Just so you guys know, the legendary chest is awesome after you have all the birds at max level. Without having feathers in the mix, the chest will give you either a full refund of gems (plus a little extra), 500 or 1000 black pearls, or an x10 hat and yes this includes the mythic ones.

Oh they overpower to level 25 if anyone’s still wondering. If I didn’t have a bajillion gems I wouldn’t be playing this game anymore.

Not entirely related but is this the first soft update where they pushed out less than 20 new stages? Seems like they’re more concerned about raising max card levels than content. Welcome to the post-1000 level slump, am I right? ?

That’s occasionally happened to me since the beginning of the arena. Don’t worry, you’ll be added to a group soon enough. Or you won’t, in which case you get first place free! Oh I didn’t notice you were in a group in the second picture. Weird.

My facebook connection still broke. Whatever bug I have, it’s tied to my game profile. :(

So with the new update now I can’t play anymore. The loading screen stops at “loading balancing.” I can start a new game and it’s fine. But if I sign into my rovio account to load my profile I get a “game update required” message (???) and the app crashes and I can’t get back into the game.

I guess all the bugs were leading to this anyway. Game over.

No. Sorry, I can’t even log IN to facebook unless I perform the procedure I detailed a few posts prior. NOW, even if I manage a log in, none of my friends are listed in-game. Just PIGGY FRIGGIN MCCOOL. I don’t even get essence or requests for essence from friends anymore.

Whelp now my previous method doesn’t work anymore; the game still thinks I’m logged into facebook and I can get my lucky coin from the calendar and ask friends for essence. But the only friend in my list now is friggin piggy mccool. I put in a support ticket but from what I’ve seen I doubt I’ll get any response. THANKS ROVIO. THANKS ZUCKERBERG.

The only fix I found so far.
Delete the app. Reinstall.
Play the first battle. Go to the nest.
Log in to Facebook. Log in to Rovio account.
This will only work once. After that you have to delete and reinstall the app again. I guess I’ll be doing this once a day *long sigh*

Amazing. These are bugs that are noticeable within minutes of launching the new update. I understand being pressed for time with this new event coming up so soon but geeze. The public should not be beta testers when it’ll probably take weeks to get this stuff fixed.

@cosmo2503 If it’s more than 200 usd then you beat me. Maybe rovio will put in the ability to exchange LC for new objectives. Then we can truly descend into the Mobage depth of pay to win.

@kerravon I put it together when I was playing Metal Gear Online. After than I’ve just been using it as a regular connector cable for my desktop. In order for it to be effective it needed to replace the cable between my modem and wifi router. I could have just unplugged and replugged the one already there but it’s really hard to reach and the switch has more slack.

It’s also possible that others have a crappy enough internet connection that they aren’t doing anything and still getting their objectives reset.

Anyway one solution would be to separate the arena login from the main game and add more checks and balances.

I just did it. Just now. Still works. I was just noticing certain patterns when I was getting reset objectives that indicated I was having issues connecting to rovio’ servers on their end while they were working on it. So I caused it to happen on my end. Same thing. And weird, online gaming is certainly a typical application for a lag switch. Although I suppose you could just unplug and replug cables and get the same effect.

If you want specifics you should google it. Mine is just a light switch I soldered into the middle of an Ethernet cord. It’s used to cut and restore the connection at the flip of a switch in order to induce lag time.

The point I’m trying to make however is that the arena is going to be full of ‘cheaters’ until rovio takes steps to prevent this.

I remembered I had a lag switch. So I played with it. I found it is possible to reset objectives and banners at any given moment. Lag when opening the app is the key.

While they were working on the servers I got my completed objectives reset again. But it turns out it also resets my losses for the day. I had one banner left and now I have three. Looks like your son is off the hook @kerravon

Yeah I suppose. When I made that post is when I got it to happen. But I think it could be anytime if I experiment with the memory usage on my phone. A lot of it seems to do with using cellular data as I can never get anything to happen on wifi. Probably because wifi is too stable of a connection.

And uh yeah no problem. I just couldn’t sleep last night

Ok so hoisted by own petard. I had the game suspended while in the arena lobby and was reading this thread. When I went back to the game I was the only one on the leaderboard. So big deal right? It happens, it probably didn’t load the others. So I went back to the map. The holiday event reset. Again. Then I went back to the arena. My leaderboard was populated again, however, my daily challenges were reset. Three new ones, I already completed the previous ones for today, and my score hasn’t changed. So it definitely happens and it is a server goof, not a pay to win thing. Submit a bug report to rovio or something. I’m winning this round :)

Edit: Finished the new ones and got them to reset again. Definitely a connection issue.
