    Hello everyone, if you are experiencing this unfortunate ”updating progress” issue, you can follow these steps to get your game working again:

    Before you open the game, please sign out of your Facebook and Game Center via the iOS settings, after this you can start the game. When the notorious ”Update progress” pop-up appears, go into airplane mode and collect some coins in order to create yourself a new local save file. After this you should close the game completely, turn your wifi back on and exit from the airplane mode and open the game again. Your problem should be fixed after this.

    Hello there,

    Hello there,

    and thank you for bringing this to our attention! It seems that there has been some confusion regarding your request and apparently the idea was that you were talking about the whole gem package instead of the bonus gems that were offered during the promotion period. There is no reason to deny you your request for the extra gems that you didn’t receive, so @vannie please get back to Rovio Support Team and inform them about the amount of gems that you are still missing and you’ll get your gems redeemed.

    Thank you everyone for the valuable information! It really has helped us to get to the bottom of this issue. But I didn’t come here just to thank you, since I have good news related to this issue:

    the reason for this crashing problem relates to the situation when the game is updated while there’s a character upgrade or a portal mission going on. This makes the game to load assets for completed characters or missions, but if the character/mission status is still ongoing, there are no files to be loaded, which leads to the game crashing.

    So, anyone who has not updated the game yet, we recommend you to wait patiently until your Character upgrade and portal missions are finished, after that you should be able to update your game without any problems!

    If you have already updated the game and you’re encountering this crashing issue, you can re-install your game IF you have connected your game to Facebook and/or Game Center. If you’ve done so, you can play through the tutorial until you unlock Bumblebee and retrieve back your progress either via Facebook or your Game Center account. Please note, that if you are not sure if your game is saved to our cloud servers, we recommend you to stretch your patience a little bit thinner – we are looking for a fix that does not require re-installation.

    Hello there!

    As some of you have already noticed, the newest iOS update has caused some unfortunate side-effects and we are currently investigating a probable cause for it. Some of you have already been proactive regarding this issue and we thank you for it! But in order to really get to the bottom of this nagging crashing issue, we would like to get as much information as possible. For starters, knowing

    a) which OS version is affected
    b) which geographical region (city and/or country) is affected
    c) what level of rank you’ve mastered in the game
    d) if your iOS device might be rooted or jailbroken,

    would help us a LOT in order to solve this unfortunate incident as soon as possible. Anyone who’s willing to help can either reply to this comment or send us an email through Rovio’s support site https://support.rovio.com/

    My apologies for any inconvenience this issue has caused, but we’re all working hard to ensure that this is just a minor annoyance before you get to enjoy the new awesome features in the game!

    Thank you for letting us know about this issue! Just to clarify, it was definitely not our intention to cut down your gem chests and we’re currently investigating probable causes for this mishap. It would help us a lot, if those who were affected by this drought of gems would let us know what device they are using to play the game, what is the current version of your OS and if you’re game is older version than the current 1.5.18 or 1.5.19.     I would go with ‘Sherlocktimus Prime’, but that’s none of my business. But thank you again for pointing that out! I have informed the developers about the possible mix-up in the icons with Energon Optimus Prime, I’m still waiting for their response about it. I just wanted to let you guys know that we’re looking into it, once again that was something that we probably wouldn’t had noticed ourselves, so thank you!

    Thanks @optimuspig for letting us know about this!
    Is there any possibility that you have played the game with two different devices, while using one progress level? This is the only possibility that comes in to mind, since this would explain why your game would try to load your progress in the middle of the game (transferring your older progress from your another device via Game Center or Facebook). This is just speculation at the moment, since we’ve never encountered this before. Sorry that I can’t be more of an assistance regarding this matter, however I will let you know if we find out something more about this issue!

    @hxadecmel thanks for the detailed description about the issue, this and a video from one unnamed player about the apocalyptic shoot-out was enough to convince us that ”damn, yeah, it shouldn’t go like this”. I can’t go too much into detail what we are doing in our super secret laboratories, but I can tell you that I have informed the guys with more developing skills about the possibility that along with their heavy damage-making ability, the flying pigs might be made out of adamantium (oops).

    Jokes aside, we know that there’s an issue with the flying pigs and we are currently looking into it and I’m very hopeful that it’ll be fixed in the future updates. Once again, I’m not in liberty to say that this is for certain, I hope you understand.

    I appreciate your opinion! In a vacuum, paying 15 euros to upgrade your character one level seems a bit over the top, but I can’t go into that too much since I’m not the one who was responsible for developing the game or who decided that this would be the amount of gems needed to upgrade your character. However, it is so valuable to us to hear what the things are that really irk our players BEFORE they contemplate whether to quit the game or not, rather than wondering afterwards what went wrong. Hearing you guys out really makes our job a lot easier, so we can take these things into consideration. Hearing out your recommendations helps us to configure the game in a way that doesn’t burn out people’s passion for the game because of something that could be easily fixed.

    I can’t promise you that the way of upgrading your characters will change, but I can assure you that your recommendations will be heard and they will be forwarded to our developers and other people who are responsible for the game. After all, this game is made for you, so it’s just natural that we love to hear your opinion about it, so thank you for being so active inside this community, it really means a lot to us.

    Thank you everyone! Developers have been notified about this issue and they’re looking for a fix while I’m writing this comment. Some of these problems relate to the fact that the overall levels of the Transformers have been raised from 10 to 15 and it seems that the overall difficulty level has risen proportionally too much compared to that. Nobody likes to get the classic Swiss Cheese treatment, so I assure you that we’re on it.

    you make very good points, the reason why we are collecting such information is to find out whether this issue with the difficulty levels concerns

    1) only android or iOS users (apparently it’s both)
    2) is the problem concentrated on a specific region (it’s not)
    3) what version is affected by this glitch

    Getting any kinds of data regarding these questions help us to exclude different possibilities for the cause of the problem and possibly pinpoint whether the problem is regional, OS- or version-specific.

    I’m not a developer, neither can I say that I’m an expert in developing games of any sorts, I’m just a lowly customer support representative, but I can assure you that giving the flying pigs Rambo-esque abilities to make you feel miserable was not our intention. I’m in a constant two-way communication with the developers in order to fix this Rambo glitch so everyone can get back to playing the game and enjoy it as they used to.

    Hello guys,

    Just wanted to let you know that your concerns are heard and thus not ignored! This issue with almost impossible difficulty levels should have been fixed a while back (obviously it didn’t work for all), but in order for us to fix it literally for everyone, could you provide us information about it:

    What device are you using while playing the game?
    What is the location of your residence? (country or a region is close enough)
    If you have an older version than the 1.5.15 or 1.5.18, what is the version that you’re using?
