Hello All,

Is it because of the update that the event is ridiculously difficult? I have never played one of these events that is this difficult. I had to use the 20% video, 3 cherry drinks, and 2 chilis to get through one battle. And it took like 15 minutes. Is it me or is that absurd? And from the looks of my leaderboard, others are not progressing much faster. Top score is only 1,810. They need to adjust the difficulty level or I might pass on this event. Too much aggravation.

Hope everyone is having a good week. I am looking for advice on identifying a cheater that is trying to look like a grinder. Some of these cheaters are pretty slick. I just started arena this morning. I am still in silver league, until the end of time it appears thanks to cheaters, and the #1 spot is a player that went from 0 to 7,210 in minutes. But 7,210 is not a super high score. I had to grind for a bit just to get to #2 after completing daily objectives, so no way he/she got to 7,210 that quickly. I am going to grind up to #1 and see what happens. But what a pain to try and monitor this situation… Ideas?

Here is an example of what I was asking about before. These are my first set of arena objectives for this week:

1.) Win 1 arena battle by knocking out the banner while all enemies are knocked out!

2.) Win arena battles and knock out 5 birds with a rage ability!

3.) Win arena battles and knock out Bomb 5 times with Matilda!

I can do this all in one battle. So if I do all of my objectives in one battle I will automatically be considered a cheater? If that is the case they need to structure the objectives differently.

Sorry to hear that. Sadly, I did not even get to stay in gold. Soooooo many cheaters I did not stand a chance. And no one got zeroed out. I did not keep track of all of the scores so no additional names to report, but I am going to start keeping track and reporting to Rovio. Maybe if they are flooded with reports on cheaters, including data and screenshots they will start taking the problem more seriously. I did finish 3rd in the event! :). Grinding until the last minute. The first two spots were cheaters, but the guys I was competing with for 3rd, 4th and 5th put up a good, honest fight, so that was fun. Lost some sleep, but well worth it.

Now I am not sure if I ever got moved out of the cheater league or not. They told me I did but who knows… I really thought I had been moved. They have responded to my request to be moved out of the cheater league “again” and their response is for me to send screen shots of the leaderboards showing the cheaters! Well how is that going to help with changing my status? I will still be in the cheater league and they do not do anything about the cheaters anyway!!!

On a positive note, it looks like they are fixing the Facebook login issues with the 2.0 upgrade. Mine is finally working. Just this morning my Facebook login is working correctly and I can finally see friends. I do not agree with testing during the last hours of the event (I had to reset my internet connection to be able to reconnect to the game), but I am thrilled that it is finally working. :)

I am not 100% positive b/c I cannot get a response from Rovio. But I am 99.999% sure based on the cheaters in my leagues, the types of battles in the arena, cheaters in my event group, etc. When Rovio took me out of the cheater league the last time the environment was completely different. I had some grinders in the arena, but nothing unreasonable. The event before Valentine’s Day I finished in the top 3 with no problem. There were no cheaters anywhere. No unreasonable scores. Now it is absurd again. How can they penalize a player for completing the daily arena objectives in as few battles as possible? If I am efficient I am a cheater? I may give up the arena for good if I can get out of the cheater league again. And with this 2.0 update coming I think things will be worse. They need to fix the product they have. They are just building more code on an already flawed system.

Just posting this one for fun. This cheater showed up on my Facebook feed. How can you have 4,150,344 lucky coins, 4,150,344 snoutlings, and 4,150,344 friendship essence all at the same time? You can’t. It is mathematically impossible. Nothing like advertising your cheating on Facebook. I sent this to Rovio, but I doubt they will do anything. I have to ask again. Do they realize they do not make any money off of these cheaters? I would think that would be their biggest motivation to address the problem.

Hello All,
Have not posted in a bit. I got dumped in a cheater league AGAIN!! and after reading this thread I have a better idea of why. Thanks for the explanations of how the mathematically inept have set up their “cheater detection system”. I am beyond disgusted….. I was so happy to be out of the cheater group, at least for the time it lasted. Here are my updates for cheaters I have encountered: week 2 IvanCBM; week 3 RUBEN and FLEDERMAUS; this week LUIS and FLEDERMAUS. I have contacted Rovio twice trying to find out why I am a cheater league, but still no response. It is ridiculous that they cannot get this problem under control. I also have a cheater in my event group, in the number one spot of course, but I cannot report his name as it is in Russian characters (I think it is Russian…). He had over 30,000 in the first 10 minutes. They should at least try to make their cheating less obvious…

@suzyq. Rovio told me I was out of the cheater group as well. Not sure if it is true or not. Last week seemed reasonable, but this week I have a cheater in my group that I have seen before. We can add HEATHER to the cheater list. She just jumped up almost 3000 points in 2 minutes.

On a seperate note, I just started the arena today and got put in a group that started Sunday or Monday. So no chance of catching up to the top 3 spots as they are all over 20,000 already. Is that how the arena works now? Do you have to start right away on Sunday? How frustrating! Wish I would have known…

Hello All. Finally heard back from Rovio. They say I have been taken out of the cheater group. No compensation…. They said they were sorry for the inconvenience, but that was it. Very disappointing. But hopefully I will be out of the cheater group for the arena next week. :). We shall see.

