Here in Michigan the saying is “April showers bring May flowers”, but this year the tulips bloomed in April and are mostly done with their colors now. There was so much rain in March that there was a small pond in my backyard for a short time – first time in the 35 years I’ve lived in this house! Hmmmmmm

@briann Making fun of us for mangling the English language?!? Don’t you know that we speak AMERICAN, not English. And I think the belief among some here is that you English actually copied your language from us! (Apparently it doesn’t matter that England existed hundreds of years before people emigrated here to take over the land from the natives.)

@atlas-zulay No, I was not in the Airborne Division. Had friends that were very invested in skydiving. Good weather weekends spent at the drop zone; they competed in the Nationals in the summer (was generally in eastern Oklahoma at that time) and went to Zephyr Hills in Florida for Thanksgiving week each year for that competition. No, I didn’t compete. Only made 42 jumps over the years. But still enjoy remembering the adventures!

Cody – I’ve been to the 4 main islands. The 3 smaller ones, twice each. The Big Island, five times. Yep, it’s my favorite. So much to see and do! And … shave ice 😋.

Cody, assuming that is a photo of you, looks like you do some hiking in beautiful places! Try skiing and/or snowboarding and enjoy outdoor activities in the snow.
Hmm…nearing mid 20’s. At that age I was skydiving. Skiing lasted a lot longer for me, and was more fun.

Hey @briann , yes, very strange storm. Michigan didn’t really get too much snow, maybe 4 to 6 inches (although it is snowing again this morning), but the extreme cold is not fun. Days and days of below zero temperatures! My sister in Maine got about 18 inches. States to the south that are not used to this are really suffering. Hard to keep the roads plowed when you don’t have plows!
Meanwhile, the Australian Open continues in record setting heat.
