@oliverfrancis@steelcityb I’ve never personally had that issue before where the boss gets stuck like that. It would make me rage because he’s completely out of reach unless you have Matilda or Silver.
That boss had me re-trying a few times, mainly because the boss fell down incorrectly/too early and just rolled to the left under the lower right rock thing, which just made him un-hittable. The best strategy I know is to get in with Terrance and then use him to clear the crap away from around the lower hole before you aim for the boss.
Launch him to the right so he goes into the air jets which will launch him in a loop and he’ll smash right through everything. Then with some careful aiming you push the boss into the air jets and he should loop round and fall down the hole. Sometimes he flies right over it though so you need some luck.

@oliverfrancisMy DC, despite being a 4-4-5, was frustrating. I first tried with Bubbles and after about 10 or so attempts over a few hours (I was doing other stuff so I just played when I had a free moment) I just couldn’t get to the boss room with enough birds (thanks to the scuba pigs that were in like 80% of the rooms). Bubbles eventually went back to sleep so I switched to Stella and then some how miraculously managed to beat the DC on my first attempt with her.
KPP was a 3-4-5, first 2 bosses are easy and then it throws a blocked exit curve-ball on the last boss. I did pick up a free rare chest but even then 2 birds just isn’t enough; with no exit to push the boss out of I’d need a stockpile of birds just to slam the boss with once he gets down into the water and towards the lower right cave (where the exit usually is).
Figured I may aswell try so I threw Bomb to destroy the platform the boss starts on, which worked but at the same time the explosion tucked the boss into that crevice, which makes it impossible to get him out of. Not going to bother trying again.

AngryBoston
@ogandzyuk@Twisted, same for me today. Spent 120 gems during this last room in both runs and even didn’t approach its completion, since Boss either required at least 3 more birds to be beaten to death, or simply in not favourable position to fly him out. Its frustrating, because until I reach final room, it does require some good runs on previous levels and rooms. I noticed, that during various events (like FF right now), DC/KPP tend to be more difficult
AggieGuy
@aggieguyMy DC was 4-5-6, but beat it on the first try.
Same final KPP room as above, with the same result. If I had been able to get him to drop, I had enough birds to beat him to death since he seemed to take a good amount of damage when Bomb when off next to him.
I’ve got too much to do today to keep trying it over and over.

@nas76Without going through every message in this thread I have come to the conclusion that DC difficulty is directly related to whether or not you buy the gem letter.
Up until the beginning of May I was fairly regularly buying the gem letter, then when that one ended in early June I decided not to do it again. Then about a week later, instead of getting 4-5-6 or 4-4-5 DCs I started to get easier ones; and this continued for months, the most common was 3-3-4. That is until the beginning of this month when I bought one again, then about two days later instead of getting 3-3-4, I got 4-5-6 and I have done so now every day since.
I certainly don’t think any of this is a coincidence. In a similar manner that buying anything automatically stops you getting an advert option in Tower of Fortune.
AggieGuy
@aggieguyA 4-5-6 DC with round 3 being a killer. Room 3 took 4 birds to complete (well protected pig in the middle) leaving me with 1 bird for the boss and it is a room which takes a lot more than 1 bird to beat.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisSame 4-5-6 deal for me; after a few attempts I could run through round 1 and 2 in about a minute each. Round 3 was a gauntlet; after about 5 retries I was familiar enough with the rooms and could get through them somewhat efficiently, but even then I’d still run out of birds by the time I got to the boss room.
After yet more retries I finally got to the boss with 2 birds. I know how to him…with enough birds. I was fed up with wasting time so I said f–k it and spent 120 gems on extra birds just to pummel the boss after he got stuck in the top right corner thanks to the tractor beam platform.
Also the first room on two occasions had a rare chest but of course it was in a silly spot which would just take a bird to grab, so I ignored it…which was sensible as I still failed those attempts. Anyway the KPP was easy.
It’s rare that I buy extra birds on the DC/KPP and super rare that I do it twice in a row (I haven’t bought 2x extra birds in weeks). I will hold back on it and will just keep re-trying until I get a perfect run…or if I’m done trying and want to get it out the way, or if the boss is so close to dying…if the free bird video hadn’t disappeared for me I would save on gems there, but now I’m forced to either bite the bullet or try again.
Buster
@doulgasI never even made it to the boss room. I played until I collected the free apples and went about my day. I don’t spend gems on DC ever since they took away the video bird. The rewards are so slim I wouldn’t buy them for 60 gems.