@bubbley. I made it to gold for this week after grinding my Sunday away to keep 3rd place. But sadly, I think most of my group this week are cheaters. The top 4 spots now have scores that suddenly just appeared in the 13,000 to 14,000 range (and their scores are not changing from grinding). Including MOA who I see on the cheater spreadsheet already. MOROKEI is also in my group, but I think he waits until the last day to jump to a top score. It does not look encouraging…. It will be interesting to watch them all try to out score each other all week for the top spots. I think I will just play the dailies for shards and try to move up next week.

I wish Rovio would at least respond to my ticket about being in a cheater group…. 6 days and no response other than the auto e-mail that they received my request.

Hello All. Started the arena this afternoon after new objectives went up. Have a player named “HEATHER” that jumped to the number one spot with score of 13,245 almost immediately. Seems a little high, but I do not want to accuse anyone of cheating unless I am 100% positive. It was an hour at most.

Still no response from Rovio on my cheater status! Five days since I submitted a ticket…..

New cheater for the list. Grinding my Saturday evening away to try to make the top three and out of nowhere a new cheater called CHJOKER grabs the number one spot with a score of 95,915. If Rovio does not take me out of the cheater group soon I am really thinking about giving up the arena for a while. Nothing is worth all of this aggrevation.

@suzyq. I wish you luck with that board. THUNDERBIRD is a terrible cheater. I had him on one of my boards last season. Two of the guys in my group were so mad at his cheating activities that they changed their usernames to “F**K_YOU_THUNDERBIRD” for like the last three days of the week. MOROKEI is also a cheater. And I had HACKER last week. I did notice that SAY\ toned it down this week. He usually cheats with a score of at least 500,000 or more. Seems like all of the cheaters have toned down their cheating scores this week. Maybe they are trying to stay under the radar? How sad for all of them that this is the only way they know how to win.

I hope you get moved out of the cheater group. I am still waiting to hear back from Rovio…..

ERNESTO the cheater strikes again. Last night he was at the bottom of our board in 15th place. Just checked and he is now in 1st place with a score of 85,699. Ahhhhhhhhh. I was actually thinking I was having a good arena week. Silly me. JAMS, MARMION, and I have been grinding it out all week for the top three spots, but I was enjoying playing because I knew we were all playing honestly.

Hello All. Is it normal for the pigs damage to increase as the event progresses? For example, I just went through a battle where I lost a bird because the damage was far above the amount showing on the stats for the pigs. It says 650 but dealt damage of 975. And that was with using Samurai shield on Blues at 40% (no goo or water). So either the math is REALLY bad, which I have seen a lot in the arena, or I am missing something. And if damage does increase then stop adding pigs. This event is a monumental disappointment!

@timber. Same for me. My teammate names have changed several times as well and the cheaters have gotten worse along the way. Number one in my group already has over 10,000! And the opposing team has a score of over 63,000, while my team has just 23,000. It is ridiculous. I have no clue how I ended up in a cheater group and no idea how to get out. I am just playing for a new elite class at this point. And you are right, it is not fun anymore.

Two cheaters on my board this week. I already reported HACKER. Just this morning SAY\ joined my board with a score of 567,420. Just this morning!!! So just wait until the last day, pop in, grab the number one spot and move on to the next week? How is Rovio not doing anything about these people? Sorry for venting again, but holy crap, they could at least check for scores above like 250,000 and automatically zero those people out. How difficult is that? It is very discouraging to get to Sunday and have someone grab the number 1 spot with that ridiculous score!

Happy Friday all. Was going to skip the arena this week, but now I am finding myself playing just out of curiosity to see if I can get into a group with no cheaters. So far I am failing miserably. Started this afternoon and have a cheater on my board with over 90,000.

So all week long my arena board has been 1-LEIBER (obvious cheater at almost 3 million), 2-MONIKA (she was grinding all week, so she was ahead), then me DANI in 3rd place. Until this morning!!! Now suddenly these other 3 guys have magically moved up to 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place??? They are as follows:

1-LEIBER (super cheater)
2-TG
3-JUMU
4-MONIKA
5-REARFISTINGYU (nice username – ick)
6-DANI

These guys have been at the bottom of the board since Wednesday! No one is getting zeroed out even though I sent in a ticket about LEIBER. What is the deal?

How is the guy with a score of almost 3 million not getting zeroed out? It is a simple database search to look for scores above a certain number.

Hello All. I am done remaining silent about cheaters. I love playing the arena, but it is becoming more frustrating every week watching the cheaters. This week I waited until today to start the arena and the number one spot is a cheater with a score of almost 3 million. Almost 3 million??? Seriously??? It is frustrating enough to watch the cheaters that at least try to make it look believable, but this is ridiculous. I sent in a support request to Rovio, but I doubt it will help. Why can’t they do something about this?
