    1. Trash opponent off sling or before first set of fruit
    2. Fly as much as possible
    3. Got to get almost all fruit so keep opponent behind you
    4. Use special power after fruit splat bar gone
    5. Try to get over 60,000 pts on track. Finish first gets 80,000 more

    Race 3 tips:
    1. Aggressive off the start. Insane damage points available
    2. Drift when you can but keep up with leader or he’ll leave you in dust
    3. I got tons of points when one of the super large karts landed on mine without destroying me. I had him on top of my kart till I had over 80,000 pts. I finished 2nd in race with score of over 158 thousand. Waze has 159 thousand.
    Did this happen to you too? Not able to recreate it yet

    Race 4 tips
    1. Drift around all obstacles
    2. Keep to ground….dont take too many jumps…till the big jump at the end
    3. Use corporal pig special powers for speed. Dont use all 3 at once. Use one at a time about half way into your race.
    4. Go after 45000 pts on track and get 80,000 to finish before times up.

    Race 5
    vs Matilda….I gave my tips earlier on this one. Please read back on the forum.

    Happy driving. 705 thousand is my total score. I’m happy to get over the 700 thousand points and wont likely attempt further as I’m set to head to a galaxy far far away….anxiously waiting for AB star wars 2 update for android :)

    I had not played P4-6 yet so I can confirm 5 coins. Three under the structure, one under the slingshot and one behind it.

    @joeyba @mvnla2 I analyzed this video and we can see the 5 coins.
    Without start the video, we can see 2 coins under the TNT at right (under the platform).
    A other one at left of the TNT.
    A other one just under the slingshot in water.
    And the fifth (for me), at the extremity left in water (shot back in water to have it).

    @theuytte @mvnla2 I’m pretty sure I counted this coin in my level (4 coins)
    Can anyone confirm the number of coins under water (is it 3 or 4)?? I’m pretty sure they were 3 and 1 under slingshot equaling 4..

    Going fast… As fast as I can…
    Track 3 – 162837

    Now: [22-aft-iOS-700441]

    How did I manage that score:
    Wait to slingshot over an opponent, then unleashed 2 specials from Blues and followed the leader the most close as I could. At the end, unleashed the last special. Bingo!

    ** UPDATE: no power-ups

    @theuytte @joeyba @sparty83 — Pork Side — Talk about so dark and murky, you can’t see the coins!
    Summary of where our coin counts differ:
    P4-10: I think there are 6 coins — 2 on top row, 4 on bottom
    P4-12: I can only see 2 coins– One each between the legs of the first platform. Where are the others?
    P4-14: I can’t see any coins! Where are they
    P4-16: There are at least 2 in rock to lower left of slingshot

    Joey
    Participant

    @theuytte
    P4-10 got 6 coins not 4 (under slingshot)
    P4-15 got 5 not 4 (under big rock in the cave)
    P4-16 got 3 not 0 (back under sling shot)

    @mvnla2
    its 2 coins one under the other btw the legs in P-12. its dark under so look closer.

    Made a typo on my original post but have corrected my track #4 score to 110,428 NOT 130,428! I wish! That one is a @#^@$@##$!

    @angryde
    @abgoria

    race #4 is brutal … my best above at 110,428 … marginally moved it up from 109 something this morning. My technqiue….launch straight and aim for right launch arrow plank….as flying move wings left/right quickly to get more points than if you were to fly straight (game likes to reward a “flying drift”?). Once to other side, i navigate around the obstacles trying to drift. Find it okay to hit the glass obstacles but if I hit the wall or the other obstacles, kart slows down way too much and kills you in the end. Once I make it to the next launch, I aim for the left edge of the first hanging plank so I can attempt to bounce of it and land on the third hanging plank (missing the 2nd one) and then launching for the next yellow road area. I attempt to fly over the 3 wooden? boxes and then land drifting around all obstacles. I recall trying to keep right before making sharp left to go inside the obstacles before the hill, then trying to keep the kart straight to the end crossing the finish line with a drift (if time allows). I can’t find a practical use for Hal’s Hurricane on this event so I don’t bother to trigger it.

