Those intel ads are super-annoying. I always turn off the sound for ads, so I just get to watch some guy go yakkety-yak. I have no idea what he’s saying.

That happens a lot. If you can’t get to an object, then just try again with a new level. It’s all part of the game, I think.

    No.

Stella Pop is not reproducible. The bubble colors are too random. I got tired of fighting the randomness and abandoned the game a long time ago.

A new Seasons update came out this morning.

    ?

    What’s new?

I see the same Finals levels, same golden egg levels, same Pig Days levels.

    Thank you.

I’ve been relying on my own guesswork, since I actually saw only one Star Wars movie, ever. I saw the original movie when it was first released in 1977. Yes, I am that old.

I did not enjoy the movie that much, so passed up all the others. I have little or no idea what all these characters actually do in the movie.

There was a “The End” screen in AB Star Wars. There has been no such screen in AB SWII. There are various places where “S” levels could be added and the more recent episodes are shorter than the older ones.

I have a hunch SWII is still incomplete. I continue to hoard melt characters in anticipation of new levels.

Even if they never add new levels, I can still go back and re-play MYD to increase my scores. The first time I went through MYD, I stopped with the first 3-star score and did not replay fun levels in hopes of a higher score.

Today I completed the last AB Space Mirror World level. I’ve been patient, waiting to complete levels as they came out of Daily Missions. My goal was to maximize my Space Eagle earnings.

As of now, I have 502 Space Eagles. I will continue missions, but predict they will be a lot of low-point “destroy X blocks/mutants/etc” and difficult “beat your own score” missions.

I live in California and visit Sweden about once a year. My Swedish friends have given me a whole lot of Angry Birds stuff that I never see in the retail markets here, such as gummy bear type characters, shampoo, bath gel, lotion, large triangular “Chuck” pillow, etc.

You are confusing median with average.

    Three scores:

    10
    20
    40

    Average = (10+20+40)/3 = 23.3

Median is the number in the middle: 20

The world’s cutest characters and graphics can’t make up for boring and unpredictable game play.

Guess what. I got five Endor Lukes today in the Carbonite Melt. I thought of you and wished you luck.

I’m with you. Angry Birds games are the only games I play. They are cute, non-bloody and well designed. Usually.

In the original game, Seasons and Rio, you could buy a Mighty Eagle once for 99 cents. Once purchased, you had infinite Mighty Eagles that added a “game within a game” to the play. The Mightly Eagle swoops down and destroys everything it its path. The goal is to “feather” the level, achieved with 100% destruction. You can get 100% even with some objects left undestroyed.

With AB Space, they introduced the Mighty Space Eagle. You get a certain number during normal gameplay, but more MSEs are available for purchase for about 10 cents each. I refuse to pay 10 cents each for MSEs. Thus, I “feathered” as many levels I could, then essentially abandoned the Mighty Space Eagle. (Similarly, the Star Wars I game had the Millennium Falcon which worked the same way, for a price. I played with as many free MFs as I could, then abanonded it.)

When they came out with Mirror World, suddenly there was a new means of earning MSEs through normal game play. By completing the assigned missions, I was able to open Brass Hogs levels AND earn more MSEs. I am now well past the point of Brass Hogs levels. I am completing the daily missions with two goals:

    1. Accumulate as many Might Space Eagles without paying any real money
    2. Three-star the Mirror World levels

It’s slow, but sure. I have about half the Mirror World levels completed, and over two hundred MSEs. My plan is to go back to “feathering” Space Normal World levels once I have completed Mirror World. By that time I should have 400+ MSEs.

My suggestion to you is to look at the walkthroughs for the Mighty Space Eagle and get an idea of how it works. Be patient.

The game is obviously designed for the impatient player who is willing to pay real money to open levels and buy MSEs and Millennium Falcons.

For stone or glass block destruction missions, try Brass Hogs level 11. Glass blocks in normal world. Stone blocks in mirror world.

    DaBoid
    @daboid

    @wolfwoman

    Exactly.

The number of points increases as you go. It’s all about the points. Some actually decline low-point missions in order to get more points faster.

The best strategy is to be patient. I finished Brass Hogs long ago, and am still collecting daily missions and points. I am up to 750 points now. As I collect points, I gain Mighty Space Eagles.

My goal is to get enough Mighty Space Eagles to “feather” non-mirror levels without having to buy Mighty Space Eagles for real money.

If you enjoy the game and want to progress, then stick with it. If you find it to be an exercise in frustration, then abandon it and go on to something else. I spend a lot of time on airplanes, so I enjoy having a cute little game to pass the time when I don’t have wifi.

    Level 11 has been fixed.

After many many tries, I could not come close to three-starring Level 11. After the update today, I three-starred on my first try.

This game is of much lower quality than the flagship Angry Birds games. I’m not real happy with it.

I’ve three starred the first 14 reward levels for doing the missions in mirror worlds and I’ve just completed today’s 3 missions and it didn’t open a new reward level for me :-O. Has anyone else had this happen?

It all has to do with points. When you get a reward, look for the points in a small circle. You won’t get a reward until you reach the next threshold of points.

For example, if you see 95/100 that means you have 95 points and the next level is 100. If your reward is 2 points, you will increment to 97/100. No reward.

I have a new definition of Angry Birds success: One Star.

I enjoy playing the flinging Angry Birds games. 99 cents for a game with unlimited play. Another 99 cents for the Mighty Eagle, which doubled the game enjoyment. Fine. Love it.

I would gladly pay for Stella Pop, if I could pay once and know that three-starring levels was possible.

After playing Stella Pop for a few days now, I realize that three-stars are only possible for some levels if you buy power-ups. I refuse. Similarly I refuse to pester my real life friends with Facebook requests.

Take Level 5 for example. I have played this one dozens of times. I know the strategy, and even after playing perfect games (no misses), I am still stuck with 2 stars. I don’t even know my own high score as the game does not display high scores. I don’t know what the 3-star threshold is. It’s too random. I don’t know if I’m even coming close.

So, I’m taking a new attitude. It’s a game I pick up when I have a little time to kill. Get one star, move on to the next level. Run out of lives? Go do something else. Pick up the game later if and when I remember.

Pop Hector Porko with the first Red.

Aim Chuck towards former location of Hector Porko, but divert to the lava rock, popping northeast pig en route. The lava rock should burst and take out a few more. Second Chuck to clean up.

    I three-starred with 78710.

    Here’s my record:

    5/7/2014 Hologram Darth Sidious
    8/27/2014 Hologram Darth Sidious
    9/5/2014 Hologram Darth Sidious
    12/29/2014 Hologram Darth Sidious
    1/11/2015 Hologram Darth Sidious
    1/15/2015 Hologram Darth Sidious

I check the Carbonite Melts more often than twice a day. They often send ads, allowing a character capture. I have found that the “more valuable” characters tend to come after an ad.

I have just the thing for a guy with large hands and fat fingers:

    Capacitive Stylus.

It’s just like a stylus used for the old-style video games and Palm Pilots, but with a capacitive tip that works on an tablet or smartphone screen.

Even with my delicate lady fingers, I find it easier to enter text and fling birds with teh capacitive stylus. I got mine at Best Buy, but there are available at all computer supply places.
