    I’m the same as you but I take enjoyment in PvE battles and replaying the Caves. Most of my sets are maxed out but some of them are 2-3 away from maximum so I keep playing.

    What I wish is that there’d be a weaker version of the GPM that would take snoutlings (kind of like the GG slot on Fight!) You wouldn’t get set items but could get potions or materials in varying amounts (I know you can purchase some potions with snoutlings and materials with LCs but this would be nicer I think).

    Back on topic: I’ve had ridiculously good rolls (once I got 5 set items in a single 15LC turn) and head-scratchingly poor ones on 5xRR (after 75LCs finally got a set piece, had tons of 2- and 3-star non-set items). It truly is the luck of the draw.

    Are you maxing the Witch’s Grow buff? That’ll counter some of Wizpig’s siphon ability. Adding the Frost Shield can also stun him for the next round allowing FS to do 150% damage and if buffed with the Illusionist’s double-strike that could take him down considerably. I have found that it is somewhat of a gear-dependent strategy (LL for Illusionist, Doom for Witch, Rock/Paper for Frost Savage).

    I was using Captain with Rock/Paper set and when I hit the Untouchable bird my Whip-Up disappeared along with his Untouchable buff. The second time I saw this though the Whip-Up stayed intact. I was admittedly playing while tired so maybe I missed something or mis-remembered something.

    This really does seem to be a PvE set…pity since the last two are more PvP sets (Banner Breaker and Sonic) and the upcoming Bomb set (per rumors anyway) is another PvP set (all allies do 100% more damage to a banner less than 50% health).

    This new set appears to mimic…well, Mimic. What I don’t know is if this triggers on attack or if it is a passive thing like Mana set.

    The free Mana staff was indeed at Lvl50 but my other free items have been Lvl52 and I was at Lvl50 when I got the Mana staff.

    If the Bomb Bell works like it’s supposed to, we’re going to see nothing but Valiant sets from here on out (need birds to defend banners and up in two versus three turns is the only counter I can see unless everyone wants to start fielding Pallys and Clerics).

    I’ve noticed this too but since I use Mana set I don’t get a lot of forced attacks.

    @graugeist Plenty of weeks left in the season…in season 5 I missed out on promotion to Platinum because of ultra-competitiveness in my division but I had 4 weeks to go, waited half a day after the week ended and got seated in an average division. Actually, I missed the first 4 weeks of the season so that was more impressive than I first thought!

    @joey, @Benjamin-lousqui. The Achievement log seems to be jammed after the last update because I’ve accomplished two things (VD event, defeat birds with all classes in the Arena) and neither are showing up. I can still play the game though so I don’t know why my situation is different than yours.

    I have now tested that theory and Mana does limit the rebound effect but it doesn’t seem to be as much as 60%, more like 30% (could be observer bias). Dispel does not rebound but does not always remove Untouchable.

    I’d take shards over LCs, can find more use for them (never use LCs except for AGP anymore, not worth it to me over snoutlings at Dojo). 1500 mastery isn’t a bad deal for new players but for established yet not complete players it doesn’t add much, probably won’t push too hard to get #1 in this event (next class to mastery is TH at over 6K away, then FS at 10K away).

    @Napoleongl That would be a nice change of pace for them wouldn’t it? Go from black-hat “ooh my score is 101,901 in one hour, GL chumps!” to white-hat “here’s some cool stuff coming down the pike, head’s up chums”.

    @datguygamer I’ve fought the same guy in season 5 at least 40 times so that’s really nothing new.

    Agreed with the Frost Savage 25% per target, Mana set negates this a bit though.

    Yeah, ending early hurts the late surgers who usually manage to knock me from 1 to 2 or in one horrible case from 2 to 4. I have to admit that this season has been kinder to me, no real gunners in my division (we’re all pretty equal actually, rather active but friendly-like).

    Any ideas why the season shifted by 14 hours (Eastern Standard relative)?

    This change is going to screw up late comers to battles – I’ve known players to wait until the last 12 hours before grinding their way into league advancement. I was probably going to fade from 1 to 3 in the fifth season but with it ending 14h early I stayed #1 with a 2k point lead.

    Probably had the Valiant set – lets you revive in two turns instead of three. Chuck probably also had the Mana set which provides immunity from negative effects 60% of the time.

    Grinding SRC takes about 3.5 minutes real time including spins and load-ups so that’s about 125 snoutlings (rough average) per go and about 16-17 grinds per hour so…carry the 4, divide by 0, multiply by i…that’s a lot of hours lost grinding.

    (For those who want the real math, take 125 x 17 for your rough snoutlings per hour take and then multiply that result by 24 to get your snoutlings per day take to get 51000 per day so it would take just under 20 days to go from zero snoutlings to 1M through grinding).

    Stone Guard + Priestess + either Thunderbird or Skulkers. Stone Guard’s attack is magnified by both the negative effect of the 25%/30% damage plus the 50% bonus for negative effects in general and with the Priestess’ attack effect Stone Guard can heal himself and it’s another negative effect. If the Priestess has the Sweet! set that healing goes up (though damage does not). With Thunderbird you get the universal lightning shield which though weaker than the Mage’s shield does cover all birds; this can synch with Ancestral Protection and weaken the enemy bird or pig and a weaker bird/pig still takes the same amount of damage from the shield regardless of strength or defense (contrast this with Thorn Wall in the Arena where the damage dealt is 15% constantly so weaker birds actually take less damage).

    Matilda + Sweet! set + Priestess class + Fully active Spirit Link + Chili Time equals megaultrasuperhyper (c) health. I’ve done this in Arena matches (before Valiant of course) and went from iotas of health to full power.

    How…how the…how in the world did you end up with 1M in Snoutlings? My maximum ever was about 17K and now I’m at 7.5K. Maybe it’s less a question of “how” and more a question of “why”. If I had a fortune like that I’d max out on potions.

    @graugeist Smart ;) Still Mana only triggers 60% of the time and I’ve gotten pretty lucky with at least one Venom type getting through.

    The update initially cancelled the “Log-in to Facebook for a free Lucky Coin” calendar bonus but I logged out and then logged in again and now it works fine…I think it actually logged me out in the Arena because I was still seeing the “logged into Facebook” on the calendar but when I logged back into the Arena everything worked fine.

    So far no other glitches…well there was one really beneficial one which I got double the LCs I purchased but I think that was before the update.
