Hi everybody!
@abgofast ~ as you are probably aware there are many months I’m not active on the mp. I stayed at abgoforit because you had trouble filling it and I loved being there.
Meanwhile, in last November I noticed that all my mp progress was gone and I didn’t had a team anymore even if there was a “ghost” of mine at abgoforit with all eggs intact. At December, 9th Liviu announced that the issue was communicated to the developers and that was it in terms of support from Rovio. The situation is the same right now with the difference that with last update my ghost disappeared from the team.
Till recently, just like @alcusto, I’ve been busy with the challenges and I managed to reach 50 on every single race of every track except Stunt. Although, for the moment I only open the game to get the daily and weekly bonus. For this last one I must compete with Veronika Koh (aka @platium ?).
I may return to doing challenges but probably not for competition at mp.
Given all the above it’s better, I think, to retire from the team. Please find an active racer to fill my spot!
(But can continue sending me updates, though. I love reading them! :) )

@mvnla2 ~ well… if the prize we get on the micro GP is always 1 LC it doesn’t make a big difference, anyway… But the reducing of free LC, on a general basis, that is very bad. Specially for a new player that still needs to buy expensive bird classes, set items, etc. .
I’m also really deceptioned with the lack of new content. I’ll not play much more if that doesn’t change soon. If it continues like this I’ll finish current Arena season and leave.
P.S.: I forgot to tell that I already got my first rainbow riot. I spent around 200 LC and got several set items including the new one that will be offered for free soon. The other ones I got were similar to those I already had. That’s why I’m confused about that display that opens clicking on the button to the right when you “open” the GP to bet. All shown there have improved stats:
* For a complete month, will some rewards of LC be more than 20?
* Will the rainbow riot occur every 7 days, every 8 days, or???
For reasons not worth loosing time explaining I have my Epic calendar advanced a few days so I can see the rewards for the whole month of August. It looks like this:
So, yes, rewards can be more than 20 LC. They increase each Sunday for every month starting with 5 LC and reaching 30 LC in a month with 4 Sundays. Following the shown progression logic, in a month with 5 Sundays they should reach 40 LC. If this forecast is correct you would get 105 LC on daily rewards for the whole month. 105 LC was the amount you could get in 3 weeks of daily GP, so the amount of free LC was significantly nerfed with this last game update.
About the rainbow riot it shows 2 times on my rewards map for August. First time was on the 4th day (supposed to be Thursday, I think…) and the following one 3 weeks later. Odds are increased 3 times on the first occasion and 5 times on the later one.
One of Red new set items is offered at the 18th, but the pair doesn’t show up (at least in August…).
BTW, next to GP there’s an icon that opens a display of all set items. All shown have stats that improve over the current best ones. Although, GP continues to offer the current best. Does somebody knows what’s the meaning and function (if there’s one) of that display? Is it purely informative or there’s more to it?

@corporaldaesn ~ hm… In mp I almost never left a race before the end. Besides, why would I do it if I was doing so well? Rovio must be using the data of a race where the game crashed to me and extrapolating beyond the point I actually raced based on what I had done before. If that’s the case they are representing me by a race that I actually didn’t (totally) do which is (obviously) wrong.
Perhaps they are finding it so hard to get opponents good enough for you that they must to resort to “ghosts in ghosts”. ;)

Oh my! Just noticed I’m really late on answers to some of your posts. Here’s more or less by chronological order:
@abgofast ~ Thanks for explaining what’s pez to me. I had already heard about it but had no idea about what it was. I also wonder how Alfredo, living in Europe, knows what it is.
For instructions on how to pass Air Track #3 “splat 40 fruits…” you have detailed instructions from @alcusto (I think…) a few pages back.
About “remove fruits bar in 40 s” in Sub Zero track 3, I passed it one time a few weeks ago but it costed me an obscene amount of gems. Now after discovering that this challenge reappears every 5 ones I’m not sure what I’ll do next time.
EDIT: passed it again today and it was almost easy. It was at the third try out and spent 112 gems (2 blowers + 2 turbo-Karts + 13 sp – could had saved 36 gems if I had waited till I had more ad-supported blowers and sp). 112 gems is a lot to spend in a challenge but it’s less than the 145 needed to buy the pass. This time I had Strike Out and it makes a difference for the Tracked Trekker I had previously. I have the idea that if you don’t have any accident and crash against the stone wall the other side of the 1st abyss to respawn further ahead it’s easy to accomplish. Both speed pu and 5 or 6 sp and that’s it. No big deal after all…
(Yes, you heard well… The returning cycle of 10 challenges you identified on Seedway and Rocky Road was reduced to 5 on Sub Zero. Another @#$%&-+? for Finnish anthem!)

