I’m super glad that I quit this game when I did.  Just reading through this thread.  It’s amazing what a s**tshow this game has become.

This negatively impacts honest players a lot more than it does “hackers”.

Farming by collecting materials and doing labs spins was a totally legit way of earnings gems.

Pure and simple, looks like they don’t want players farming gems from the Pig Lab anymore.

Yeah, I’m done.  The game is just no longer enjoyable for me.

TBH I probably passed that threshold a while ago, I was just too stubborn to admit.

After that JARSU to start off the week, I managed to recover somewhat, but not entirely.

Got lucky towards the end.  First I snagged a random Gold Crate that gave me 400 tokens, and then I (just barely) managed a 1st Place finish on Day 6.

Still slightly short of the 18K tokens I need to overpower Blaster, I’m hoping to snag some more tokens from the Daily Quest and from cranking through some Steel Crates.

You know what really annoys me?

Players who do their first four runs of the day, then don’t come back until half a day later and then recharge five or six times right away to jump into first place.

Funny enough, if you go into the Barracks although his image appears it has “Coming Soon” written over it ?

I got Menasor, one accessory (the 20% Defense), and 12,000 Sparks for the cost of 1,000 gems.

My guess is they’re trying something new, but pulled the trigger on it too early.

In the past, when a new TF has been offered for gems, it’s always been in a special offer separate from all the other offers.   But now there’s an additional tab in the “offer store” for characters.

I did a full uninstall/reinstall of the game, and I’m back in, finally.

And now it’s Sharktihog day.  I shouldn’t have bothered ….

Within 5 minutes of what?

The bug was still preventing me from getting into the game as of half an hour ago.  So that’s basically 24 hours since I first ran into the problem.

In desperation, I uninstalled and then reinstall the game, despite my reluctance to do so after reading about other players’ experiences with losing all progress after a reinstall.

Fortunately it worked and I am now able to get back into the game.

Since it looks like this issue isn’t going to get fixed until at least Monday, I guess I’m out.

I can’t even play right now.

Getting an “Update Required” notification when I try to start the game, except that there is no update available in the Play Store.

New bug.

When I try to start the game, I get the message:

“Update Required.  A new update is available including important changes.  Please update to continue.”

Except, guess what?  There is no update available in the Play Store.

There’s no universal “right” approach or “wrong” approach, it all depends on what our goals are for the game and how each of us wants to approach it.

My main objectives are to:

1. unlock all TFs, and

2. Overpower the TFs that I like

Sparks help me to Overpower by helping me to place better in certain Special Events and earn more Tokens, but I’m not out to collect Sparks just for the sake of collecting them.

There are some Squads where I’ve completely bypassed promoting or overpowering any of the Squad members, just because I don’t like any of them.

What you’re describing seems quite similar to what I’ve been experiencing.

My temporary “solution” now is to go into the Materials Silo and wait until the video button appears at the bottom of the screen.

I won’t do anything else (go on runs, collect coins, do lab spins, whatever) until that video button shows up, as that is my indicator that the game has properly connected.

“a cloud save allows your transfer from one device to another”

Yes, I’m aware of that.  That’s literally the only reason why I bothered to connect my game to Facebook.

However ever since the version 1.50.0 update, my secondary devices crash <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>as soon as the cloud save loads</span> up.  Fortunately the game still works on my primary device.  Which leads me to wonder if loading cloud saves is what’s causing the problem?

This is not what I’m experiencing.  If that were the case, then I wouldn’t be losing progress when the game fails to connect.

Does the game have multiple servers for different purposes?  For example, there seems to be one that controls our access to the Special Event and keeps track of our Leader-Board progress, and the other one that allows us to view ads (but which also seems to be the one that fails to save my local progress).

That would be great if we could, no doubt.

I see your point the competition, but it can also get frustrating if you’re trying to rack up a lot of tokens (I needed at least 15,000 so I could Overpower GSG this event) and you keep bumping up against the same 2 or 3 guys and they’re overly aggressive.

I almost managed to chase one down yesterday, there was a mad dash with ten minutes left, but he was obviously monitoring the leader-board, lol.

We’ve always been able to choose what time to start, in the sense that no one’s forcing us to start playing as soon as the new game day begins, you only have to do that if you want to get all 27 “natural” runs in the Special Event.

Otherwise you can start your game in the third hour, the fifth hour, the 23rd hour, or whatever.
