HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyDan, Brian, eight minutes walk up the hill to Pub
Five down
A wise man said “Always build your pub at the top of the hill, people will stride up for a beer, and fall back down”
Brian N
@briannHey @hunnybunny with the weather due to turn cold again you should invest in a luge. You’d get home before you left!
And hello @klamsauce,good to see stray sheep coming back to the fold.No more fish jokes I promise.
Good luck with your quest @guestwith7 my project atm is stealing trophies from @desperate-dan(heh heh).
Not true actually I’ve been stalling with my Rio project as watching @comex666 videos is like watching David Copperfield perform magic tricks.Amazing how levels just seem to fold up and disappear when he plays.Anyway I think it’s more that I’m not feeling the love with Rio as I do with Seasons but will finish Jungle Escape and take it from there.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danOn Rio, @briann, I often found that the scoring was more discrete than ABo. In other words, there were levels on which if you performed the same fling, you got exactly the same score. Never liked it, especially those jungly levels.
Brian N
@briannSadly for me I think these early episodes are the best for reliable scoring.Rio2 seems to consist of a lot of RNG levels where you play the same shot for consistently average scores then all of a sudden you get a good one without any variation in the way you played the shot.I’m thinking of episodes like High Dive where you don’t get so much bang for your buck. One of life’s little pleasures is settling down to play a tough but fair level where with good play and the rub of the green you see your score going up incrementally until you’re happy with it.Or you throw your device out the window.

@briannI see the great man has spoken and greenhouse gasses are not a threat to humanity. Also climate scientists who have spent a lifetime studying this subject are “stupid people”.No doubt he wants a prize for it as well.Is there a Nobel prize for sticking your head in the sand and saying F U to future generations?
CodyRoyales
@atlas-zulayHello flingers. Anyone here into Minecraft?
Brian N
@briannNice change of subject there Cody. Both my kids had spells where they were really into Minecraft but seem to have moved on to other pursuits.Boys in the case of my daughter(well boy and quite a nice one at that).Roblox with a dash of… er …Geometry dash in my son’s case.
New cooker getting delivered tomorrow.Earlier in the week I put one of those ready made paellas from Aldi in the oven.Had them before very tasty 30/35 mins at about 180degrees ,jobs a gudn.Half hour later looks in the oven and the plastic tray had melted and it was as black as the ace of spades.Got total dog’s abuse off the wife amd still no apology when we discovered the thermostat had gone. Why do women find it so hard to apologise @hunnybunny?
Anyway I think a tune is called for.Cover your ears Cody!
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danI’m sure FIFA can dish out another prize for him at the World Cup @briann. But if karma exists then Mar-a-Lago will be flattened by a tornado before then.
Never played Minecraft @atlas-zulay. Don’t think my son did either. I always get it mixed up with Fortnite in my brain. I know they are completely different. I’m afraid my other favourite games are slow puzzlers like Deadly Rooms of Death, Portal and The Talos Principle. Although I have always had a soft spot for Tomb Raider as it and Lara Croft were created in Derby, England, where I lived at the time. The inner ring road is actually called Lara Croft Way.
Brian N
@briannBig game twixt the auld enemies tomorrow @desperate-dan.Blood and thunder.Mel Gibson as William Wallace(absolutely no historical inaccuracies in that film). Everything on the line.Yes we’re talking T20 WC never mind the rugger buggers.
CodyRoyales
@atlas-zulay@briann that gave me a good laugh. I hadn’t read your message and was actually playing minecraft when I noticed I had the chat opened up and sent that message lol.
Happy to hear the son has his episodes of crafting. Love some geo-dash!
CodyRoyales
@atlas-zulayBeautiful @desperate-dan . I never thought you and Brain would be fathers. I might be the youngest flinger here. Happy to see you played Tomb Raider. #DerbyProud
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danSome clues @atlas-zulay.
Our musical taste.
@hunnybunny’s multiple knee replacements.Our sophisticated discourses…
Brian N
@briannYes we is old and have I ever mentioned I hate working Saturdays?Bloody cold this morning.I work out the severity of a winter by how many of my older customers die off…wot?…
Brian N
@briannWell turns out the new cooker isn’t being delivered until next saturday so having someone pick up the old one yesterday doesn’t seem like a good idea now.Thank goodness for air fryers. But the best bit was my wife admitting it was her error %&*?! That’s progress guys.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danWell done to Scotland in the rugby today. Give France the trophy already. But skulduggery and foul language in the curling. Who knew?
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danI have a 2 compartment air fryer, a combi microwave and the hob. Been in this house for three and a half years and I have never once used the oven.
Brian N
@briannYes they are the world champs at bursting England’s bubble but we beat them in the more important game.
Brian N
@briannAnd good luck cooking a Sunday roast.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danI was married to a vegetarian for 34 years so never got into the habit. I guess the combi micro-wave could do a small one. Don’t think I will start now. We had sausages for Christmas.
catsnbirds
@catsnbirdsHi, Dan! Ive been a vegetarian for over 40 years. My oven is used to bake cookies and reheat pizza. Hurray for microwaves 😋.
Brian N
@briannHey @catsnbirds throw another squirrel on the barbie.
Brian N
@briannSausages for xmas?Pushing the boat out there Dan,did you get the boy a stick and hoop without the hoop for his present?
Brian N
@briannHope no one saw that.Anyway speaking of karma there was plenty of it around at the Villa – Toon game yesterday.Three awful decisions all going against Newcastle and yet they still won.Anyone who still thinks VAR is bad for the game should watch this farago
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danThe problem with VAR is
that
it
is
so
slow
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danWill the BBC just stop going on about how Wales have turned the corner and are improving. It’s like they have set the bar so low they will applaud a 2 inch jump. How can repeatedly shipping 50 points be getting any better?