    race #5 is all about being aggressive with Terrance right off the word Go! He might be the big bird, but you’re the boss Bomb bird! lol (everyone knows I’m a Red guy but Bomb is growing on me as a fav too!) … yes…you gotta land on him of the slingshot, ram him a few times and attempt to spin him out all while trying to drift your kart as much as possible while avoiding the boulders. You also want to blast him with your bomb power when he gets mad and shoots his lightning anger at you. I try to time this so I also permanently get the lead and drift my kart the rest of the way home

    Hi @nacho18, to completely trash an opponent the easiest way is to jump over its head immediately at the start of the race from the slingshot.
    To collect few coins use Matilda’s tubcopter with max handling. I noted it’s the best kart to use for this kind of challenges as well as for those where you have to go close to obstacles.
    For the 400m ch. yes @platium is right, the King Pig is the one to use to accomplish this task.
    Enjoy!!!

    Not sure if this has been posted before, but I thought it might be helpful.

    To me, some of the most difficult challenges are the ones where they ask you to “collect less than five coins” or “splat less than seven fruit”. Well, with regard to the fruit splat ones, I have found that if you pull back on the slingshot and wait for several seconds before launching, the opponent(s) will get a head start and actually splat a lot of the fruit themselves, giving you more of a clear path to maneuver through, giving you a better chance at not splitting much fruit. I hope that this may be a useful tip to any of you who are having difficulty with these challenges.

    Does anyone have any tips on how to collect less coins? I think I need a brake pedal or a downshift button or something… :)

    @mvnla2 – in PR-21, all 4 credit coins are above the slingshot hidden amongst the log. I have gotten them all but it’s a tough shot if playing on a small screen, i.e. a phone. iPad is much easier. If unable to use the given tusken, I suggest a swap that uses lasers, or a lightsaber-throwing one.

    I just got the last coin in PR-5 without a swap (on iOS). Took about two hours. It’s definitely doable.

    (I also got all the coins from all levels. Some of them you can only get with falling debris…)

    Make Count Dooku hug the rocks just below the slingshot, aiming almost vertically downwards. He can actually touch the rocks before you fire the boomerang. Aim directly for the coin, and fire just after he reaches the opening. I almost hit it twice before it finally went all the way down.

    We are crazy.

    Continued:

    B1-13 was possibly the hardest for me to figure out. The key is to use Yoda to bounce off Yoda. Lob Yoda #1 behind the slingshot and either as he is falling or (quickly) after he hits the ground (ideally in the extreme left corner of the field), fling Yoda #2 to hit #1. If the force is with you, Yoda #2 will bounce back to get the coins. This will take a few patient attempts.

    B1-S3 – D’Oh! Forgot where the coins were already. Would someone remind me?

    B1-S4 – also hard. I aimed C3PO #1 about halfway up the 1st of the 2 stacks of wood on the first mound. Activating early, I found, helped to minimize C3PO debris. #2 tended to clear the most when I activated him late. I eventually got it cleared away enough to break through with #3. (Apologies for my crap explanation here; let me know what I might clarify.)

    BTW — On an earlier level (forgot which one) the coins were hidden. Hope I haven’t missed any here.

    B1-10: Two coins on the far right. I can’t access them with the pigs held by the slingshot.
    B1-13: Three coins directly to the left of the slingshot. Seems to be impossible w/o character swaps?
    B1-14: Two coins on the left half of the big circle.
    B1-19: Three coins on the top right.

    It seems all of the tough ones are in Naboo Invasion. Escape to Tatooine is completely passable, as is Rewards Chapter.

    @alcusto:

    -Stunt, track 2, fruit splat #24 (Splat 35% of fruit in a race) – trying, I didn’t got it yet.

    -Stunt, track 1, time bomb #19: avoid 20 wooden obstacles (there are only 15 in total!) – probably a bug in the game. Do not spend gems, Rovio will fix it in next updates, I hope.

    – Stunt, track 2, race #20: remain 1st throughout the whole race – I got it before the last updates using Boost Power Up and KingSling, spending birdcoins (not gems)

    -Subzero, ice splat #2: use 10 accelerators (the only 1 on the track does not work) – Another bug. Hopefully Rovio will fix it in next update.

    @grimmjow
    :

    Speedway, Track 2, challenge 24 of race : completely trash 3 opponents – try to land on another kart at the beginning jump with the slingshot (easier) or during the race (more difficult). I got it in the first slingshot jump.

