All of the ad providers have changed the 1st x to AppStore request, and I believe they intentionally made the x range smaller so we have to hunt & peck to stop it. Even then I get a 2nd & sometimes 3rd screen with another x on it that is the same way.

I’ve said for a few years rovio no longer owns the game, the damned ad providers do. After all, the ads are a multi-billion profit for them.

Go to Facebook, Settings&Privacy>Settings>Apps and Websites (on the right side)

REMOVE AB FRIENDS from that list there.

IPAD> DELETE the AB Friends app.

shut your device down and restart it

Reinstall the game. And OPEN the app

I should ask you to login with FACEBOOK, than make you jump through the hoops of allowing Facebook to ‘connect’ to AB Friends.

Answer YES, let the app track you (or you will lose your friends list).

This worked  for me.

I can’t help you. I only play the arena if I get completely bored with my day.

It is , IMO, a POS and a waste of battery.
I get paired with players with lower FO’s and get trounced! And I am not a bad player.
Also, I think rovio allows cheaters there as they do in the clan battles and other events.

I don’t think Rovio knows what the new arena is about either. Just another arbitrary change to the game for change sake.

IMO, new clans are a waste of time. There are hundreds of clans that have 5 to 10 members looking for players.
My advice, find clans that already exists p, in you language and join one.

Been there done that, closed the clan & never got an request to join from anyone.

I would rather let them back in, and bust butt when I have to, & I do!.

I have rules for new(or returning) members?

I let ppl kicked out of my clan back in. But if they don’t do the Clan battles, I kick them out again, again, and again if necessary.

I really PO’s me that ppl joining don’t take the time to actually read the information posted to the join screen.

Completely agree, if not for keeping a clan playable with 5 members, this large bloated, scamming POS would be gone. There are other games I play, so AB2 is not a priority anymore.

imwas explicitly told by a rovio ‘support’ person that DC & KPP king pigs have been greatly enhanced to make them harder to kill. And i won’t spend the gems nor real money just to get ROVIO’s  pissant  rewards

And they really don’t care if there are cheaters, bottom line is all that is on their minds. Can’t track cheaters if all they are looking at is income!

I have angry birds original on my iPod, iPad, and on an old PC. I still go back to play it occasionally because IMO, it was a far better game than curr3nt AB original and AB2.

Yep, DC & KPP are both becoming POS’s for casual players. I manage to win them both once in a while without spending more than 120 gems, but mostly not willing to spend even 60 in DC, if there is no KPP.

I got feathers and a chest this day when I logged on in reference to this problem. I didn’t have the problem, but got the pig mail for it anyway.

I sent them an email but didn’t include a screen shot showing the collect stars icon was gone. My bad, but I did tell them that the icon for the stars disappeared exactly at the time it was to end.

I still haven’t heard back from Rovio. Doubt I ever will. IMO, just another Rovio in game adjustment that went horribly wrong. Typical Rovio these past several years.

Yeah, this latest ‘upgrade’ sucks, and has taken a few steps backwards.

definition of upgrade>>> take out old bugs, add a great gob of more bugs!

I have an iPad 5th gen about 1 1/2 years old, and same thing happens on it with the recent AB Friends update.

I find that most things work ‘reasonably’ well, except when I restart a level the Rovio spam stays on for 3 to 4 seconds, sometimes more, regardless of how I try to get past it using the restart switch(the circular one with the arrow head on it.

Appears to me Rovio has gone back to the Rovio restart spam timing from several years back, back before the intro of the power ups.

IMO, this has taken away from game enjoyment, slowed down play, and I’m about to remove AB Friends.

I doubt Rovio will be willing to make changes that will actually make it better for us to use and enjoy.

I have played this with several friends in my clan , I know when they open the app. And the minute they do, they are ‘in the clan’.

About time the butt heads give us a game that doesn’t require total gem reduction and real money to collect them in the TOF.

But I’m betting the next hat event after thus in WILL BE a new 10k hat set.

OK, so I check and a member ‘entered the clan 12 minutes ago’ and no event participation. I check back in 30 minutes, and it still shows that member ‘entered the clan 42 minutes ago’, still no clan participation.

So, I guess I am to assume that member is sitting there with it’s thumb up it’s butt?

I have asked rovio ‘support’, but don’t expect to hear back from them for a month or more.

But my personal belief is that if a member logs in, and plays anything(arena, island, challenges, mebc) it is counted as being in the clan’.

If that is true, then rovio are really screwing with its users. As usual!

@jj-gotcha, I get those cryptic crappy curtly stated responses from rovio all the time. In fact I basically have stopped complaining about their underhanded tactics.

Apparently there does not have to be an update for that sort of BS to happen since it is a WiFi/data type of game where rovio can change it at will without letting users know in advance.

My opinion, everything rovio is a big SCAM.

I just noticed the shuffle button is gone on my iPad. Missing in last clan battle, gone from the arena, and nowhere to be seen in the episode out on the mountain. I will have to check next clan events.

Personally I don’t miss it, nor the restart. Only have tapped them by accident. And long wished they could be ‘brought up’ when needed.