@oldschool ~ Yes, 7 King Slings requirement is annoying! To avoid forgetting using the KSling I usually do everything else first. Then I concentrate on using the pu only even if that means 7 races with no other purpose. It’s better than forgetting and resetting the races counter losing both pu and time. Anyway, if you forgot the pu but restart the race the counter doesn’t reset.
@alcusto ~ you’re right! Air has many of the most difficult and boring of all challenges. Some are near insane as the track #3 ones that require the splatting of 40 fruits without steering of the splatting of 200 strawberries. But let’s not forget the Time Boom ones at track 1. I have near 30 done but from nearly missing 250 obstacles to pass 5 gates in a race + 50 overall plus destroying 100 ice obstacles while drifting it looked like “stations of the cross” (no #EDIT: heresy# intended…).
Congratulations again to all at the lead (Captain + @phoenix + @stevep + @janmej). Keep the good work!
Finally, who can explain to me how to avoid destroying Strike Out kart on the final ramps of Sub Zero track #3 race? I’ve been loosing many races because my fully upgrade kart #EDIT: with a blower# always desintegrates near the end.

@corporaldaesn ~ don’t expect any positive answer from Rovio CS regarding game policies because on that matter they limit themselves to a defense of the current position of the company. Rovio CS is good only to solve some technical issues. Apart from that Rovio CS serves as an “umbrella” that protects management from atempts of interference from users. This ocurrs because online there’s no “claims book”. So, by closing the door at CS they mute any eventual protesting voice.
What shall we do then? Only thinking outside the box you can find any possible way. But it’s not easy, anyway, because AB Go! doesn’t have a big and strong community.
Here are a few things you/we can do:
1- For issues that CS can solve but isn’t, phone them. Talking on the phone puts pressure on the other side because they can no longer shield behind some poor excuses or public relations blah blah.
2- If you aren’t happy with the game why don’t you revise the grade you gave on google play? If you give a 1, or a 2, star(s) grade it will barely impact the overall note of the app but you can be sure that someone at Rovio will pay attention. Probably CS itself will check. The point is that now you have the uperhand. PR hocus pocus will not be effective there.
Not to be confused with some “troll” it’s important that you explain clearly why you are giving so poor a grade. And don’t forget to mention how ineffective CS is. ;)
3- Try to find Rovio managers and developers emails and write them. A well written letter to the right person may have more impact than a million ones to CS.
4- mobilize your friends that are also players to write emails and reviews themselves.
5- Write a collective email or an open letter (there are online tools to do it…) or start a petition (also easy online…). It may be hard to get many signatures or to get attention from some media but we never know the result before trying.
6- Last but not the least, use social network tools. F. ex.: why not go to Rovio (not Angry Birds **** app) fb page and leave your complain there as a comment? Companies take great care with their public image and even more with their corporate image. A complaint on a fb game page may have impact on a certain gamer but one on Rovio itself fb page may impact a potential invester or partner.
These are some ideas on how to pass your point to Rovio not using the innefective CS but there are certainly much more.
Also, we, the members of ABGOFORIT, had some discussion about this matter some pages early on this thread and beyond me, I know that if you think about starting some collective action you can count with, at least, Ignacio (@nacho18), Jane (@janmej) and Mike (@abgofast).

Sometimes I use p-ups (blowers) on Sub-Zero and Rocky Road (just a few every day and all ad-sponsored…). If you find me using them on other tracks it’s Rovio manipulating my ghost. P!ease let me know if that’s the case.
My opinion is that only each player best time using no p-ups and a single special power should be used for ghosting. Each player could use p-ups/sps at will but the races done with them should not be replicated by the ghost.

@abgofast ~ What you describe is what happens to me if I try to acres mp being offline. But of course you aren’t offline since you are writing here in the forum.
EDIT: It seems the problem is a known one. I hope you’ll solve it fast…
@alcusto ~ I’m really impressed by your conquest of the hardest but doable achievement. Captain says he would need 3 tries to do it. To me, at least 30… So I’ll leave it undone for awhile.
And you made me wish I weren’t so lazy to write. I intended to comp!aint to CS about that challenge using as argument the fact that even the biggest specialists cannot do it. But no longer…
Captain must have been impressed too! He even named it a “may first”!…

The last kart I won on the weekly tournament was at February, 2nd. I need a few to progress on the challenges and it’s nice to know which ones you only get buying with gems. But that’s considering that I’ve been unlucky and will win some on the tournament in the future. If you cannot win them like that anymore, it’s the same…

@abgofast ~ That’s great, captain! Now to met your new goal I imagine that the biggest obstacle will be that “cute” requirement of 7 King Slings to pass a challenge on every one of your 41 track/race track combinations you “unlocked” today. If you use the ad-sponsored only it will take you 41 days…
(+@alcusto) ~ Also, many thanks for the tips on the Stunt challenges. It kind of stuns me that with over 1100 done I still have so much to learn. But that’s what keeps me interested. Anyway, you, my buddies are essential for my progress because you are my last resource. Without your help I would probably get stuck somewhere and eventually give it all up. So a really BIG THANK YOU to @all that have been helping me.
@BlueBear ~ Hi! You probably aren’t aware of it but I raced against you many times in single mp. And you are very hard to beat, buddy! Specially when your ghost uses p-ups and several sp. But don’t get me wrong for stating it. The great majority of the top players use them.
Also, great that you didn’t loose your eggs. That never happened to me but mine got scrambled a coup!e of times in the past. That’s not nice, too…

