no after map 9-6 you get 2 more gems than you would on a normal map. It gives you 3 rather than the typical 2 :)

Right now I’m almost on 9-9 – trying to finish the map quickly. I’m sure the boss at the end of 9-10 gives you the typical 5.

It depends if you have something better or not. Since you don’t trigger fever every game, it’s hard to justify it vs. the best in slot items like those which increase panel appearance rate.

@mighty-red-1 I think he’s referring to the vintage hat vs any other hat with Stella. He’s saying that if you have the parfume bottle it’s the best as the bonus from it will exceed even that of the ice cream cone for example.

I’m stuck wondering if my SS squid hat is actually better than my SS ice cream cone. Yes, I get a guaranteed 120 defense – but I may be getting close to or better than that with the Squid hat. (I have the parfume bottle)

In my opinion it’s all about whatever bird you win the most with or has the best SS equipment. My best is the blues as I have 3 SS items – Me me stick, pokercards, and winner helmet. I don’t try to play birds just to level them up as this actually makes them worse in a way (tournaments, harder fights, etc…) Yes, it shows more stats, but you are worse off.

If all birds were perfect, I truly think Red would be the best overall with all of his 3 items simply because his sabotage also clears all the red tiles off the board and actually forces the other player to press boxes. As your own birds color of tiles are worth more this seems to be a distinct advantage.

On the other hand, the case could be made for Chuck and Matilda. Get enough sabotages and the other player literally has to pause until the sabotage is cleared. That’s just my opinion 3,000 fights in – it could change.

@netto-jm Ranked 1007 in the Stella event… went to bed 30 minutes before at rank 850 but had no more energy or tickets so I figured I’d take my chances… By the way I do speak Portuguese. Morava em Fortaleza por um tempinho ;)

Oh well, those trophies seem pretty useless if you have a good SS item in that slot anyway. Also, I don’t have the vintage hat – just the ice cream scoop so I use that. Also have the SS item from the squid event that also seems to do very well.

@netto-jm – Oi – Ya I don’t have the cat’s paw.. Seems like everyone else has this but me. Oh well, hopefully I’ll get that toothbrush eventually. Yesterday I also got the ice cream cone for Stella as well. My best is the Blues (hard to see but I have poker cards).

I was lucky today… started with a B level hat and star stick last night. Got the SS rare jellyfish hat and then on my first slot open I got the Parfume bottle. Now I have the star stick from the event (s) Rare Jellyfish hat (SS) and Parfume bottle (SS). I couldn’t even win a basic battle with her a day ago. Now, she’s winning quite a bit. Just need a better weapon and she’ll be a great option.

Honestly I can get through the boxes while still matching panels so reds isn’t bad for me. On the other hand, I feel like Stellas bubbles I can see through so personally, that doesn’t bother me.

Bombs black and white kills me unless I’m already working on something and often times blues paint forces me to ignore a few panels until they’re cleared through powers.

Great testing – I was wondering this myself. I have a SS item that ups defense when Matilda is captain so I generally choose her, but like her in-game battles it almost seems like my ship’s attack has gone down. Not sure that makes sense though.

Unfortunately, I think your best combo is just going to be panel appearance rate and the up defense and attack SS items. Is there an SS / gold item with the random angry panels? I haven’t seen it yet.

I still find Bomb and Blues most annoying in terms of sabotage power. If you’ve ever been sabotaged 4-5 times by blue you know what I mean

Truly those who have just started the game have an advantage here.. they can use gems, make red good, and play low quality opponents.

I think one of the real problems is that the game gives you experience whether you want it or not. Take my Stella for instance. I’ve never played her and she’s level 23. What can I do with that? I’ve never received a single item for her – how am I going to beat a comparable level 23?