@oliverfrancisToday’s DC was a 4-5-6 ending with this boss room:

As usual rounds 1 and 2 are easy, then round 3 demands near-perfect shots on the pre-boss rooms with preferably 1-2 birds/room to be able to get to the boss with a chance. Also there are a few magician pigs in round 3 so you have to take them out asap, which usually means getting them to teleport within your first shot so you don’t have to waste birds on them later.
I’ve yet to figure this room out. I always use 1 boss-only disposable bird to take out the fireman + screwdriver pigs in one shot just to get them out of the way. Getting the boss off his starting platform is awkward. If you manage that then the fans will blow him around the room for a bit until he lands (most likely) on the lower platform where you have to ram him with birds to get him into the fans again.
Sometimes he flies up and lands on the top platform, which happened on the attempt from the image; after a lucky shot with Chuck which took out the two special pigs and the balloons holding the boss up, the boss flew around a bit and then just gently landed on the top platform’s striped canopy thing, and of course I couldn’t hit him due to the fans top left fans, so I restarted.
If I beat it then I’ll update.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisWell I finally did it. After a pretty perfect run getting through the rooms before with only a few small mistakes, I got in with 4 birds, and still ended up buying 3 more which was just barely enough to keep smashing the boss off the bottom platform and back into the fans, eventually launching him into the black hole and tossing him out.
I really didn’t see this DC being doable without spending gems, as 5 rooms needing 2-3 birds each with a boss room at the end just isn’t possible unless everything goes absolutely perfectly. I don’t mind a challenge but we should at the very least be allowed some room for error, and not be expected to 1 or 2 shot each room.

KPP first boss was this room:
Looks familiar? Yeah, it’s the same room I posted about last week, on page 41 of this thread. This one has an exit. The one last week the exit was blocked. Hence I could actually beat this room with little issue. Clear proof that there are impossible versions of certain boss rooms.Anyway the KPP was pretty easy and I didn’t spend gems on it, and got a free rare chest on top. Overall today wasn’t actually that bad, I got 3x Mighty Eagle from the DC rare chest and another 3 from the free rare chest from the KPP.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisAnother 4-5-6 DC with easy round 1 and 2, and ridiculous round 3 with magician pigs only multiple rooms that you have to get rid of quickly or you will be wasting birds on them. I thought I did well and still got to the boss room with only 2 birds. This room is easy but you need at least 3+ birds and some luck. Not sure if I’m going to be doing this one as I don’t want to spend gems 2 days in a row.

AggieGuy
@aggieguySame here, but can’t get past room 4. Just too many structures plus magician pigs.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisOk so today’s DC is literally impossible. As you said @aggieguy, room 4 is a joke, pigs spread all over the place with a magician pig that you have to force to teleport on your first shot. Then you have room 5 to deal with and it’s got 3 separate structures so you need at least 3+ birds to clear everything.
Then you have the boss room right after which I know takes at least 3+ birds and lots of waiting. You clear the boss’s starting area and get him onto the slide where he’ll just do laps, hit the platform for some damage and bounce back onto the slide, and you can just sit back while he slowly dies. For safety you need a few birds on standby as he sometimes lands safely on to the platform so you need to knock him back onto the slide. But with this nonsense DC that just isn’t possible.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisToday’s 4-5-6 DC ending with a simpler room for once. I did surprisingly well on the 3rd round on my first attempt and entered the boss room with 4 birds and a near full meter which gave me Terrence.

This room isn’t that bad. I took a gamble and threw Terrance down at the boss while he was airborne after coming out of the lower flower and managed to slam dunk him down the hole. Worth trying if you can time it right.
KPP was a 3-4-5, super easy until round 3 which I kept getting to the boss with just 3 or so birds, and it’s this room which you need at least 4+ just to be safe (screenshot isn’t mine). I used all my lives retrying it and even watched 3 extra live videos and still couldn’t beat it. Then I didn’t get any more videos so I had to wait for a life to refill and figured that would be my last attempt.