@phoenix6 ~ sorr buddy but the Jorge that has over 50k GE is the Brazilian one. Me, I have only 36k of them. BTW, it’s me who is late on the congratulations to you, @stevep and @janmej. 100k GE is a real achievement. You are true Champions!
Myself, I’m atm paying more attention to challenges than mp.
(@alcusto @platium @oldschool) The good news is that I managed to beat “win 3 races in a row without using boost pads” in track 3 of Rocky Road (racing). And the bad is that I have 6 challenges on Stunt that requires that I pass more time drifting than not and I have no idea on how to do it.
I had given up on that Rocky Road challenge but a few days ago I decided to retry it and finally figured it out. The key was realising that a King Sling doesn’t put you beyond the first boost pad. You must pass it on the dirt. Then, I used Chuck and a lot of sp.
Drifting most of the time on Stunt is difficult as search on this precise thread demonstrates. There are several complaints here registered. But tips are very few. Only found @abgofast stating that he made it on track 1, with Stella driving a Wall Magnet. If it was fully upgraded or not isn’t mentioned. I have mine all upgraded and I cannot get good results with it. And Stella is one of the worst birds to use. Is there some detail I’m missing?
The best of my karts to drift in Stunt is Point Breaker. But the best I done so far was only 42% (with Corporal Pig). And this was a really exceptional one because usually I don’t reach 40%…
And then there’s the challenge that may be really impossible. How do you clear the fruits bar in 40s in track 3 of Stunt? Even with all p-ups you need near 10s to reach the first fruits and after that they are distributed in small groups with significant intervals between them. My best in 40s is about half the bar. And it was with all p-ups and Hal sps at will…
Mike, I found two references of yours to this particular challenge. On the first one you state that you managed to clear the bar in 50s, and you conclude it might be doable. On the second you show reticences and scepticism. Do you remember if you ever passed it (by racing)?

Now seriously, I’m currently leading but 3rd place is good enough for me. It will require grinding, though, because 11 of my 14 opponents made it to diamond last season and 9 are already level 45.

@dj-hb ~ I don’t know your birds rank and the set items you have, but with rank 10 birds, a combo of Paladin (with Dragon Breath), Seadog (w. Sugar Rush) and Rain (w. Reborn) will make it all (except 15-10) easily. With other set items or less mastery it would be harder but certainly possible.

@strategia55 ~ After several failed attempts with different birds, I 3-starred cave 15 – 10 with Samurai (w. Grand Slam) + Princess (w. Sweet!) + Cannoneer (w. Sugar Rush) – all birds level 10. Princess will route Lawrence for Samurai and heal. Samurai will attack and protect himself using the shield. Finally, Cannoneer will attack and reduce Lawrence’s attack by 20%.

@nacho18 ~ I don’t play much team mp. Individual one gives less GEs but I win many more trophies there. As, fortunately, ABGOFORIT doesn’t need me to increase my GEs fast, usually I race individual. Even so, I’m already on top 100 so it goes well..
Although, from time to time I change to team mp (f. ex.: yesterday when @abgofast notified us that it was easy to win many GEs at that moment. Thanks Captain!). But I also get that stupid error message fairly often. When I’m able to race, my mates are almost always @stevep and the Captain.
And no, I don’t try to land on your head on the Air tracks, Mike. My sole intention is to launch timely and the further ahead I can, because you and Steve are very hard to beat and Air tracks are almost the only where I can win. Also, congratulations on your marks. Apart being a great player you’re truly passionate about the game. Rovio should be grateful for having users like you.
About the extensive use of p-ups and sp by the ghosts, as I wrote before, it’s the most despicable aspect of this game. And I know that, contrary to what it looks like, few, if any, of us, experienced players, use gems to improve performance. Me too, would like to see ghosts using a single sp and no p-ups. I think that would increase the popularity of the game and Rovio would get the same economic results, if not better, that way. Pity that they prefer otherwise.

EDIT – I cannot say that I’m enthusiastic about the update. All the negative aspects, including bugs, seem to remain and I have no idea where, or when, I can use the party feature. I may have to fly somewhere for it since this game is not popular here in Portugal.

I’m from ABGOFORIT too. My avatar is Freeman. I think I’m one of the weakest from my team because I have few expecience, few karts and seldom use p-ups (BTW, I totally agree with @oldschool above – to spend money to buy a performance you couldn’t achieve otherwise is stupid and even dangerous).

There’s about an hour I’m mplaying. Team mp says I need to be online and on single there’s no Air races. I guess Air must be closed for renovation. Any other ideas?
