I had a similar experience, saphira.  The first few days of the new arena I was able to play relatively successfully.  My opponents were always massively underpowered compared to my fp, around 40fp advantage per bird.  Then, starting on Saturday, it was literally impossible to win.  I had the lead in the tournament at that point, and all day Saturday and Sunday all it did was hurt me to actually play.  Lost nearly every time, at least 5 or 6 to 1.  The opponent fp was still the same, but it seemed like they would adjust to what I was scoring.  For example, I would be 20-30 million up, and we would both have 2-3 birds left.  All of a sudden they would score 10mil plus per bird and full destructometer every time to give them extra cards to allow them to over take me.  It also seemed to have affected the opponent in the leader board trying to overtake me because I quit playing for 2 days since I only lost points, and so did they. Now they’ll still have the same fp deficit, but I will get completely dominated in the match just a few birds in to the degree that it’s pointless to continue.

I’ve even seen scoring in reverse.  I would have a decent advantage, like 15 mil, then their score would go backwards back down to zero.  I’m thinking ok, whatever I’ll win for sure now.  Nope.  It’s like they adjust an algorithm on the fly to take wins away from you.  I’ve seen the negative scoring adjustment 2-3 times and lost every time it occurred.

The most recent update has made the game all but unplayable for me.  My other device won’t even log in, unless Internet is turned off which is useless.  If it’s on it hangs on the loading screen.  On this device the lag is incredible and crashes are frequent.  Was forced to update mid week so that scrubbed me winning the arena tournament because I can hardly complete two matches a day without crashing.  Played my free mebc entry, did fairly well, and it hangs and crashes on the screen where you get your coins for completing rooms and didn’t save progress.  Paid 60 gems to try again and didn’t even make it all the way through.  Incredibly ridiculous, I suppose I’ll be forced to quit this idiotic game finally as this hot garbage is untenable.

There is no way that is possible.  Example:  currently there are 4 players ahead of me in the clan event – the one where you just get points to get a prize not the one where you compete against another clan.  Each person has 1 point, as I do which means we’ve all played exactly once.  There’s no way a player with a FP 400 less than me has a higher score yet I’m at the bottom of the board.  Every player has hundreds of less FP yet they rank higher on the board, all with one point mind you, and have higher rewards.  Ridiculous.

Ok so I didn’t realize that watching the videos add an extra arena ticket instead of the way it used to be. But the videos do sometimes cause the game to crash. And a guaranteed crash for me is to play two consecutive arena games in a row. 2nd game crashes without fail, happened to me multiple times since since the update. Real nice, wasted entries and no way to string wins together. Not to mention no shot at winning the arena.

No kidding man. Arena is absolutely impossible. I’m about done with this game. Every update causes more and more issues. Each new one is worse than the last. Not to mention losing progress and gems, then waiting 2 weeks to hear from rovio and then only getting a fraction of the gems back

Sure it’s normal, it happens every time. They’ve stepped their game up this time though. Mine won’t even open so I lost a week of playing the ridiculous arena – was in first place.

This is seriously garbage. An entire week wasted in the arena. Was in first place before I stupidly tried to install the update. I’m sure I’ll lose progress and gems as well. Unacceptable.

Lol ‘get better’ when you yourself said you can get trash cards. Yeah sure start over, but you lose a life. Just now I waited till a laser pig finally went to sleep, which seems to happen less and less. He woke up mid throw and shot the bird down. ‘Get better’

It must be #3 that @mvnla2 posted. No way to invite friends to play the game like the built in facebook games. I must say I have a suspicion that even if someone did have angry birds 2 installed and was your facebook friend, I doubt it would work even then.
