As Dahnlor mentioned, submitting a support ticket has resolved my issue. Had a quick response for a game Rovio is no longer supporting. It is an issue on their side and seems that they can only fix it.

    You’re right you can play all aspects of the game but that’s after you give your bird a name. Didn’t realize as I have never named my bird before.

    Interesting observation tho. So I named my bird and had access to the other parts of the game. I then copied my save folder to another location and uninstalled the game. After reinstall I get a new player ID. Restoring the save files restores my progress but is now tied to the new ID… My bird does not have a name again and parts of the game are not accessible like clans.

    The save files only retain some aspects of your game status it seems.

    Looking at Rovio’s TOS, there is no mention of using save files. They have wording regarding using hacks or modifying the use of the game etc… But if you’re starting where you left off with all your stats the same, I’d argue that you haven’t altered the game in any sort of way? This of course is using the files that Rovio has created for you and not something you hacked to create. I’m not trying to justify what I’m doing is correct but just merely using the tools provided by the content creator.

    And giving the OP an option whether he/she chooses to do so is up to them.

    This is how I remember how things work (could be totally wrong of course).

    If you don’t connect to FB, you’re just playing the game (arena works too) like a single player version so to speak. You can’t participate in clans, ME, use snatchlings etc… If something in the game goes wrong and you want to be compensated not sure if Rovio can help. But with that said, your progress is saved locally in your “Save” folder and not in Rovio’s server. Therefore, moving from one device to another, just transfer the files and you get to start on your new device, where you left off from your old device. It’s like any game on a pc, you just take your saved files and move to a new computer. You start where you left off. I’ve now transferred to three new devices and have yet to be flagged by Rovio (not bragging, just merely stating my experience). I always back up the save folder before installing any AB2 updates because you never know with Rovio what might happen. This is just insurance since I’ve been playing a while and I do not want to lose my progress. I honestly don’t think Rovio can do anything about it (like banning you). I say this as I don’t think Rovio can identify your account (because you technically don’t have one).

    This works when you need to reinstall the game for whatever the reason as well.

    Now if you do connect to FB, your progress is saved locally as well as to their server. So on your new device, you connect AB2 to your FB account, then you start where you left off. With FB connected, you can participate in the multiplayer aspect of the game. And Rovio can easily keep tabs on your progress and detect when you’re supposedly cheating like if you all of a sudden gain 80 million BPs. This method will not require you do to any file transfers.

    And if you want to start where you left on a new device and you don’t want to connect to FB anymore? Again you just copy the files from your save folder over onto your new device and you should be good to go. If you do play for a while and decide to connect to FB later after you’ve made some progress, then I believe your account gets sync’d. This could potentially lead to your account being banned. Can’t confirm that part tho as I don’t use FB for AB2.

    If Rovio bans me because I’ve used my save files to start where I left off on a new device, I’ll come back and let you all know so you don’t land in the same boat I did if you decide to go this route. At that point, I’d probably stop playing AB2 anyway…

    Hope this helps.

    I know this might be late of a response but there is a way to transfer your progress without FB. You just need to copy the saved files from one device to another. The saved files are usually located in

    Android/data/com.rovio.baba/files/save folder.

    Just copy the entire folder from your old device to your new one.

    What I usually do is to install the game in new device, run the game once, exit, copy files over, and restart the game.

    I usually back the files up before installing updates just in case things get screwed up. That way at least you dont have to start from the beginning if something goes wrong.

    One thing I recall about raging and Illusionist mirror effect was that if I use Blues to rage and stun (I was using Blues last in case Red or Matilda didn’t stun Snor), Samurai would not attack twice at the next turn (as I used red to start a turn). It has happened on numerous occasions before I changed up my sequence.

    I was using a combination of Samurai with titan set, Illusionist with any but I guess reset or time jump set would help more, TH with Beep because I dont have the Ballista, and Priestess with nightmare set. Illusionist effect on Priestess would give 4 attacks to stun with slight less damage rather than 2 attacks with other Matilda classea hence going with Priestess. Probably not the fastest group to finish. But from turn 3 or so , you can rage with chuck every other turn.

    @maxxmatt

    Good tip about attacking with Matilda before Red.

    Does anyone know the caps for the feats? I know that the using spells is 10,000.

    500BP for 15 weekly tournament wins is awesome compared to the reward for 50 weekly tournament wins. It currently shows a rare (not a legendary) chest.

    I guess this would be considered partial grinding but assuming you have enough Snoutling and friendship essence, just repeat Cave 26 boss and spin for the chest. It gives 50 GC. Use that to refresh dojo buys. I usually do two rounds a day and end up buying about 100-120 mastery. Currently half way to 100 on the entire flock.

    This is brilliant!!

    I just ran this setup with some of my sets not being enchanted and yet I was still able to breeze through it. Between Red and Matilda stunning the pig, I only had to use the chili once with Blue. The entire battle, the pig stayed stunned and didn’t even fire off a single attack!

    I used mana shell for Chuck since I didn’t have time jump set. Didn’t have to link Priestess with any other bird for additional healing. I have to admit Priestess was my least favorite and never utilized until now.

    For android devices you can just backup your save files which can be found in the following directory:

    Android/data/com.rovio.baba/files/save

    I just zip the save folder every so often. To restore install the game first and go through the tutorial. Exit the game and then copy the saved files to the same directory and you should be good to go from your last backed point.

    I was testing with the following setup but somehow got to beat alphapig and scored 89000 for three stars as well.

