Hi all!

I’m just checking in to say hello. I stopped playing ABT over 7 months ago now, but occasionally lurk on the forums to see what’s going on. Initially, I stopped playing cold turkey, but didn’t delete the game. At the time, I was in the middle of a heated exchange with Rovio support when for the 1st time, after playing from day one, I had two “666’s” — one in pigs and one in gems. A clear sign that (among other things) this game and the urge to play it was controlling me and ruining my life. The game just sat idle on my iPad for months until I checked in here and read up on things like “spark runs”, “JARSU”, “pay-to-play” and the whole “over-power” situation. That gave me the nerve to delete the game, along with AB2, ABF, ABA, etc. You get the picture. Free! But, no hate towards those who continue to play. I do miss the camaraderie and conversation on the forums, but freedom always come with a price. You guys definitely made the game more enjoyable for me and I am grateful for all of the tips and advice. Cheers!

@jimmy-necessary your overall rank is tied directly to your TFs — the higher their rank, the higher yours, so keep upgrading (every Tf = 15) to increase your rank.

Gems are a good thing, just be patient and eventually you’ll land on Mortarnik. I believe the algorithms have been adjusted to require you to respin in order to land on Energonicons.

@sukerman13 thanks for compiling this comprehensive list of all the known issues in the game. The response from Rovio/Exient is absurd and irresponsible. I appreciate/support your efforts and will file my own ticket pointing out the same (even though I have already submitted individual tickets on most all) and will re-post to this thread.

I agree with your observations on the cheating, in fact, I believe the reason we have the game clock delay issue is because people may have figured out how to cause the game to produce additional charges by changing time zones, or some such. Cheating is rampant throughput the AB franchise. Anyone who thinks there’s no cheating need only do a search.

I think what needs to happen is some sort of organized protest…

Oops! My bad @20qmindreader, it was @wrw01 that gets the credit for prompting Rovio/Exient to display 9 digits. I believe the app will allow you to collect billions but needs an upgrade to display.

@cheeto 9 digits equals 100 million and there’s barely enough room for that, so 1 billion (1,000,000,000) would require an update to the game. I believe that @20qmindreader got them to update the game to be able to display 100 million.

@millforce2k this is why I don’t waste gems on accessories — no point. That and the fact that Rovio/Exient cannot be trusted to not randomly decrease the power of individual items in the app. I don’t have any other game where the developers have made so many dramatic and unwanted changes to the gameplay over the life of the app.

The fact that you have the time and patience to record comparison videos and post them is invaluable to this forum. Thanks!

@lewie I noticed a similar issue and submitted a ticket — the app is resetting the missions portals after a hard close. After launching 3 missions, hard closing the app and then reopening, the missions portals will be empty with no missions running and no rewards earned. It doesn’t happen every time, just occasionally.

I can’t speak for all of the algorithms, but definitely the ones that should yield 14 gems do but rarely. Computers have no concept of randomness; algorithms determine the outcome and the outcomes have been coded such that they rarely produce 14 gems. All the more reason the amount should have been left at 35…

@lewie4 thanks for the clarification. So the problem during the TNT challenge where Unicron was not awarding points was a bug.

What do you mean “similar to boss pig”? Unicron should be 2,000 points when killed, but Boss Pig only nets 300-400 (depending on the competition). Based on the amount of effort/firepower/skill it takes to kill Unicron vs. Boss Pig, there’s nothing similar about them. For a period of time during the TnT challenge, Unicron stopped awarding points. That appears to have been fixed.

Are you saying that killing Unicron will award the same points as killing Boss Pig? Please explain…

@optimuspig the algorithms appear to have been adjusted. I’m not sure in which update it occurred but I suspect the change coincided with that stupid (on Rovio/Exient’s part) daily quest, “craft 8 items in Professor Pig’s Lab”, which has since been changed to, “craft 1 item…”

I’ve had 3 successive soft updates and my last run, just now was a Unicron, but I got just under 300 points before bonus. There were lots of gold blocks. However, I have him and his hook now. Good luck to all — I’m out!

I think they did this to the BBG after i posted yesterday on what happened to me and the score I got, as it was only a few hours after i posted they had reduced his scoring power big time and for this I’m very sorry.

I don’t think it was you, but the fact that during the missile challenge, players could make the 550 mark, with one set of 4 charges, including one Unicron run and without using the bonus Tf, which meant no or very few gem recharges. That being said, more than one person pointed that out, either directly or indirectly, myself included and this has been the case in more than just this competition.

As many said above, Unicron already had his moment in the sun and should not have been allowed to extend his 15 minutes of fame. He should be removed altogether — changing his scoring potential was just plain silly.

Of course, if they beta tested…

@rlcoone lol! I wouldn’t call what he’s doing “forum support”, just “forum monitoring”. I do see you point though — you were probably very good at your job under much different circumstances, where the company cared about the application and supporting its users.

We’re like the Who’s in Whoville. Every time we start to have fun, the mean ole grinch (Rovio/Exient) shows up and takes it from us. Yet, we just keep persevering and playing on as if the grinch will finally grow a heart and deliver the game/experience promised. Except that never happens, the game/experience just keeps getting worse. It’s because this isn’t Whovile it’s WHYville.

@rlcoone I believe that @lewie4 interjects when he can add value (clarification) to the conversation. That the Rovio/Exient folks monitor this forum is one of the great things about it. Research would indicate, at least some of the time, we bring up things they had no idea about. But when they can answer, they do, as indicative of this NPC issue that will not die.

Considering all of the vitriolic conversation that occurs on this forum @lewie4 is one of the more responsive and I for one, appreciate his input.

It’s possible in this challenge (missiles) to score over 3,000 points on a Unicron run, assuming you beat him. Just throwing it out there…
