So does the clan points work? Im guessing we are reset to zero daily? Also, what does the “promote” button do when viewing members? Im guessing only clan leaders can see it and promote people

No, there was an update, and they added on this clan thingy. You access it on the same page as the daily quests and the arena. Click on the lowest right icon to get to the clans.

That quests are difficult even if you bring in the full spell collection. Rewards are peanuts.
