@pauloaguia@optimuspig, I can confirm that many of those starting ads can no longer be skipped now. However, when they show up the game is paused in the background for me.
I am on Android, not sure if it makes a difference.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaAs for disadvantages, there’s just one – Blaster’s shots have zero splash damage.
Maybe there’s an accessory that “fixes” that…Nevermind, I only just saw your video…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguia@optimuspig I’ve noticed that I can’t soup some ads before the game as well. Can’t confirm the few seconds delay before the X shows up, though…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaYes, top 6 every day is enough to guarantee the 5000 tokens. You can even aford to slip down a day or 2, depending on the reward of the daily quests.
It’s still not easy to do, but it is not such an impossible mission either…The problem is that no so many people have Dead End yet, so the fight for the first places will be fierce… and that, may indeed, keep it out of reach for the begginer player…

@pauloaguia@armourbende I can confirm that I have never paid for anything in ABT and I am not seeing the hamster ad. I’m guessing it’s a region targeted ad and there are never any of those for Portugal :P
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaShhhh, don’t say that. They may “fix it” later.
I think that’ll “fix” itself naturally as you unlock harder dificulty levels…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaAnd it seems I posted too soon: I had played a couple of times at the event, saw my token count go up, came here to tell others and when I went back to the game now it’s looping again ?
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaSeems to be back to normal now
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaAim for them first, like @partshade said and also call for a teammate – usually that fact alone does a lot of damage and the teammate will help you do the rest.
Using your energon ability may also help you a bit.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguia@partshade When I tap on a target, the character will continue shooting to that target until it is destroyed. Even if it stops for reloading, it will still be focused on that target when it resumes. I still don’t see the need to hold…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaGalvatron is great – it’s got a strong weapon and is probably one of the most powerful characters I have unlocked so far…
Not sure what you meant by tap and hold. I always just click on where I want my character to shoot, I never hold… Is there any character where holding might make a difference?

@pauloaguiaThis is really a three question topic. When I choose a team mate I see I can pay 100 coins to change that team mate. so when I pay it and look at my choices I notice in the upper left corner of the different characters a small but varying cost of that particular character. So does the cost differ in their strength and/or weaponry?
Today I decided to finally pay to switch my teammate because your description left me curious. I did not get choices, though – simply a new character. Maybe because I’m not on Facebook? (don’t know)
As for the upper left corner, what I see there is the level of the character, a number from 1 to 10. Could that be what you’re assuming to be a cost?

@pauloaguia@kowalski-kowalski-5209, I seem to recall something like that happened to me too.
Can’t really think if either of these work but it won’t hurt trying:
* switch to another app and then back to ABEpic. It worked on a similar “can’t clikc here” problem I had on other levels
* try to find out if the pig is somewhere else – I recall that once I had to move to a place on the side for it to act as if I was over the pig or the bird. Not sure if either of these worked. I remember what you just described ahppening to me too and me being very pissed about it at least one of the times…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaAnother thing that does help a lot with the mortar towers is strategically switching back and forth between car and robot. The tower will fire the fireball to the position where you will be by the time it reaches you; if you change your speed the fireball will miss.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaYeah, after playing some more today I don’t think it’s that either – I think the time it takes to destroy the buildings is more related to the weapon and the level of the character than anything else.
I did play a “very easy” game that seemed very long though. One thing I noticed were that there were lots of energon buildings. Right after that an hard game with very few buildings. So I have a new theory now but need to play a few more games to test it out.
Or maybe it’s not one specific thing but a combination of a lot of things…As for the mortar towers they’re fairly easy to deal with when you’re playing with one of the Terence characters but a pain with the rest. I usually get my sidekick as soon as I see one if I can – the slow motion gives me time to think and react to those flaming fireballs…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaI’ve had that happened two or three times for me two but it’s been a long time since the last one. But, if I remember correctly, it was in mid battle, however…
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaI’ve had a very easy battle with mortar towers! And those are definitely not very easy…
My current theory is that the easy-hard classification is related to the amount of fire power required to destroy things, especially the buildings that give you energon. But I still haven’t played enough times with the same characters to confirm this.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaDon’t know.
The number of seconds they stay in the fight.
Before the end of the level, when you see the ship pass over the scenario, you loose the ability to summon your teammate (thinking about could be that amount of secods before the end of the level but I didn’t confirm). Also, after you summon him, he’ll stay for a specific amount of time and then be recalled back. I think (but didn’t confirm) that if you summon him just before the time where he’d be unavailable, that he’ll stay with you till the end – say, if he stays with you for 10 sec and you summon it 7 sec before you loose the ability to summon him, then he’ll stay with you till the end.

@pauloaguiaeggbots are the little tine bots that you see rebuilding the levels on the island map.
If you zoom in close enough you’ll see they are commanded by the eggs, the villains in this game
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaNope. Those are missiles.
I’ve neutralized a bunch of those now and the Mortar related achievment is still at zero.Patience, young grasshopper – there’s more to discover still ;)
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaYes, any metalic element will give you energon when destroyed.
The easiest way to confirm if you’re shooting at the right thing or not is looking for the health bar that shows up once the element gets the first hit.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaKeep firing at the shining elements to get more energon and refill your special ability. In early upgrade levels you’ll only be able to use one at a time; in later upgrade levels you can collect a second or even a third energon cube. I think that’ll make the ability be stronger. But when you use it, you have to start collecting energon from zero again.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaIt’s a special ability of some characters just like the Shield or the EMP bombardment. Can’t recall right now which charcaters have that hability but it’s represented by a lightning bolt if I’m not mistaken.
Basically the EMP stunner stuns all pigs in a certain radius for a while and disables missiles too (and mortars – there’s an achievment about it, at least – but at level 24 I don’t think you know what mortars are yet). Flying pigs and missiles will drop to the ground and be destroyed. Standing pigs will usually recover after a short while.
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaIf you don’t die you don’t spend coins on recharging ;)
pauloaguia
@pauloaguiaI started playing it a couple of days ago and, until now, it’s keeping me entertained. I’ve already unlocked a bunch of characters, I’m about half way through upgrading them and the levels are getting harder as expected.
In the beginning it may seem like just a shoot-em-up but as the game progresses it requires a bit of strategic thinking, be it because of disciplining your upgrades or which targets you choose during the actual game play (when to throw in your side kick, shoot the pigs or the stuff under them, go for the pigs or the energon, etc). But yes, it’s a very different style of play – some will like more the basic AB style, others will prefer different games like Go!, Epic or Transformers. There’s a little bit for everybody and a very strong chance that many people won’t like all the different game styles. Nothing wrong with that.
