Angry Birds Space Cosmic Crystals Level 7-17 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Space Cosmic Crystals level 7-17 is to go around the southern planet, bumping the asteroid beyond into the largest gravitational field. When the planet implodes, the debris should scatter the entire level, popping the remaining pigs. The score in the video below is 69,260.

Rushing to the computer after gettin 3 stars at first attempt (at that time 64k) and finding that my strategi to hit the astroid was the same as the video, i decided to conribute to see 2 star 3 star level..
2 star 59k+ 3 star 60k+.
of course with all that flinging to halfgood half bad strategies you manage to get a high score sometimes. My lucky day today. Want to see it beaten! Its not just pushing the asteroids, the piggies rollround at different speeds so a lot of coordination is needed. as I was trying to get only 60k, I am afraid I didnt really look what happend more than doing as walkthrough vid. Tried a lot of things but this is upto now the best.

Shoot down at about 45 degrees and flick the medium sized asteroid to the right. It hits the small asteroid which nudges the big asteroid, and both fall to detonate the big crystal planet. Shrapnel and debris fly back to the left and blow up the other two. Not sure if this was luck or there’s some timing involved with respect to the orbiting pigs. 73290

Best results if you aim super-fast and release when the first of the 2 piggies in the big orb is between 12 and 2 o’clock. That way they will fly out of orbit into northern sphere and kill that pig. You’ll get the crystal in 50% of tries because something will remove the little asteroid that blocks the shard that will fall onto it. The only problem is destruction of the two smaller spheres and to kill that little pig down left. This is where the L-factor comes in.

As long as you aim a score in the low 70k’s, I would rather suggest that you wait for the next orbit of the pig pairs. Shoot as aerly as possible within @happyshake ‘s window (i.e. when leading pig is at 2:00). Then, you are almost guaranteed that the biggest shard of the planet crushes the leftmost pig and that some debris hit the blue gem, hence giving something around 70k.

I was encouraged by @Romo to give this level another look, and with the aid of his blog I quickly racked up three scores over 77k. Thank you!

Aiming point:

Shoot at the nearest boulder in the South group at full speed. Just a fraction below the middle of it. If all goes well, the boulders will bump into each other and the chain reaction sends the one nearest the large crystal planet to the surface. Meanwhile, Red slowly continues on and lands on the large crystal planet slightly after and to the South of that boulder. This breaks the large crystal planet, and the explosion sends Red on his way to collect the 3k crystal on the stone planet. Debris takes care of the other two pigs and crystal planets.

Timing:

Again, Romo has some excellent screenshots in his blog but the accompanying Korean text must have read “Never try it this way, fool!” I couldn’t get it to work. What did work, was releasing Red when the larger of the 2 pigs circling the planet was at about the 4 or 5 o’clock position.

Here is my elaboration of @burpie‘s strat. The timing issue is very subtle here: if you aim from the very same pixel (something that you can do on a PC and a mouse, possibly resetting with the ‘R’ key), then the chain of events leading to explosion of large planet almost always occurs at the same moment, so that timing of the shot makes sense. If you change your aiming point even in the slightest way, then this no longer work and you cannot know in advance when to release the sling. This being said, once you control this crucial issue, it is up to you to decide what you want to destroy with the two released orbiting pigs. @burpie‘s advice is more natural, but you will see that a fairly complicated chain of events goes on after first planet explosion.
