Amazing to come across this post because I was preparing a similar one but this is so much better than anything I could have come up with. This game has been nothing but constant, money-grubbing disrespect for all of us playing this and all the other Rovio games.

Yes…they totally destroyed Starscream who I used as my second character in Jenga where he would wipe out everything easily and max score was almost always achieved – now he can barely knock out anything. This is so unfair (as I’ve fully accessorized him and he was very powerful). Just about done with this whole unfair mess of a game.

I really don’t have a clue why they do this…do they enjoy frustrating everyone? Is that fun for Rovio? I wish they would F*** less with this game and instead figure out how to stop the hacking in all their other Angry Birds rip off games that I’m hooked on where the winner always has an unachievable score that’s twice as much as the second score….they can’t even fix that or more likely, don’t give a rip.

What is the purpose of this weak sperm, ridiculous Prime Event that only allows weak sperm, gutless TFs that die immediately and includes no Energonicons?!? The game is becoming as stupid as it is boring. Adding all these new TFs that are gutless and useless and stupid, stupid events to acquire accessories that dumb down the already weak sperm TFs into Trump handles. Get real Rovio!

Yesterday I had a task of “avoiding” falling monoliths without being hit. Interestingly enough, I noticed in all the nodes I ran, the towers would never start to fall. They’d just sit there so you couldn’t fulfill the task. Same thing happened yesterday with the task “board Astro train while scrambled by a missile” – NONE of the nodes I played yesterday included any missiles near the end of a node so could not accomplish that task. This morning, however, ran a node and was pelted with missiles at the end of the run and in all the nodes today the monoliths can’t begin falling fast enough. Pretty tricky the way they can program that…irritating as hell but impressive nonetheless.

I have all the accessories for Shockwave and before the latest upgrade he was a fairly formidable TF. Now he is a total, useless wimp (even fully accessorized). He took three shots at an ordinary pig and still couldn’t bring him down. I noticed today there was a 10 gem special node with Shockwave…what a complete waste of time and gems as he is now virtually useless at destroying anything.

Mighty League is a ridiculous money grabbing joke. Master League is where all the world-wide cheaters and hacks come to roost and exploit any non-cheater who tries to beat their completely ridiculous and unbeatable scores. Rovio must know all those top scores are cheats and hacks but they do nothing about it. The cheat scores are so obvious, sometimes 4 or 5 times more points than if you were to obliterate every single item on the screen in less than a second with every power up available. Rovio, do you really enjoy exploiting people who enjoy playing your games on a level playing field? Why don’t you do something about these obvious cheats and their ridiculous scores? It’s the exact same situation in the equally ridiculous “Pig Challenge” in AB Seasons….hacks and cheats obtaining scores 3 to 5 times higher than possible using every available power up. I’m truly sick of the money grabbing, but on an uneven playing field it goes beyond greed to something that should be illegal….when you charge for game play then you should have a way to identify and disqualify cheaters and score hackers.

The Galvatrons’ are completely useless also….even with the most powerful and “expensive” accessories you can “buy” for them. And what about poor Starscream? It’s so wrong to ruin a game so many have invested time and money to enjoy and get kicked in the head instead.

Appreciate you taking the time to explain. I don’t always win the challenge but usually do. Don’t like spending gems when I don’t have to. Today’s contest just ended. I spent 30 gems total and won 1st place with a 965 total pigs…2nd was 390 pigs and 3rd was 270 pigs. Over the course of the Chinese New Year contest, I’ve collected 8,100 total tokens so you tell me if I got 550 every day.

I don’t understand many of the comments. I’m talking about winning 1000 tokens plus all the little levels of bonus tokens to get there. What I do is usually enough to get to the max available from each challenge. Energon Grimlock with sword accessory and always Glassar which I forgot to mention in my original post.

If you limit your competition time to 8 – 10 hours, it almost guarantees that the most you have to spend to win the CHALLENGE, and by that I mean the 1000 awarded to first place. I don’t understand what you mean Optimus, when you ask about the Competition versus the Challenge. My formula nets me the wining maximum of 1000 tokens + around 100 – 300 more every day of every challenge over the past 4 months with the exception of the two where I came in 2nd and only won 500 both times.

And as I stated, the maximum number of gems I’ve had to spend to do so is 10+20+40 = 70 gems to do so.

My point being don’t play with the obsessives so who think playing over 24 hours will help them win first place i.e., the 1000 token first place prize.

Horrible update. All my TF’s are level 15 and all of them have powered down to a performance level equivalent to a level 10 or 11. Especially noticeable in both Galvatrons, Starscream, Megatron, Brawl and lots of other pig TFs. Where it really becomes obvious is in intercepting an eggbot level. TF’s that used to wipe out the eggbot less than half way thru a level now can barely nail him by the end of the level. I noticed since I fully equipped my Soundwaves (which were always horrible) in the recent contest, they never come up anymore when before those non energon Soundwaves were everywhere and I hated playing with both of them. Energon Soundwave has always been pretty good but they may have “dumbed down” him too.

And why a token exchange button that does nothing…I’m using an iPad but do others actually have a contest in play?

All and all, just disappointing and beyond frustrating after all the time and money invested to achieve high performance TFs and to have it all simply ripped away. Shame on Rovio once again.

I have used Energon Grimlock since Thankgiving for ALL the holiday challenges. Since TG, I’ve come in first or second place on every challenge and have been 1st place every day but one in the Holiday Challenge. I like E Grimlock and always pair him with Glassor because even when taking a hit, he repairs himself so he is always 100% to start the next event. His accuracy is spot on whether you’re going for pigs, presents or anything else. It really surprises me no one else does this. I have over 24 million coins so the main thing for me is to have Glassor there to wipe out anything E Grimlock misses or when he runs out of charge for a second.

I begin the event around 3 or 4 pm. Pacific Time zone starts the challenge at midnight and as many have said, the race is on when you start and I think this is incredibly fair. Early on I would start early but I think that’s a mistake because that’s where the fanatics are and they will play til they win and spend any amount of gems necessary to do so. I play the first event and will spend the 20-40-60-80-100 gems for the recharges. But then I’m done spending gems and just wait until fully charged to 4 events and any events ready by midnight.

Exactly the same three achievements gone…plus I lost about 40 miles toward what WAS my only remaining achievement…traveling 5,000 miles. When I quit the game I had 4,020 miles and now I have 3,978. Irritating!

Well, you answered one question I had. I was certain that once I’d reached $1 mil in coins it would take me back to zero. Yes, the game is now boring at level 435 and everything done but I just know the next update will bring progress to a screeching halt and demand some other money spending action to achieve.

I updated and now the game won’t load on my iPad Air. Now it doesn’t open at all…just pops back to the home screen.

IOS…same problem as all complaints above…”you can’t watch another video” crap when I haven’t been able to watch ANY video for over 36 hours. Thought it was maybe because my level was high and checked in here and found out I was not alone in the problem. This game is too glitchy for words and I’m running out of patience with the boredom and crashing.

Now that I think about it, I’m having the same problem with Soundwave…at level 15 he is pretty worthless and I rely on the buddy and Glassor…no damage to missiles, bonds and towers…not as bad as Energon Grimlock but pretty useless…Level 15 and still a dud Soundwave