I somehow got the boss trapped in the left corner with my last bird so he was just repeatedly bouncing on the trampoline and hitting the ledge above him, so I hit fast forward so he would die quicker. Of course just as he was about to die the game throws me the continue screen, and since I can’t watch free bird videos anymore I was forced to pay gems just for the boss to die 2 seconds later. Complete nonsense. At least I got a 3x Might Eagle spell from the rare chest so not the worst case scenario.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisToday’s 4-5-6 DC with a blocked exit. This room is impossible especially with 3 or so birds, which I got after a good run. So that’s me done for today, no chance in hell I’m wasting any time trying to do this one.

Schweinvogel
@schweinvogeldifferent DC 4-4-5 for me, but also a gemsucker. I first thought it could be possible to send the boss with Stella or Silver to the right, but it’s not possible because of the rocks. Whatever I tried failed :( and so the boss always landed somewhere on the left and it needed at least 5-6 birds to kill him. I’m done for today.

AggieGuy
@aggieguySame DC as Twisted. One and done.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancisToday’s 4-5-6 with this boss room. I didn’t get a screenshot so I re-used my picture from page 40:

I used Bubbles because of the boost and it definitely made round 3 a bit easier. For the boss just be sure to clear the hole aswell as the middle platform first so that he doesn’t get stuck there. KPP was easy, with a free rare chest on my second attempt.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancis4-5-6 DC with a stupidly hard round 3, room 5 is full of birds and structures which takes at least 4+ birds to clear, conveniently crippling you right before the boss. After almost 10 retries I can’t ever get in with more that 2 birds, which is stupid because this boss is not that difficult when you have good amount of birds. Complete waste of time.

AggieGuy
@aggieguyI managed to beat it today by dumb luck. Got to the final room with 2 birds, Red and Bubbles. Red was able to knock the king pig down into the water, and Bubbles launched him into the flower. The black hole spun him around a couple of times and launched the pig up and to the left, which was enough to kill him.
The KPP was worthless. Could only get past round 1 twice, and could never beat round 2 due to every room needing multiple birds, especially due to all of the miner pigs, wrench throwers, snowball throwers, and tractor pigs. By the time you get to the final room, you don’t have enough birds to beat it. I could probably do it with 2 birds, Stella and Bomb, but just not possible to get there with both of them.
Buster
@doulgasI made it to that last DC room with 4 birds and a nearly-full lightning bolt. Still couldn’t get him into that flower, only into the valley where you have to pound him to death.
Twisted Lemon
@oliverfrancis4-5-6 DC ending with this room:

The first room on round 3 has a screwdriver pig (who can’t hit you so he’s useless) sat on top of a balloon that’s too high to hit directly so you need to preferably use Terrence to smash through all the structures and send debris up to take him out. If you don’t get rid of him right away then you’re better off just restarting as he’s almost impossible to hit even with specific birds, and since it’s round 3 you can’t afford to use more than 3 birds per room.
Eventually I had an ok run and got in with 2 birds + a free rare chest. I didn’t want to waste any more time retrying I just bought 3 extra birds and used them to kick the boss down the right side as I’d got him to the ramp with the 2 birds I entered with. KPP was easy.
AggieGuy
@aggieguyNever got past round 3, room 3 and just don’t have the desire to keep trying.
SteelCityB
@steelcitybEverything was exactly the same as Twisted. Thanks for the tip on the screwdriver pig…it got me through the level.
KPP is easy as long as you don’t get caught spectating. Be ready to shoot the 2nd bird in the early rooms because the power bar fills up very fast. You can get to the boss with 5-6 birds on all three levels.
SteelCityB
@steelcitybThe first 4-5-6 DC after the update feature a ridiculously hard boss level. The first room has floating micro pigs that need their own bird. Three birds to clear.
Each room has multiple structures and micro pigs. I made it through room 4 then ran out. The screen shot below is from the 2nd room. There are 2 micro pigs on the ice on the far right that you can’t even zoom or pan to see:
