I played one round when it came available and I guess there were not many players then because it was quite easy to achieve level where you did not lose stars without using powerups. Next one was harder because people are using powerups more and to win you also must use powerups. And it takes quite much time to achieve level where you don’t stars, hours. I guess I will not play any more star cup after this one.

Supposedly you have device which does not satisfy requirements for a game. I for example have device with 1GB RAM and 4 core CPU and it is not that its not sufficient for game but it is not sufficient for displaying advertisements. My game crashes quite often when game starts displaying AD, during the AD or after ending it. And they started randomly displaying ADs between stages. They need money after all. I gave up Star Cup because of this (no AD money at all from me now) and score weirdness. I can cope when game crashes during normal play because I just lose current score and can play again but in Star Cup I lose entire 2 stage game, stars I have won and I can’t play again. SC is just worthless appendix for a game now.

Same here. Just lost in same way. I got little over million, other zero. And after ending stage he won. And there are other similar cases like you presented.

And I am done with Star Cup at last. Aside from ridiculous scores (I lost stage where I got score little over 1 000 000 and other got 0 (zero) and he still won after stage ended. Not first this kind of occurrence) the game crashes sometimes when playing advertisements and they started displaying advertisements between gameplay. I have lost some 10…20 Star Cup stages in these 2 weeks and there is absolutely no point playing any more.

I am also baffled by the result update brought with latest update. I have flock power 52 and 6.2 damage multiplier and when I sometimes lost before but mostly won and got to stay among the 5% then now it is more that I mostly lose and sometimes rarely win. One example which is not unusual.

1st stage I got all quite clear an still score was me 1 295 605, opponent 1 930 206 . I did not see any material worth of 634 601 points on stage and this score was without bonus birds.
2nd stage I got also quite clear and my score was 1 671 867, opponent 807 250, difference 864 317 for me but after ending the stage he got added 1 804 679 and won with total stage score 2 611 929
3rd stage, first shot and it was already my score 308 472 vs his 1 112 946. Stage ended and again  it was quite cleared for me but still he won. Me 1 251 482, opponent 1 459 076 and I did not see that there was again leftover material on stage possibly worth of 207 594 for me.

And these kind of examples are sometimes even when opponent has rank 51. I don’t even see the possibility to get some of these scores even when I use all birds, wingman and powerups and stage is totally clear. Kind of absurd.

I think it doesn’t end. Made it to 500 stars and got promoted to Legend status and now I can stare a leaderboard where there are people with 500+ stars.

@sager, birds on Star Cup have score multipliers and I guess there is chance that you are put against players who have greater score multiplier than you have. Or they use powerups in addition. I lurk also on diamond league level 4 and find it quite easy to stay there if I use powerups sometimes. And sometimes I am beaten even on level 2 on Star Cup.

Someone just beat me, wiped floor with me all three levels and every score was  about 100 000 more than me. Even when I got quite decent play and there wasn’t much pieces left. So it is quite unfair sometimes.

Still playing and its quite clear that I am sometimes put against players who have clearly better score multiplier than me. And sometimes otherwise. I have beaten some player with way big score difference. I don’t want to think that there are players who are able to get so low scores.

Playing it still and started thinking that if they disabled the use of your own powerups then it would be little bit more interesting.

For now it happened to me once only. As Star cup increases score X times as you get higher levels for birds then I thought that maybe it put some high level player against me. Because I got quite good score in my opinion (some half a million ) and there was not much pieces left but opponents score was million and little more. Didn’t see any possibility how to get such a score myself.

I think not. Its quite logical to compare username so that you don’t get your own games.

I think that they may be real. But the opponent doesn’t really play real-time with you. I keep having feeling that these are saved games. Server chooses some other players game for you and then plays it down against you.

@wingmanjuan, just lost one level somewhere in new StarCup. Started playing, looked that there was two competition from three available. Started StarCup, it said some error and check your connection and level was gone. Internet connection was available and next competition loaded without problems. Just FYI.

Exactly same thoughts. Another way to get players spend money and get powerups. Tried it and when reached certain level then it was clear than I can’t beat another player/bot if I don’t use my own powerups.

I am kind of in heaven now! Game doesn’t end automatically and there is a button for ending it manually. At last! Had chance to bother their support only 2 and half years. Guess I don’t have any more big reasons to write them.

I am kind of hopeful here. After my last complaint about game ending too fast answer was that team is making some changes and after the next update this shouldn’t be an issue anymore. I am waiting now to see if they really did something or its some half-baked thing.

I sent also my complaint about game ending again. Its really annoying when they make game about getting maximum score you can get but then take away possibility to do so. I am not talking about last bird bouncing around while game end but I even wasted some powerups this week. I used King Sling for example and would have used some other powerup or Wingman but just didn’t notice that all pigs were gone and started to look best way to go on when game just ended. Its starting to frustrate me more and more. Kind of losing my interest an game its fun factor when you must rush and hold birds and always check if pigs are gone or not.

Come on, @wingmanjuan I have been bothering support about two years now with it and their best is tap on the shoulder and saying through the roses – deal with it. And only thing they maybe are doing is pushing the level ending a couple or some seconds further.

Welcome to the club, @ennui001. Its been my constant frustration with AB about couple years now. But whenever I bring it up with support the answer is always something like – it’s supposed to be that way and players want to game end fast and sometimes they complain that game won’t end fast enough. And last time I even got fun recommendation – “It is not advisable to use power-ups after all the pigs have been popped.” So stuff your Wingman and special slings and forget cleaning up huge pile of rubble which remains after popping pigs. Its not meant to be.

I imagine that this means no to the check box where I can unselect automatic ending. Oh well… Just watched another ending where pieces which flew up after explosion didn’t reach the ground before ending. And lost couple opportunities to clear rubble with bird after pigs got killed because I wasn’t fast enough to hold remaining bird. It really …

Okay, if we are talking about user videos then is there any need for official Nest videos at all? Lets user post their video solutions and take official videos down. I just though that why neglect one platform and post solutions only for one when they are so different. But I know that all additional things are just more work and bother, so if there is no demand for it then let it be.

Hey @wingmanjuan, I thought that I cry a little on your shoulder about my constant reason for frustration and disappointment with AB Friends. I have now bothered Rovio’s support from time to time two years already about game ending automatically and too fast. There are quite many levels where last bird is flying/bouncing or things start falling when game just ends and score points are lost. And also many levels where there are some debris left worth more than 10000 points and I want to look and think how to get them but can’t, because pigs are killed and game just ends when I don’t grab and hold bird quickly or maybe use a Wingman if other birds are gone. It seems to be very low priority or very hard thing to make automatic ending optional. I for one would be in heaven if in through some miracle there would appear some checkbox where I can unselect default setting which is automatic ending.

PU’s or no PU’s, there is no way to achieve any competition spirit when there is no way to get same score on different platforms and even on same platform but with different screen resolution. How do you compete with other guy when game behaves and even looks different on PC and Android and iOS? Sometimes I really curse Rovio when I play on PC and send bird flying and it just hits some invisible point on screen which is seen if you play on Android. And I curse them also when last bird is sent flying and game just ends when pieces are falling or bird is still bouncing around. And I gave up cursing when I play on PC and birds behave totally differently when I play on Android. I just accept the fact. And I gave up on competition quite a while ago and just playing for myself.

I concur with the memory problem. Firefox + flash player takes easily 1GB+ RAM and if there is some other stuff open and HDD is not very fast then I see sometimes quite much HDD activity (I guess its swap file activity) and same error message.