    After the latest update which brought the Sub Zero preview track, I was somehow logged out of my Rovio account, so I started playing a fresh game of AB Go, signed in as “Guest”.

    Right off the slingshot, I noticed that Red has unlimited energy as long as you don’t unlock Stella!! Needless to say, I used that ‘no wait time’ to stock up on coins as well as gems from either completing challenges or finding them randomly on the track.

    I was particularly pleased to find out that random gems can be found in time boom! Back when those weren’t found amongst the time boom tracks, it was just another reason I would rather do the challenges for race and fruit splat modes, since even if I didn’t complete all 3 challenge objectives, there was still a chance of finding a random gem … or 2 … or 3!! But now, I find myself trying to win challenges on any of the 3.

    So, I created a new Rovio account to save my fresh game, and spent the next day or two stocking up on coins and gems. I decided not to spend gems on extra special-powers, power-ups, or skipping challenge objectives.

    When I finally got Chuck, I had around 600 gems (coins are no longer useful once you’ve got Chuck).

    I bought the 180 gem kart for Rocky Road (those tracks are the most fun, in my opinion), and bought the power-ups needed to complete challenges like “Use 3 power ups in 1 race” or “Use the king sling 3 times in a row”.

    I just skipped my first challenge objection, which was “Use all power ups 3 times in a row”. After I did the math, that objective alone would have cost me 120 gems!!! I know skipping objectives is bad in the long run since the price of hitting that easy button goes up every time it’s pressed, but this time it was a fair deal!

    None of my carts stats are maxed out. I use karts with different stats for certain jobs. On Speedway, I have a high speed / low handling kart, as well as a low speed / high handling kart. When I have to “nearly miss” a lot of obstacles, I use the low speed / high handling kart so that I’m not going so fast I lose control.

    So I can vouch for PBA2014’s strategy. Never max the stats… At least not on EVERY kart you own, else they’re too similar to be unique tools!

    Hello, can anyone tell me if the golden slingshot which does “more damage to everything” do as much damage to ice, wood or steel that the ones specialized for only one material does “MUCH more damage to ______”

    Put another way, if i have a level that is all wood, is the golden slingshot as effective as the slingshot made just for wood?

    Thanks any and all !!

    I decided to share observations in passing difficult challenges. This post is about “completely trash an opponent”

    1. In order to you credited for this task, you need to hit the top of the opponent and thus knock him out from karting.
    2. Most convenient place (in my experience) do it during the launch of a slingshot. Task – to land on top karting opponent after a shot from a slingshot.
    3. Best birds – Terence, Corporal pig. But not only.

    I have restarted ALl angry bird games after my android went out and switching over to iPhone. I have actually enjoyed doing this as it seems all new to me and much like the first time I played. I noted that my wife would never move on without three stars so I’m now taking that approach. I never leave a level until three-staring it.

    I am well into ABO, Seasons and SWII all three starred levels. I so far have only played the birds that are “given” at the slingshot. I do NOT want to use any power ups or birds that are not at the slingshot when the level starts. I don’t feel doing so is “canon.”

    Has any level been discovered that is not possible to three-star withOUT using powerups or extra characters we earn. I definitively want to three star with what is given at the start if at all possible.

    Some of the Star War IIs and Seasons have been a little challenging, but, so far all doable and more fun that way. Will I run into a wall and must use power ups or extra birds like in SWII? I hope not.

    Thanks.

    Thank you for your kind feedback. Yes I sort of overlooked that I should do a hyperlink from introduction straight to the tuning stuff. The tuning stuff is not yet complete as I never documented any ‘evolutionary chains’ of the karts as I thought it’s nicer not to spoil it for new players.

    To evolve a kart just upgrade it to maximum spec and it will evolve itself automatically with the same general ‘proportion’ of statistics. So not much complication involved.

    As for the slingshot launch, the timing is all down to practise and if any bad piggies jump the gun it shouldn’t be a problem to put them in their place by punting them off the track lol!

    Even if I botch the launch or jump the start the penalty is not that large and sometimes I deliberately spin out just to annoy the other racers. You can cause some damage or disruption at the start line (my favorite is landing on someone’s head!), straighten out and proceed to win normally.
