It was a test feature. Now a different test group apparently has a 30-minute FF as the reward for match 6 in the arena.

Points in ab2 are all about maximum destruction. In any case points are pretty much irrelevant in the game modes where you’re likely to have birds left over, ie map, DC, clan challenges. You’ll (virtually) always run out of birds before you run out of rooms in the modes where points do matter, ie CvC, MEBC, arena.

When you replay a level, the stars don’t count towards your star rank. They will count towards the “get 25 stars” daily quest, though.

Only beating new levels or winning arena matches will add stars to your star rank counter.

There is some evidence that hats off might work for the Rowdy Rumble, actually. Which would be a huge and predictable oversight on Rovio’s part. OTOH it might just be their cruddy algorithm ?

And you’re correct that we can’t always believe what they say. Good thing I have over 2 years of battle data from 2 top 30 clans. ?

Good clans have full participation and max out all events. There are many many good clans; unfortunately there are a lot more struggling or abandoned clans. And there are a few that are building and on their way to becoming successful. The trick is finding the right fit for you. Plenty of decent clans have relaxed rules, though those ones may not always max out challenges.

My suggestion: go to the ab2 gamers or recruiting page on Facebook, post a screenshot of your home page and a description of what you’re looking for, and wait for the offers to roll in. It’s a player’s market these days. Take your time and look for the right fit.

The clan power you see in your clan info screen will vary depending on hats and active extra birds, and if you’re near the border of two different leagues then changing your hats can shift you from one to the other. This used to happen in my clan too. But if you pay attention you’ll notice at the start of battle that the rewards you’re playing for will always be for the higher league. Because that’s the one you’re really in, regardless of the apparent clan power showing, or the apparent league based on that number. That clan power you see is not what Rovio uses in their matchmaking system. It doesn’t mean much of anything in fact.

If you actually analyzed your real clan power and compared it to that of your opponents (which you can only get accurately by examining their profiles one by one and doing the math) you would discover that yours and theirs are almost always within a couple of thousand plus or minus, usually even closer. And that they are as likely to be above you as below you, regardless of what you do with your hats.

But carry on believing in it if it makes you feel better. You won’t be the only ones.

The original confirmation would have been in 2018, around June or July, and no I don’t still have that. But I do have this one from this last September. I wasn’t actually asking them about that at the time, but it’s typical of Rovio to miss the point. ?

@alper, I know because my clan used to do it. We gathered extensive data and proved that it has no effect, and then Rovio confirmed it. So we stopped doing it a long time ago. We continue to routinely beat clans that still do it.

@sanderhuizer, if your clan wins all the time, congratulations! But it’s not because of the hats.

@tubby you would have had to tell them before you left, assuming you have no contact information for them. However if they happen to look at your profile in the feed, they’ll see where you’ve gone. Its possible that they might follow on their own if you had a good relationship with them.

All hat sets raise your slingshot level by one. It’s better to get the cheapest ones first, especially the exotics since they don’t show up anywhere else once their event is over.

 

By the way there is another well-known long-time player who goes by Angry Turd. Call yourself what you like, of course. Just saying it might cause confusion.

In any case, it’s not possible for a 4-bird profile to even be in a clan. Could be a cheat, or it could be a sync error showing you the incorrect information. This does happen, and is the more likely explanation.

This is a known bug. If someone leaves the nickname field blank, the game will keep assigning different random names.
