    @bill-l, the “ff” mentioned means “Fast Forward” button seen in ToF.

    I see the myth of “pattern in ToF” spreading again. Please, keep in mind that human brains are wired to seeing patterns even when there are none.

    @ddeck, exactly, as in general.  Like having a background in industry.

    I thought Rovio being mentioned with winners at The Finnish Game Awards was full of irony, but it turns out the award had nothing to do with any specific game. Instead, it was just one guy from Rovio who was awarded for Europe wide project of preparing game industry for GDPR. Funny, how Rovio itself did not get any rewards for games…

    It is, in fact, easier to break something than prevent it of breaking.

    @sarai, it’s not the community of wonderful people I’ve met here. It’s the author, Rovio, not giving a flying f**k about the community or basically anything other than filling their pockets.

    @sb311
    , I’m also sorry (to leave), but if you think about it, leaving the thing (AB2, not the community!) swiftly behind is a way to go. Gone are the daily annoyments and quite frankly, a lot of  daily stress I did not want or order, but still felt.

    @ddeck
    , that sounds strangely… it’s almost like spoken by one with an insight with the issue here…

    Ah, nice to see @djlarryt is (for a while?) still here!

    I got fed up, too. Still floating around here, because it’s hard to let go, I guess.

    Don’t you just love how some gaming companies tells you that they can’t do this or that, because it does not prevent cheating effectively 100% or how thay avoid the questions about cheaters being a problem at all?

    “Oh, this could make it more difficult for hackers to operate, but we don’t want to implement it, because it’s not 100% effective… and if it would be, someone would find a way around it anyways. We may only do things that makes abusers less easy to detect and then pat ourself back for doing such a wonderful job. Honest players may be harmed by doing that, but hey… it’s not our fault”

    Ok, maybe that was a bit too salty… ;)

    @sarai, TOS don’t forbid using multiple accounts, so that itself can’t be reason for the ban. I agree with @yue-zhang with the idea of you possibly having used 3rd party app/tool for other purposes and AB2 detecting it. The problem is, author can make their app (mis)detecting rival apps, like something they think could be used to cheating, or even completely innocent traces.

    Rovio being so close-mouthed of everything is one reason I just recently gave up and stopped playing. Me, being finnish, I used to like Rovio being one of the local ice breakers to mobile gaming. Not so much any more.

    @doulgas, wonderful way to express your progress thru DC! I wish I would had thought of that. It indicates which rooms you and maybe other flingers face troubles and what rooms were easier.

    I’m done with this crap now, too. Also, as uninstalling AB2 takes away any chance to continue later, I will not return. I will check here every now and then just for a few weeks, but that’s it.

    Writing  honest review for Google Play may take some time, because a very condensed version is apparently needed. Long first version was not accepted, so quite a bit of rewriting is needed. :D

    @rizdub, I was referring to never-depleting-spells glitch. The one you and @ddeck mention is is not a glitch, but in the view of Rovios side, a new awesome feature! :D

    Today I had yet another ad crashing in ToF, taking all the rewards and invested jewels with it again. That’s it for me. No more.

    Unless event starts really soon… most likely, I don’t see it.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    Those are exactly the things I talked about. Basically, they try to trick you downloading something. At least it means to author of ad/app, that when download counter of their app increases, it’s artificially increasing “popularity” of their app. “Our app is so popular that it’s already been downloaded X times!”. In short, it’s one of the many deceitful marketing tactics.

    @sb311, shhh… be vevy, vevy quiet. :D

    The minute someone reports that bug to Rovio, it will get fixed! If it would be harmful to players, it would most likely become to be as new feature and never fixed.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    @sb311, one can only guess why Rovio don’t fix even elementary bugs like that one with collision detection. My guess is that they don’t see it relevant, because fixing it would not bring them more money and it’s not bad enough to drive away droves of whales.

    Should someone find a way that bug somehow beneficting players, it would be fixed immediately! That’s the way of Rovio.

    Never mind the popup ads, but those opening web page without authorisation?! :(

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    Update? Sounds more like an event to me.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    Spot the difference:

    Case A: Someone at Rovio notices a bug that gives advantage to players: Everybody at Rovio starts screaming and running around like a r***d ape to get bug fixed immediately.

    Case B: Someone at Rovio notices a bug that gives disadvantage to players: Everybody at Rovio tries to be really quiet and not to disturb sleep of code monkeys.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    Try contacting Rovio about that, because they are only ones that can do anything about it.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    So… it’s yet another “experiment” from Rovio. Funny how they push this beta app as supposedly final, while using players as beta testers. It’s also noticeable that they don’t inform us, the beta team, what and when they are testing. If one would have to vote for the most unethical mobile game developer, my vote would go to Rovio.

    Little bit OT, but…

    I’ve recently downloaded for trial run one game that has been advertised in AB2. Not because of the ads, but because I saw a friend trying it and elements of it were looking interesting. The game has different style and while it has some bugs and annoyances, it seems it’s made by far better coders than Rovio has on its payroll. I’ve not seen other than optional ads in it so far and not once has it opened web pages.

    One thing I miss with it is this kind of community, where one can exchange information.

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    Lately some of those video ads have started to open web page (Google Play) without asking authorisation! Until recently, app trying to open web page I was at least asked which browser I would like to use, but those ads bypass that stage completely! :(

    Edit: Before anyone asks… no, I don’t have default/preferred browser set on my mobile devices.

    Today DC and KPP were nice. I did buy new cards once with other account, because KP didn’t budge enough, despite several hits. I didn’t want to play it again, so 60 jewels was spent. Other than than, both DC and KPP were relatively easy.

    When I saw last room of KPP, I knew I’d complete that. Simply cleaning obstacles, dropping KP and then waiting KP killing itself slowly by rolling down left and flower kicking it back up was just a question about time. After I got KP to down left, I put my devices aside for 10 minutes and went to make breakfast. When I came back, room was completed. ;)

    It could be that someone jealous of their rankings just don’t understand how much obsessive competive people are using real money for the game and made accusations after seeing same players at top day after day? I guess @puffs may be victim of such occurence, but we don’t know what has really happened.

    I know I had hard time believing how much money some people are using just for mobile game! :D

    Not to mention that the game we are talking here is so full of bugs that Rovio even uses players as their beta testers…

    RawDataSystems
    @rawdatasystems

    @the1up,

    Yes, you were able to get them before the event.

    Only Rovio knows? Nowadays the event hats are often available only from ToF after the event starts. After event ends they end up available for buying with BP.

    Not as far as I know.
