@soundwave@exientgreg Just wanted to follow up on this and let you know that my issue has been resolved. I was able to unlock not only the season 2 bots, but also the other Prime Pass rewards.
Many thanks to you and the support team!

@soundwaveI’m sure the new combiner will go in the “Gestalt” squad. Gestalt is another term used for a combiner in the world of Transformers.
Soundwave
@soundwaveI completed all 50 levels before making the purchase. Once you make the purchase, it immediately unlocks the rewards for every level you’ve already completed.
I did the same for season 1 and it worked great.
Soundwave
@soundwaveHa ha, well thank you on both fronts then for investigating my issue :) I will be sure to give you a nudge.
Would I also be able to get the other Prime Pass rewards (accessories, tokens, gold chests, gems, etc.)? Or only the characters?
Soundwave
@soundwaveThanks for the info!

@soundwave@papakarlo. So even the second slot costs gems in the new version? Is it 1000 also?
Soundwave
@soundwaveStill on the old version with three slots unlocked. Any idea if I unlock the fourth slot for 1000 gems before I upgrade if it will unlock the third slot in the new version after I upgrade?
Soundwave
@soundwaveI agree. I don’t play a ton of mobile games, but I have never seen one so overpriced for the play value you get for money spent
Honestly, the prime pass is the best deal I’ve seen in this game in years, and I think it is still overpriced by $10.
New bots in this game should cost about $3.99. $9.99 feels like a high end price. But they’ve historically had offers in the $25 – $100 range for a single bot. That is just out of the realm of reason.
A single bot that offers little additional unique play value to this game should not cost more than a new PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo premium title. I just don’t get it.

@soundwave@moifirst. I should have some data for you on this topic soon.
After debating it for a couple months, I decided to buy the prime pass the last day it was offered. I did’t mind making the purchase, my debate was due to the risk of my offer prices being raised in the future.
My new bot prices have always been 1000 gems. Other than jenga and hot rod purchases made several years ago, this is the first time I’ve spent money (due to the fear mentioned above).
My Optimus Maximus bundle was 1000 gems before the purchase and still is.
If my next new bot offer is increased, I will report it and that can be a warning for others to steer clear of future prime passes.
I decided to buy the pass because:
1. I wanted to keep a full roster of bots
2. I have rarely been buying the bot bundles anyway (out of fear of the price being raised if I use it too often)
3. The new gem scarcity makes me even less likely to buy the new bot bundles.
4. I am ready and willing to leave the game if need be. I absolutely hate the practice of price gouging based on people’s purchase history. If they do this to me based on my prime pass purchase, I will consider it $19.99 well spent to buy my freedom from this game, and future purchases lost for rovio/exient that I would gladly have made if not for this ridiculous pricing practice. What a slap in the face to the people who are willing to support the game financially.
Long story short, I’ll report back with my results when I know them.

@soundwaveSame here. Leader board tokens from yesterday also not added.

@soundwaveCan anyone tell me if the latest iOS update fills up your silo with crystals? I’m wondering if I should spend all I have before I do the update.
Soundwave
@soundwave@abtonandroidguy $24.99 is the highest price I’ve seen for the prime pass bundle. Are you in the US?
Soundwave
@soundwaveHas the new update changed the challenge run at all? I’ve heard so much negative about it that I haven’t unlocked the challenge run yet. Just curious if the 2.x update has improved the value/experience.
Soundwave
@soundwaveThank you for your response and your straight forward answer. That’s good to know about the fixed price for the prime pass (though now I wonder why some people in the US are $17.99 vs $19.99).
While I don’t agree with changing the gem bundle amounts either, I appreciate the information. Having information I don’t like is better than having no information to base decisions on.

@soundwave<p style=”text-align: left;”>@exientgreg. Thank you for the confirmation about the rewards.

I am considering buying the prime pass but haven’t decided. I don’t mind buying something occasionally in the game. But if my “reward” for supporting the app monetarily is to target me and raise my prices going forward, I’m immediately done.<span style=”text-align: right;”>I strongly believe that you should set your prices based on overall market demand, not person by person based on how much an individual has shown a willingness to spend in the past.
A gallon of milk costs the same amount for all customers at a grocery store. I don’t see why micro transactions in a mobile app should be different.

@soundwaveFor you $17.99 people, how much are your new bot offers (in gems)? I wonder if there is a relationship.
I’ve always gotten 1000 gem offers. My prime pass is $19.99.
Soundwave
@soundwaveIf we play on the war pass for a while and complete a number of levels, and then upgrade to the prime pass, do we still get the previous levels’ prime pass rewards? Or do we miss those rewards? Or do we start back at level 1?
Anyone else know?
Soundwave
@soundwaveI’m curious if the prime pass is priced the same for everyone (within the same region). Mine is $19.99 US. Any US players get an offer for more or less? Anyone outside the US feel free to share as well.
I would love to figure out if they are still setting prices on a player by player basis. That is far and away my #1 complaint about this game.
Soundwave
@soundwaveI just got the dreaded “You must update this app to continue” message. Yay. So I guess that’s the end of that.
Soundwave
@soundwave@moifirst thank you for the great info!
I was afraid you could only play like one level a day. But it looks like you can knock out multiple levels per day if you kill enough pigs.
I want the new bots but I’ll most likely pass until I learn more on how buying a pass will impact future prices within the app.
Soundwave
@soundwaveI haven’t updated yet. Is this pay to play only? Does the 50 day challenge start at the same time for everyone, or when the pass is purchased? Is this paid pass the only way to get the new prime and Megatron?
Honestly, I don’t mind to pay money for this game. But I will never pay for this game unless they change their pricing model. Their model seems to be charging people different amounts based on purchase history. My fear is buying a pass for $20 will lead to my next pass being priced at $40, and the next at $100. That’s a horrible way to encourage people to spend money.
In the past, I bought a very expensive bot for my son when he played. I think it was dead end for something insane like $50. He was too young to play the challenges, but really wanted that character. So I caved for his birthday.
After making that purchase, the price of his Jenga game increased from $5 to $50. That was a huge red flag and the last dime I ever spent. Not sure if they still do this but it’s concerning.

@soundwaveThanks for the info. Looking back through this thread I saw someone mention not being able to use certain Energon icons until level 20. I wasn’t sure what the relationship between Energon icons and storage was.
Soundwave
@soundwaveCan someone clarify these questions for me?
1. Is storage level still relevant? Should I try to upgrade my storage as much as possible before I update the game?
2. What happened to overpower levels? I hear people saying they are gone. Is it just the percentage bonus that has been taken away? Or has their level been reduced back to 15? Or something else?
Soundwave
@soundwaveI think that’s a quote from Warpath.
