Recently I had an ad where it was 60 seconds of video and 15 seconds of playable ad. The prizes on the AB2 pig wheel are a hit or miss in my opinion. Sometimes the golden prize is worse than the other items (ex: 40 gems in gold vs 1,000 black pearls in grey).

Usually, there’s an update to the story mode every couple of months or so. I would hope Rovio can expand the number of levels soon.

That would be a good idea. We saw this last year from the leaked Angry Birds Island, so it would be cool to see something like that or a way to use our Birdsona in-game.

Same here. If Halfbrick+ is anything to go after, Rovio should either make a service for their older games (Angry Birds and non-Angry Birds) and charge a small monthly fee if what they say about losing money from those games is true or re-list their older games, release a large patch update for newer devices, and make money through IAP’s and optional/forced advertisements. It’s really a shame that we have been without these games for the past 5 years now.

I’m sorry to hear about your current health complications and what has happened to you in AB Friends. Very recently Rovio has been having major bugs/glitches with AB2 and AB Friends for some reason. I do appreciate how AB Friends is still being supported since it still reminds me of what the series used to be like and is one of the only original games that isn’t delisted from the app stores. I’m one of those people who watch the ads for extra spins and chests, so I haven’t had the need to give my money to any game publisher (unless i’m buying a paid version, which is rare nowadays).

It’s a shame that the mobile game industry has come to this point. In the late 2000s it was about challenges and playing with friends, now it’s about who can spend the most money on upgrades, power-ups, and cosmetics. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the industry or Rovio is going to change for the better anytime soon…

Can agree. I’m surprised there isn’t a separate board for Angry Birds Mods/Modding. Unfortunately, this website isn’t as up-to-date as it used to be, but hopefully that can change once a big project is teased, like a third movie or a collab with a Sega property.

The image isn’t loading for me, but it’s true that modern mobile gaming companies (like Rovio) are getting more aggressive when it comes to advertising and IAP’s. Every time I play AB2, AB Friends, and even Duolingo I see a Royal Match ad.

Was your progress also connected with a Facebook account by chance? I use iOS which only has Apple and Facebook options, so i’m not very familiar with the account connection types for Android players.

Thank you @bernersenn and @birdleader for reading and responding to my post! I’m glad I made you both aware of the issue and surprisingly YouTube account takeovers (that were much worse than what happened to ABNest) occur very frequently on the platform. I would suggest that all Google accounts that have access to the ABNest channel should enable 2 Factor Authentication and the ABNest channel’s account password should be changed so hopefully that can prevent this situation from happening again.

AngryBirdsNest is for all old and new Angry Birds games, including Angry Birds Friends. I have had issues with my profile photo in Friends a few times last year, but that was because there was an issue where users who used their Facebook profile to make their Friends account couldn’t log in properly due to the Facebook API going down for a week on that specific application.

Maybe try logging off of your Facebook account on Angry Birds Friends and logging back on? If that doesn’t work, then try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again.

Yeah, they did the same thing with Evolution during the same time. I filled out both surveys around a week ago and the Epic one redirected me to the Android AB2 page and the Evolution one redirected me to Evolution when I completed them. I hope they do make Epic public again since it uses Unity, so it shouldn’t be impossible to port it to a new version.

I’m happy this site has made the announcement of the new installment! Sadly the game’s 1.0 release had a lot of bugs included, including texture swaps, broken item physics and mighty Eagle glitches. Rovio did however release a 1.1 patch a few days later, but it only fixed the texture swaps. Yeah, the game’s not really my type as well. It’s sad to see this site not be as active as it used to be, but hopefully, with the resurgence of the re-released games this year that will most likely change.
