@divelucaya@bloopalooza If your finger goes beyond the touchscreen active area the birds will release. On my tablet the glass goes from edge to edge but the active touchscreen ends about a 1/2 inch from the edge. If I move my finger too far down the bird releases. Same thing happens on AB Friends.

@divelucaya@banzaiii You are so wrong regarding your statement that maybe you should just give up. I win almost every arena battle with 4* birds that have been evolved to Prestige levels. Many of the 5* birds are overrated and costs a fortune to evolve to Prestige (think 40+ thousand in gold just for Prestige levels). I have Dr. Probotnik, Bomb, and the new Eddie and in evolved states over 60 their super shots all suck. I have no 5* blue but who cares because blue birds only matter in the blue dungeon. I have one 5* yellow that only gets used for Major Pecker on yellow days. Right now I am leveling up another 4* Carson, 4* Jimmy and 4* Jacquie. Jimmy will have a super shot of 1 and will replace my 4* Bette. The only 5* that seem to be worth the time and cost to evolve are Chuck, Annie or Matilda, Claude (only if used as leader), and Dutch.

@divelucaya@al2017 When you click “Let’s go” you are taken to a battle ground, but that is not the only one you can get the items you need, such as bacon heads. Other scout battlegrounds can provide items also. I very rarely fought in the same place as I was directed to.

@divelucaya@hyhlo @sedaps I had this happen after the previous event finished. Nothing to be done except report it to Rovio through the game interface (you may have to repeatedly and rapidly click the upper left icon before the screen locks up to open the profile window and then click on help/support) and wait a day. All will be better after the daily reset at 8am US Eastern time. You’ll end up losing a day of play however. I had over a dozen red birds in inventory and messages that I was waiting to use for level up on red day. However, that was the day I had the issue so I lost out on all that extra XP.
I did get, however, 300 gems compensation for the inconvenience, so make sure you report it.

@divelucaya@narc I don’t believe I ever really noticed a coin or material count in the arena matches. Probably because most times I am trying hard to restrain myself from smashing my tablet.

@divelucaya@michele-mitchell I wish I had known this too. I was wondering why hard and insane levels were so unreachable. I had no idea they were tied to the adventures. If you think you were in a hole, my team is at 13K and the adventure is currently at 23K. Amazing thing is that I never have paid to continue the adventure. If you just keep playing you will eventually get a lucky set up. I can see now that I have really been losing out on extra rewards by being stuck at the normal levels. Never before have I seen a game released that has so many unknowns that are just not spelled out anywhere. Shame on Rovio.

@divelucaya@rob-gibson If that just started within the last 3 hours, there is a “Black event” glitch that many are complaining about. I can’t even get to the point of playing anything because immediately after the game starts, a window pops up showing the Black bird event as just beginning, even though it is over. I cannot do crap and I have 10-15 red birds to merge that I held onto because today is double XP for red birds. Right now I am livid.

@divelucaya@davidbroida Just keep trying and don’t let it get to you. I have ones that take me over a week to beat. Right now I am power level 9450 and the boss is 18450. Also, try different birds, especially swapping in ones with lower shot counts. If during battle you see a certain color token drop, for example the yellow triangles, then you may want to try having at least one yellow bird on your team your next try. I have swapped out my higher level white bird with shot count of 4 with a lower level red with shot count of 2. Sometimes that earlier super shot will help whittle away the pig’s strength quicker.

@divelucaya@slyjakes Pig team power is commensurate on bird team power, which is why as you progress your bird levels and team power increases you will see pig power increase too. When you select a friend and their bird’s strength is added to your team’s power, pig strength also increases but, due to yet another glitch, does not show unless you change difficulty level or you select to edit team and then return. If you do neither and it appears you are battling with an advantage of several thousand power it is not true. Pig power level has increased but just doesn’t show correctly.

