Missions: Issue with using Energon Optimus Prime

I always get two stars when I use Energon Optimus Prime on a mission, even though I’m careful to match up his symbol (Lightbulb) to the symbol for that mission.

For example, I just finished the 12h mission “Analyse Data” from Easy mission portal. Analyse Data is a Lightbulb mission. I used Energon Optimus Prime and Jazz as my TFs. Both of them are Lightbulb types, but Energon Optimus only received two stars, while Jazz got three.

Any one else noticing this?

I’m wondering if the game actually thinks Energon Optimus Prime has one of the other symbols (Bomb or Magnifying Lens) even though it shows a Lightbulb symbol beside his picture on the selection screen.

Same thing happening with me also so I have stopped using him!!

Most of the other Energon variants have the bomb symbol, with the exception of starscream. You might want to try using him in a “destruction” mission and see what happens.

I’ll probably give that a try at some point, but I haven’t had a suitable mission come up in my last couple of cycles to test this out.

Don’t want to experiment on a hard mission for example when a super rareium might be on the line.

I can officially confirm that Energon Optimus is a Destroyer and not a Thinker.

BTW, are “Destroyer” and “Thinker” the official names for the “Bomb” and “Lightbulb” types?

@optimuspig Nope, those are just my nicknames for the symbols, based on the comments under the performance stars. Bomb symbol characters have destruction related praises, thus destroyer. Lightbulb characters have intelligence related comments, thus thinker. The magnifying glass characters have stealth related comments, but I haven’t come up with a nickname for those yet.

Well I figured as much name-wise, just didn’t know if they were yours or Rovio’s.

How about “Skulker” for the magnifying lens type?

I would go with ‘Sherlocktimus Prime’, but that’s none of my business. But thank you again for pointing that out! I have informed the developers about the possible mix-up in the icons with Energon Optimus Prime, I’m still waiting for their response about it. I just wanted to let you guys know that we’re looking into it, once again that was something that we probably wouldn’t had noticed ourselves, so thank you!

Anyone know if this bug was ever fixed?

To recap: for missions Energon Optimus Prime is shown as a “Bulb” type (same as for his brothers regular Optimus Prime and Ultimate Optimus Prime) but was actually tallying mission progress as a “Bomb” type.

It has been fixed now Energon Optimus Prime shown with a Bulb sign acts the same as other 2 Optimus Prime so now he is no more Destroyer!!

As I mentioned he was always a Thinker but previously he was acting more like a Destroyer but with the recent updatehe is what other Primes are Thinker!!
