I watched Wales win 7-1. They were absolutely superb.  They absolutely destroyed a previously unbeaten team. After the misery of the rugby*, something to cheer.

*beating Japan at the last gasp is hardly any improvement.

At that notoriously selfconscious age of 13 my mother decided it would be a good idea to buy me and my dad matching beige corduroy overcoats…

To this day I have a passionate hatred of corduroy.Not too keen on beige either.
