Rovibot@rovibotI am at 11 million (plus or minus) … I have been working on my miles achievement, so I have not been concerned at all with coins as I get Shieldor and just drive on through the level.
It takes about 1.7 million in coin to get a bot from level 1 to level 15, so have enough coin for at least 6 bots to level 15.
With the current event, coin accumulation has been increased as the levels are longer and the damage given by a bot during the event has been raised versus a normal node.
At the end of the day though, what else are you going to do with the coins? Hopefully Rovio will open up new areas of the map … this may imply coins for that. Until something like that, just hang on to them.
Edit:
I rarely watch ads these days.
Rovibot@rovibotThe turkeys are gone!!! Amen! :)
I see Christmas trees, snowmen, presents, candy canes.
Rovibot@rovibotAs you get to higher levels, it can escalate your upgrade rates significantly.
You will also need a bunch of gems for the accessory achievement … I say save that for the very end though after all your bots are maxed out.
Rovibot@rovibotSave them for mission portals for now. I am not sure what current rates are, but you will need a good 700 gems I am thinking for those.
Rovibot@rovibotDon’t mess with the time settings?
Rovibot@rovibotWhy? You purchase a car from a dealership for $X … do you expect that car to stay at $X forever? Does the car have to be purchased with currency? Can the car be purchased with a trade in that the dealership considers as acceptable? Can the dealership give the car away as a promotion?
I purchased both Nemisis and Rodimus. If Rovio ends up offering these guys for gems for example, I may feel a little burned … but no more than if I had purchased an item at an electronics store and then a week later the same store throws a coupon out for that item.
Rovibot@rovibotI see Rovio offering them again around Christmas … along with Santa hats, etc in the package.
Rovibot@rovibotI am not sure if I will purchase the next bot, mind you I said that last time too. It is getting pretty old to get a bot up to level XX. If the bot brings a new area in the map … I will probably bite. I may pass on the next guy otherwise.
Rovibot@rovibotRodimus is confusing from an upgrade perspective. He can be upgraded all the way up to 15 and your rank and title will reflect that accordingly; however, the graphics on the upgrade charts seem to only suggest level 10.
I am not sure how far the glitch goes though and if his weapons are crippled to level 10 too.
Rovibot@rovibotI suspect the Turkey Challenge will unlock the next bot.
Rovibot@rovibotMissions or the lab are the only ways. You could use pigs followed by gems to finish the missions early. Lab you could use gems till you get the materials you want. I find if you know your combinations in the lab though, you can typically get what you are lacking there.
Rovibot@rovibotWell, considering this is all “half-baked” … I am not going to bust a gut to get it. While it would be cool to experience something different, I am content with waiting.
Looks exciting though and gives me motivation to keep playing to get more gems and pigs for the future. (I am currently at level 450 with 85/86 achievements.)
Rovibot@rovibotiOS just did a soft update to 1.8.10.8. Nothing new that I can see.
Rovibot@rovibotOkay they are back. Combination of time to download or restarts or Rovio flipped a switch.
Rovibot@rovibotI did not lose my current pumpkin count. I just cannot accumulate anymore.
Rovibot@rovibotEither Terrance (Heatwaves) with an Eggbot intercept using goldbrick.
Galvatrons with an Eggbot intercept using goldbrick does well too.
Rovibot@rovibotPersonally, I enjoy the animations … so sometimes I do NOT thank just to see the animation that the given bots might do. Some are funny.
Rovibot@rovibotFor iOS, Energon Grimlock is still DOA, DUD, Wimp, Lame, MIA … hopefully you get the hint.
Please fix him in iOS too.
Rovibot@rovibot@DawniJeann, I have experienced the same. With WiFi/Cellular on, the game will eventually crash.
It appears to be WiFi related. If I am playing with WiFi/Cell on, and I get a text or an email, the game crashes.
It is like the game is so memory hungry, anything that comes and grabs some RAM, the game throws a fit, and then dies a quick death.
With WiFi/Cell off, I can play the game all day … and its fun! The only drawback to that is that now that materials have additional value for upgrading and the side kick bots, if I do a level where a score a large amount of pigs, I cannot run the video to double them.
Rovibot@rovibotWith my iPad Air if I have wifi and cellular off the game is solid. I can play it all day. I turn wifi on and the game stutters and crashes left and right. So with wifi I get the videos to double things but the game crashes literally every few minutes. With no wifi I can play all day but no double videos. I will take playability over no doubles. It is a fun game otherwise.
Rovibot@rovibotWell, I called it.
So in short, if you cannot upgrade the game with no missions or characters upgrading … then Rovio does not really expect anyone to be playing this game???
This was a HUGE miss in their testing by Rovio!
From the sounds of it, material requirements for level upgrades increase dramatically with the update. Hence, making mission success rates all the more important. I think I am going to beef up some of my Mission Squads (Thinker, Seeker, Warrior) a bit more while the material requirements are low for a week or so first. Then … I will STOP playing the game … so it can upgrade. Beefing up my mission squads will help ensure easier success rates for missions and hence more materials earned.
It also sounds like it is best to go into the Mad Scientist stage with 50 gems, so I will accumulate those too prior to upgrading too.
Rovibot@rovibotOne thing I do find interesting is that when I do a fresh install of what is now the prior version, it starts up fine … does the cartoon, I play the first level of Optimus, it then senses I have a Facebook login so it says going to update, it then pauses and says it cannot restore my progress until everything has downloaded and I have a download indicator that is typically around 80%. After it gets to 100% I click Ok and the game restores as normal. So the game lets you play it even though it has not downloaded everything yet.
It almost seems like with this latest update, the game is trying to start, but for us higher level folks, it has not retrieved all of the higher level stuff yet and hence crashes. Either way, I am stuck on the now old version, which I am fine with. It gives me an opportunity to upgrade a level or two more before upgrades get harder.
Rovibot@rovibotTried to uninstall and reinstall … kept on crashing.
Via settings, told iPhone not to automatically update apps.
Deleted app.
Via iTunes, reinstalled prior version of the app. iTunes did not download the new version yet.
I have the old version of the app back and working
iPhone 6
iOS 9 Beta
Not Jailbroken
WA, USA
Level 291Edit:
I have tried logging out of Facebook and the Game Center, deleting the app, and doing a fresh install. I cannot even get that to work. Crashes during load.
Rovibot@rovibotI have an iPad and an iPhone that I alternate between. I made sure my iPad had updated to the same spot that I was on the iPhone. I then deleted Transformers off of my iPhone and reinstalled it. Eventually the iPhone updated to where I was prior. Just after that I got a gem box with 4 in it. That was the first box I had seen literally in weeks. I am not saying that is the solution, but I got 4 gems out of deleting and reinstalling.