    L100/M91 Pumpkin Paladin with Dragonbreath E8/8 L92/92

    L100/M91 Elite Rainbird with Mana Shell E0/7 L92/92

    L100/E91 Elite Priestess with Perfect Balance E5/0 L82/92

    L100/E91 Valentine Cannoneer with Sugar Rush E0/0 L92/82

    I tried to keep priestess negative effect on alphapig to allow the other birds to heal and negate the damage from their attacks. Additional healing from Paladin or Bomb’s Sugar Rush.

    Mana Shell avoided having to use Rainbird to dispel negative effects giving Chuck an additional attack.

    Perfect Balance increased rage chili buildup in time to coincide with alphapig summoning help.

    Could have gone a little faster had I enchanted my weapons to higher level but again I wasn’t expecting to beat it so didn’t invest in the shards.

    I did try the suggestions you’ve made and ran the following setup.

    Marksmen with coin flop

    Samurai with Dragonbreath (don’t have muratame set)

    Cannoneer with Punisher

    Coin flop is helpful considering I lose roughly 80% of my coin toss (hence my usage of Chuck with Last Will). The 20% I do win, half of that the opponent is equipped with Coin Flop, go figure.

    What I have noticed is most of the time Punisher’s effect triggers and can deal 60k+ damage. But for some reason it just doesn’t feel like a lot of damage has been done. It’s probably because with Blue using Beep, there are splash damage to opponent’s birds.

    As for Vengeance once I have the complete set I’ll give that a try.

    @bchild

    I’ve done this enough to count on one hand…

    My team consisted of

    Samurai with Dragonbreath

    Tbird with Last Will

    Marksmen with Beep

    Time jump emblem and Valiant set.

    This is not by any means a team built to finish with one turn (gear can be optimized to increase the likelihood) but have done so during normal play.

    Marksmen attack on opponent banner followed by Tbird rage attack and then Samurai. With time jump each bird getting another round of attacks. All attacks are on the opponent’s banner and if I’ve done my math properly, I think I can deal about 64000+ damage.

    Guilty of using Time Jump here. I tend to see more opponents with Thorn Wall. I have streaks of four or five opponents in a row almost daily using Thorn Wall. Annoying to say the least.

    Prior to TJ I was using resurrect and used to see way too many opponents with TJ. Wonder if it has any to do with what emblem you have equipped…

    bchild
    @bchild

    I noticed the same with Cosmic Samurai. Passive every attack heals 15% of damage. After that, all my Red classes start to heal themselves.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>You have to earn the headgear usually through events. Once earned, the ribbon to it will turn blue and you should be able to equip it.

    bchild
    @bchild

    Not sure if anyone else noticed but in the Legendary League although the win streak goes to 10, looks as though the feat for arena win streak goes up by one once you win the 7th level.

    @bchild

    @coachmp

    That’s the thing. It doesn’t work as advertised for me but works fine for my opponents all the time. At least if it’s broken, make it fair and not work properly for everyone.

    On the upside, using it with resurrect emblem does make it somewhat interesting since the opponent goes for Chuck first, I can sometimes start my turn with all three birds alive.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>I’ve noticed something while grinding cave 17-5. If you quit during the middle of the wave and restart the same cave, the pigs appear in the same order as the previous run.

    So if you get a run where all five waves show pigs that always drop mastery ribbon and kill one of the two in the last wave, you will average 153 mastery points each run (16 × 9 + 9).

    Compared to when you run through the entire 5 waves, I was averaging about 125 mastery points. Difference of almost 30 points per run.

    When a wealthy pig appears then the sequence of pigs appearing in the rest of the wave after the wealthy pig changes. Quitting before the last pig in the last wave and restarting will return to the same 153 point sequence of pigs.

    Only downside is this would require more player involvement and harder to attempt with autoplay…

    @poptimus

    I too fall into the old school category where all the pigs on the island are lower than lvl 16.

    So on the last level cap to lvl 80, I did do some testing in lines with what you’ve done recently and can confirm that the mastery drops line up with what you’ve reported here. Although I do recall that on the last lvl increase, the mastery medallion values changed slightly in 10 lvl increments (71-80, 61-70, 51-60, and then 36-50). But Rovio could easily have modified this with the new level cap.

    I may have skewed the trend a bit… With 7 classes maxed, 1 family (Chuck) and 1 Bomb class, in 74 dojo visits, I averaged 6.3 offers. Need to confirm the exact numbers since I’m in a business trip and do not have my spreadsheet with me. But it was 6+ average offers. Much better than my average before maxing out one family.

    @bchild

    Doesn’t the Witch deal the same damage as Bard?

    bchild
    @bchild

    With 3 maxed classes, I averaged 5.5 in 84 visits.

    With 7 maxed classes (6 chuck classes and 1 bomb class), I’m averaging 6.52 in 46 visits thus far. The distribution shows two humps, one around 4 and 5 (8 and 10 visits, respectively) and another at 9 (7 visits). 6, 7, and 8 had (4, 5, 4 visits respectively). I did have one visit each with offers of 11, 13, 14 and 15.

    I expect this average will slowly start to drop.

    The beauty of starting the event with your main and second account at the same time is you get placed in the same board. Which isn’t really a problem but there is a point discrepancy.

    Leader board from my main account (Named_Player)

    From my second account (I1)

    Anyone else experienced this before?

    I should be able to start collecting data for 1 maxed out bird family dojo offers by the weekend. Chuck has 2 classes maxed with 2 at 79 (each with about 5 dojo buys left) and two others at 78 and 75. My data may be slightly skewed since I will have one Bomb class maxed.
