I started about March 2015. I loved it when I first started. I could hardly wait until a new node came up and would wake up in the middle of the night to collect coins. Fast forward to now and I’m really wondering why I still do. I have to say my interest is at a all time low and I’ve really started to dread the hour or so that it takes to get through the daily Quests and challenge runs. I’m not at all clear on the rankings since they switched from planet eater to being named a TF character. But, I guess we’re all brothers in arms. I’m still playing, but it is more incidental now instead of a compulsion. I miss a day or a contest, oh well, no big deal.

I do wonder what it must be like to start playing now, especially since there are so many TFs to collect. It must be kind of daunting.

Challenge run is crashing at about the 15 minute mark on a run. It totally sucks. Already takes too long to play and you don’t get any gems back if you recharged your TF.

So I was able to access in the morning, but not in the afternoon. Not sure if it is a bug or it is meant to do that.

So I can access the challenge run in the mornings, but I think it ends at 2100 utc, 1300 pacific standard time. I can’t access it until it resets the next day. Weird.

@lewie4 challenge is busted again. Was working this morning on my iPad and now not accessible. This blows.

I was “missing string” until they did the last fix of the challenge run with the update. Now it says Sideswipe at rank 1231.

@lewie4 the fix in the latest update just created a new problem and now the challenge run is locked and it’s back on the daily list. So those who can’t get into it because of the latest problem can’t finish daily quests again.

Well at least I got promoted from Rank Planet Eater to Rank Missing string! That must be the highest rank. LOL!

So my challenge run worked for precisely one day after The update. Instead of just spinning, it now is just locked and won’t open. And the challenge run is back in the daily quest. FANTASTIC!

Any word on when they might fix the bug on the Challenge runs?  It just keeps spinning and saying “checking scores”. Doesn’t really seem like it was worth it if we cannot get our prizes and we can’t make the daily challenges either because the challenge run isn’t available. I play on an IPad mini tablet.

I want my 2500 gems back. Nothing about this new area is fun. Like others have said, it’s just a long boring rehash of the spark run except you only get to use molasses slow Devastator and spend progressively more gems to revive him during each run. The reward aside from the crates, is you go to a higher level. Not enough incentive to keep playing. Also, damage in the level should count against your daily challenges, like Jenga. It seems to be a test to examine a player’s willingness to spend gems.

mine is only at level 7, but is fully accessorized and I’m getting great results. I like the car trigger for the Strikebot, which I used o think was useless as an energonicon, but is great as an extra weapon especially when you’re dodging monoliths and mortar shots.

Thanks. I just saw that post and now that I’ve used Breakdown a bunch of times, it’s exactly as you described. The Strikebot is part of the normal run with Breakdown. I also find that the WMTs go down in about 2 hits.

Breakdown does not appear to have the Strikebot energonicon option. Probably just an oversight.

When I was away from my home and not using WiFi, I had no trouble getting the video bonuses on LTE. Now that I am home again, the video option only shows up when I deactivate both WiFi and internet on LTE, but of course I can’t run the video for lack of connection. I’m using a iPad mini that is up to date on IOS. Really annoying not being able recharge armor during a competition.

Yeah, there’s no video benefit on anything including regular and competition runs or the silo. I’ve done the restart thing and switched WiFi on and off. Really annoying.

Wow. I had her at L15 buddy on a beach run and she was worthless. I laid back on my shooting to see what she would do. She had very focused firing and was woefully underpowered – multiple shots to take out bricks and wood and no effect on a WMT. I hope she performs better than that as an actual bot.

I have an alternate theory about the overpowering levels besides just greed. This could be naive but, I think it could be the start of the next level for the game. It gives all the maxed out players something to work for and expend their gem stash on. The hope for us players would be that at some point there would be new nodes for the higher level players to access and not just the same bunch of nodes with the same bunch of targets set at a higher damage setting (i.e. spark run).

Just a theory.
