Perhaps the Bird Coin Rewards for the Friends competition of the weekly Tournament increase with the number of friends that compete each week. With 5 friends that play the top prize is 450 Bird coins.

It is obvious that Angry Birds Nest and Rovio both condone cheating to attain the highest possible scores. ABN can do nothing to remove cheaters from the ABF Tournament and have done nothing to remove self declared cheaters from ABN. @dollarbill2208 has become the Lance Armstrong of ABN and is part of the old boy network that fairly competed until cheating became justified. ABN had a policy of honesty that went out the window first with power-ups and then with the World Wide Tournament. ABN has not provided seperate leaderboards for non-paying (to Rovio), non-power-up users and will probably not provide seperate leaderboards for self declared cheaters. Cheat to compete has become the way to play in ABN, as long as you do not post your scores to a leaderboard. I no longer post my non-power-up scores to ABN leaderboards as it is a waste of time. Having never used or bought any power-ups, I have resigned myself to accept the fact that I will never get any higher than Silver league and my challenge is now to remain in that league. I believe Silver League is the highest league attainable by a non-power-up user. If Cheaters are removed, perhaps Gold League but not Diamond. Fling hard and often. Cheat to compete with your own kind but don’t whine if non-cheaters despise you for your choice. At one time I had alot of respect for @dollarbill2208, It’s ashame he decided that he no longer wanted to be worthy of my respect.

I hope all of these posts are about Diamond League. I am finally up to Silver League. I don’t use Power-Ups so it took a while. I have not seen any really high scores yet. All of the previous posts are now 3 weeks old. Any updates on cheaters being or not being removed? Is cheating a big thing in Silver League or mainly Diamond League. And @dollarbill2208 Have you joined the ranks of cheaters? If so, What are the benifits of doing so? Please share your methods and hacks so that others can compete with you at the same level.

If you can not improve your score on the last day then you probably reached the height of you capabilities earlier in the week. I usually increase my scores slightly on Sunday but do not spend as much time during the week as I used to. I try to stay away from the red arrows. It is not so easy to do in Gold League as I do not use any Power-Ups. That is my choice just as cheating is a choice for others. Each method has its own challenges and limitations.

The Cheaters rose quickly to the Diamond League and will continue to attain fraudulantly high scores. Legitimate playing Power-Up users will struggle to stay in Diamond and Gold Leagues until the cheaters are caught and expelled only to return under a new name. Non-Power-up players will struggle to stay in the Silver and Bronze Leagues. Casual and new Players will remain in Stone and below leagues. Each player can rise as high as their skill, determination, pocket book and ethics will allow.

Extra points seem to be awarded if your bird strikes objects without destroying them. Like bouncing off of rocks and ice.

I have a 409 League Rating. I am in Silver League. I am pretty surprised at being in Silver League because I don’t use Power-Ups. With a first place finish (green arrow), I advance to Gold League. With a 30th or less finish (red arrows), I get demoted to Bronze League (again). I get to keep my coins, my Power-Ups, and my friends. Oh, And my cash. Fling hard and often.

@maiasatara I was not yelling. The arrows that you see only pertain to you based upon your League Rating coming into this weeks Tournament. I am in Silver League. Last week I entered the Tournament with a 404 League Rating. I had a green arrow on #1 and red arrows from #s 29 thru 40. I finished in 24th. This week I entered the Silver League Tournament with a 409(+5) League Rating. Again I have a green arrow on the #1, but the red arrows are from #s 30 thru 40. Those arrows are only for me based upon MY League Rating. If you keep track of your League Rating, your weeks finish and the position of the green and red arrows on a weekly basis you may get a better understanding of how you are doing against the game and others. I do not fully understand The Tournament and Scoring but by keeping track of my weekly results I believe that I can get a better understanding of how it works. I am truly surprised that I have been able to get to the Silver League without using Power-Ups. Good Luck. Fling hard and often.

@maiasatara Those red arrows are how YOU can go back down to the previous level if you finish that low. The green arrows at the top are how YOU can move up to the next level. finish in between and you remain in the same level. Track YOUR finish rank and YOUR
accumulated points on your league page to track YOUR PROGRESS.

I joined ABF when it first came out on PC. ABF has been available on android for a while and I occasionally play without logging on. I do not want Facebook on my phone. Now that ABF will no longer be supported on PC, will I lose all of my coins and power-ups changing platforms even if I allow Facebook on my phone?

ABF is available on Android and may be the reason extra points were available on mobile devices in the first few weeks of the League Play. Nothing official from Rovio yet. Free versions of all AB titles are also available. I am not sure if I want Facbook on my phone though.

@Andrews Apps Angry Birds Nest has walkthroughs that post a video for both P/U and non P/U users. I rarely use them but they are available for all nesters to improve their scores. A discussion thread is below the the video to brag and share alternate gaming methods. Not all involved in ABF are nesters. I have shared ABN with all 5 of my friends and 4 are 886,000 or better. Now at 908,970, in 1st by 330, 5th in league for now. I play on PC only. I am sharing my scores to help others who do not use power-ups to know what is obtainable without power-ups. ABN does not have separate leader boards. Fling hard and often.

Does anyone KNOW how long this tournament style will last or if this is the new ABF format? I can’t find anything outlining the tournament duration.
Lots of upset players not being able to fairly compete can not be what Rovio had in mind when they changed this.
906,340 w/o power-ups so far and good for 6th in wood league. 930,560 is high in league. Playing on PC.

How long is the ABF Halloween tourney going to last? Are X-Mas levels with the wacky cannons happening again this year and in a tourney too? Does anyone like the unfair advantage different platforms provide in the current tournament? Can all top 100 scores that are not accompanied by videos be banned from ABN come the first of the New Year? Has a link been created to automatically post ABF scores when earned to the leaderboard? Just wondering…