@divelucaya@e5c4p3artist I was hoping to find a reply to your question here. I wonder the same thing. I see when a pig is bouncing around a “hit count” for every wall it hits and have no idea what this is for and how it benefits me. I am not even sure if this is a combo, or if a combo is when you bounce around killing more than one pig with your shot. If there is a “meter” where is it and why can’t we see it?
Divelucaya
@divelucaya@e5c4p3artist 1) I have had that happen a lot. I think it may be another of Rovio’s ways to tempt people to spend money. 2) Sometimes there is a fine line between the KO and no-KO point on the pig. I have had times in which, as the targeting star moves past a pig, KO will briefly appear but trying to fine tune a shot to get the KO to remain is elusive. Also, as with other Rovio games, as you release your finger off the screen or mouse pad, if it moves just slightly your shot will be off.

@divelucayaIt is absolutely asinine that head to head (or PvP) battles of any kind would not employ a better method of matchmaking. I thought Boom Beach was bad for this but these arena matches are ridiculous. Very unfortunate when this is the only way, except for the occasional chest drop, to get dungeon keys.

Divelucaya
@divelucayaSo now I have a glitch where birds are not targeting and flying right off the screen.

Divelucaya
@divelucaya@kali Don’t feel bad. Today I had one where I lost 51 trophies. Once in a great while I will win 34, but seems it doesn’t matter because I always hit a wall and after that lose almost every match. Yesterday I was 2nd with a high score of 3328 and now sit almost 300 points less and have fallen to 3rd place, soon to be 4th.

@divelucayaI reported the message notification glitch about a week ago. The next day it was gone but the day after that it was back again. It has since seemed to occur every other day.

@divelucayaSome bird super shot descriptions mention increased or double combo hits. I know that in battles a bird bouncing all over the place shows a hit count, so I am assuming this is the combo hits. But I’d like to know for sure what combo hits are and what they are good for? What does a combo hit if 15 get me when compared to a combo hit of 4.
It is very unfortunate that a large gaming company such as Rovio can release a new game without any details of every aspect of the game. I have found nothing on combo hits, very little about totems, nothing about the smudge pots with hearts in them seen in battles, nothing about the floating things during battles (I assume the heart, sword, and running man increase health, defense, and attack speed but by what values?). It is difficult to play a game when one has to guess their way through most of it.
Divelucaya
@divelucayaToday when I opened the game I saw I had 1 message. When I opened the message box it said there were no messages. Since then, I have learned that friends sent me daily gifts, but I have received none. I usually also get gifts from friends beating pyramid battles but have received none. If I have new birds that do not fit into inventory the message indicator is still off, For example, if 4 new birds do not make it into inventory, the message indicator shows 5. After getting the birds into inventory the indicator is back to 1. I have restarted my device and still no luck clearing it. This sucks because I am losing out on heart gems.

@divelucayaDoes anyone know how many are needed for the 4 star birds and for the 5 star birds (assuming the latter needs more)? It is hard enough to keep building up the other evolution tokens (I need almost 1000 blue) and if the essence needed is in the hundreds then I can plan on not making it past level 50 (and wouldn’t you know I have 3 golden birds which can’t be used until level 99).

@divelucaya@carl-winkler It is not a matter of “thinking” someone is a cheater. People DO cheat on the tournaments and Rovio is aware of it. Browser plug-ins allowed endless use of power-ups. Back when only 2 (or 3?) power ups could be used, there was a player that posted a video at this site showing him achieving a top score and it showed the use of all power-ups. When his top score and video were challenged, he apologized, stating he did not realize he was using his “practice account” that used one of the browser plug-ins. Tournaments used to end every Monday at 7 am Finland time and the cheaters would play the tournament within 24 hours prior to the end time. Because of the weekend any suspected cheaters reported by players were often not investigated by Rovio in time because no one was working. Thousands of other players, including myself, suggested varying end times/days. This is part of the reason why the tournaments now do not run a whole week. Rovio also worked on a program that would use a scoring matrix to detect cheaters, who were then ejected from the tournament. Unfortunately, many return as guests until they can create a new account. It used to be a more common thing to see players with names like Guest 12345 in first place with scores that are statistically improbable when compared to other players near the top. If, when close to the end of a tournament, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc., players have scores that are all close and 1st place is several thousand above them, cheating may be the reason. I have in the past reported many suspected cheaters and most have been confirmed (unfortunately some too late for Rovio to boot before they won) and some have been deemed legitimate.
I stopped playing ABF for many months because of the cheating. Now that I have resumed, I no longer care about cheaters. I have dropped from D8 down to D2 and have worked back up to D5. I do not check top scores near a tourney’s end because it used to be too frustrating to see 1st place having an unbelievable score. But Rovio must be doing a much better job weeding out cheaters because typically all top scores now seem to be statistically close.

