Twice it has happened to me on the third day, and they seem to happen on specific times of the day even though I have been exiting the app and clearing the RAM on my device regularly after play. Coincidentally I didn’t get any Unicron runs. I conclude that mine happened during those precious nodes, and it has nothing to do with my device having inadequate RAM – buggy game as usual.

I did not spend any money paying for him because my device has been locked. You can see that Dead End indeed popped up for Token Exchange at the Dead End of the token exchange.

Now a lot others have already bought him via token exchange during this event.You guys should really offer him for Token Exchange in another event soon. [Hint: ADRIFT] ;-)

Has anyone ever died on the first competition node, score ZERO points and yet make it into the leaderboard in the last place, and also stay there for more 1 hour in the competition?

I suddenly see the irony in the event notification screen – Shockwave tripping on the ice is a metaphor for all the mess the Exient/Rovio has rolled out in this competition. From the hackable sparks to the nerfing to the squad bonus design.

@elpapam I’ve seen a gold striped badge in the same shape as the bronze we all start out with in my leaderboard. I’m guessing it’s the next stage after the crown you posted.

A word about Sparks and promotion – I notice in my leaderboard today there is a gold badge rank beyond the bronze badge. I’m unsure of the percentage though.

@phillips During the end of the Acid Storm challenge Rovio offered an additional 1000 tokens to all players as an apology for the lost connection issue. It will be great if they can redo the same offer.

@phillips It seems the competition is currently anything goes – half of the top ten in my leaderboard now have used Energon Grimlock in their last node. Earlier on there was actually more variety until a point where most of them have changed over to E Grimlock even when they don’t have any bonus with him.

Did anyone else notice that Energon Starscream has not been featured as a bonus bot for at least the past three days? I don’t think I’m imagining this.

@phillips I was bested by a late entry to the leaderboard on the final hour of the Falling Balloon Pig day. I could swear that the person (I cannot remember the yet another ridiculous username since I was too occupied to screenshot it) was nowhere in the board until the last 2 hours into the day.

@lewie4 Intentional bot or not, these entries are creating unfairness in the competition and it’s frustrating to a lot of people. There should be a way to prevent last minute additions to the board of an already stable leaderboard especially near the end of the day!

@armourbender I feel sad for you with regards to your lost battle.

First of all you can find in the member’s page by clicking your username, the Album link.
Once there you will see “Upload”.
Click that you will find a selection to upload from your device.
Click save after the upload. It will bring you to your photo.
Copy the “embed picture” URL and paste it to your post.

I have one wild hypothesis to explain how the other guy best you. He probably “drove” through each run which didn’t have Unicron forsaking any points and then only playing the Unicron runs and killing Unicron each time. For him to earn that many points, he would have done A LOT OF gem recharge spending probably more than 1000 gems just to score on Unicron that many times to upset your score. Considering that the hour bonus was 2.2x all gained scores (with Energon Grimlock and Photoblast), it did seem a good opportunity for such a run however at a cost of gems.

It is unfair for a lot of us considering that he should have just spent this gems “buying tokens” using those gems instead of upsetting the competition.

@jimmy-necessary Same as you I have not encountered Unicron after six runs today after 3 hours from start(floating balloon pig day). My average is 400 points pre bonus with the occassional 600 (happened only once so far). If I consider this into calculation the leaders in your leaderboard would have used about 2 gem recharges and gotten Unicron at least once to score 4700 in the first half hour (or >8000 with @sam-spargo).

But as @phillips say these people might only have that short time to play the competition and thus are putting their bet into the early hour. You might want to just compete as much as you can without worrying about the others are at for now. You could always catch up later on if you’re lucky.

Anybody else got the feeling that Rovio are going to pull a fast 1 and roll out Dead End on the 24th Just days before this event runs out??? As I have as it will go with everything else they’ve been up to, This event has a lot of addons and players are using their tokens to add them to their Bots and then BAMG Dead End will appear.

@phillips perhaps we have a misunderstanding – I am posting the interesting things I observed in the current event leaderboards. I am not directly accusing the presence of bots although I am inclined to believe there is some odd discrepancies such as this one.

I for one could also accept the fact that perhaps such people as JIMBO could be big gem spenders which I have proposed in my previous post.

By the way as you mentioned if JIMBO did play 12 natural runs in the 9 hours of my absconded, he would have had to score an average of 811 per run to land at 9728. Given that it is the Thunderstruck event where scores were relatively low (this was taken during the Energon structure day), it is still pretty impressive for JIMBO (even if he was able to kill Unicron one or twice) to rack up so much points without having to use gem recharge.

@beauregard, @rlcoone, @jimmy-necessary. I noticed what Beauregard mentioned back then in the Thunderstruck event.

Notice that in the following three screenshots, “JIMBO” appeared out of nowhere to take 3rd place in the board.

Then suddenly just as the competition day is about to end, JIMBO turned up out of nowhere. Even if JIMBO started at the very bottom, you would have to imagine the amount of destruction he has caused (literally) to gain 6000 points ahead of all the others to be placed third.

The time remaining is also evidence to the sudden arrival – how can one earn so many points ahead of the competition while having not been anywhere on the board for the past 22 hours?

At the same time you could also see that RVR has made progress but not as much as JIMBO did. Let’s not forget that this observation was made back during the seeker only Thunderstruck event where killing Unicron and Boss Pig were more challenging than with the current event.

However, considering all other cases, it is safe to say that either we have bots being inserted into the competition sporadically or we have big spenders such as JIMBO in our ranks.

I’ve only managed to destroy one WMT since the event start. My kill was with Level 10 Acid Storm with the accessories decked out and also because I had quite a lot of time with him and he was being bombarded by another WMT behind him.

Each kill results in 75 points which is a lot but difficult to come by in this challenge ?