@divelucaya@rowdypup Wow, you are amazing. How did you ever remember there were other mooncakes? Yes, the ones from Moon Festival did the trick. It took me a while though to find that episode. I looked through Pig Days and clicked on anything looking like it was related to the moon or a festival. I then went to the walkthroughs here and started on page 1. By page 5 and still no Moon Festival I was doubting there was such an episode. Finally, there it was on the last page of walkthroughs. I wish I had known earlier about being able to find and collect items on other episodes than the one shown because I had one shortly after re-starting to play Seasons again that was similar, a collectible to unlock a level that once gone does not reappear. I ended up dismissing (X) that bird wear item.
Thanks again for your help and phenomenal memory.

@divelucayaI just used the special transporting purple bird. Shot it towards some objects and then redirected it to an icicle. The icicle you want is one of the big ones. On the level I was directed to, the only way to collect the icicle by normal means would have been to have the big one drop on the ground and then have one of the others drop on it (since the icicles seem to be able to pierce almost anything). This was not the only item that was difficult to impossible to get and for each one I ended up using the purple bird.

@divelucayaI stopped playing for quite a while and have resumed playing but, like you, will not (or should I say no longer) buy coins. I still see outrageous 1st place scores that are statistically unrealistic compared to others. As a result of my “normal” play I have been rapidly sliding backwards in the golden league going from 8 star to 6 star. Maybe I will update when I slip from gold down to silver league.

@divelucayaFor this week’s (189) tournament within 2 hours after the start there was a player with over 1.3M points and 34K more than 2nd place. I immediately took a screenshot and sent it to Rovio. As a couple days went by 2 people were above 1.3M but scores seemed to be closer together so I thought I had jumped the gun making a report. Today I received an e-mail from Rovio stating a request was made to check out my league, and lo and behold. I moved up several spots and high score is 1.297M
I very much encourage anyone who thinks their league has a cheater, or several, to just take a screenshot of the scoreboard showing the high players and make a report to Rovio. Every e-mail response I have received from them seems to be appreciative in trying to weed out these pitiful players. Eventually, with all the reports they receive, Rovio will be able to develop a method of automatically deleting the cheaters.

@divelucaya@welshwitch55, My understanding is that there are add-ons to browsers like Firefox which allow the player to use unlimited PUs in one game. I don’t know much about it and haven’t researched it for fear of temptation. Haha. With regard to Diamond Star 1, for some reason that was a tough one for me also to get beyond. Now that the players are grouped by star level I find it very difficult to get into the top three, let alone the top 10. I have been stagnated on Star 7 now for a while.

@divelucayaAccording to e-mails I have received from Rovio after reporting cheaters and making complaints about the last minute cheaters:
1) Rovio uses an algorithm they recently developed to remove cheaters. “Once a League week changes we collect stats for level scores for 2-24 hours and then set score limits to remove cheaters. Those limits are then followed and readjusted during the week to get the best results.”
2) The tournament ends, Rovio time, Monday morning shortly after work starts. If no Rovio staff work the weekend the last minute cheaters are not caught. “However, as working is optional for us over the weekend, the cheaters often appear on Saturdays and Sundays if they know that there is no one to remove them. This is why we continue to work on the ban tool so that we wouldn’t need to remove the cheaters manually in the first place.”
3) I suggested they end the tournaments at a later time on Monday or some other day and they indicated that they are considering this. “With regards to your feedback, we are actually considering moving the Tournament rollover time a bit so that we would be able to better detect the cheaters during the last minutes of the tournament, too.”Although there may be a legal issue for deleting cheaters that have actually purchased PUs as it would be a loss of money on their part, cheater or not. But I don’t understand why Rovio doesn’t put in their policy that identified cheaters will be dropped to a lower league. Let’s see a diamond star 15 cheater climb their way back from the wood league.
