@ixan57 if I’m not mistaken, the challenge you are referring to requires to get a wooden egg for the first star, a stone egg for the second one, and a gold egg for the third one… I hope this helps ;o)

PS: I finally got all the rewards several weeks ago (605 points); I’m still flinging in order to get the last challenge (birds that pop pigs) and am still at 8,400 out of 10,000 – I should be done with that in a couple of months… Anyone knows a level where I can give that a big push?

I hit gold and that’s enough for me. Roughly same strat; maybe try to get Telebird to immediately after the top left stuff and hope for debris to tear that one down, and Telebird and rest of debris on to the right hand structures… Also I haven’t tried, but maybe flinging another bird after all else is cleared to the bottom boxes and stuff would rack up more than the 10K bird-bonus points?

I still do the daily levels but not wasting any power-ups, and settle for wood or stone egg. And also need quests for the egg-points…

Wednesday level (Aug 23rd): Tropigal Paradise 1-11, got 4 stars with 235 k.

(Free) scope; Ala-kathy-bam; Telebird towards “DJ-pig” teleporting to surfer pigs; clean up with Stella (and Chuck) if needed.

I’ll keep playing till I get all the egg-points. After that, I might keep playing to stock up on coins and power-ups, but might not… Still need to finish AB:SW2 and don’t know if I’ll want to spend money on Falcons to finish AB:SW (not likely).

Oh, and there’s a new update to AB:O Might give the League another try… if they sorted out the glitches (I once reached the top 5 in the Master League, but did not get credit -stickers- for it, among other things; and lately it was not working well at all… not syncing with my account -even with a good data connection!-, and stuff like that)

I am at 9/25 for trophies and 295/500 for quests, which should get me to 605 egg-points. I’m also at 4605/10000 pig-popping birds, but those 5 egg-points won’t help me get the A Master of All Seasons reward…

Well, I did get credit for my gold trophy, so that’s confirmed: for the third star in the Rewarded challenge, only gold and platinum trophies count. @kathy for the Egg Connoiseur (at least wooden egg) challenge, I think you get the credit on Friday, after the weekend level opens…

Hi,
regarding the trophies glitch: in my experience, even if the trophy does not “update” when you get a score over the threshold, the “system” still keeps track that you got it. It will update to the new trophy either as soon as you beat the level again (no matter the score), or on Monday after the trophy-weekend level is over. Even more: if the threshold ends being lower than your score, you will get the trophy although when you got the score the threshold was higher. And regarding different tablets or devices where you play, I think it doesn’t matter, the “system” keeps track of your progress via your “logged-in” facebook account…

I’m not sure if I made much sense, let me try to clarify with examples:

– Threshold for Gold is at, for instance, 100K
– Threshold for Platinum is at, for instance, 150K
– I beat the level with 99K and get Silver
– I beat the level again with 149K but still get Silver
– I beat the level again with 80K, I get updated to Gold (my best is still 149K)
– Threshold for Platinum drops to 148K
– Weekend ends and I check what I got: I get updated to Platinum (my best, 149K, is over the final threshold of 148K)

I’ve seen this happen to me several times, so I’m pretty sure it’s the way the “glitch” works… So, if you beat a threshold but don’t see the updated trophy, just try to beat the level again, no matter how low the score you get, and you should see the proper, updated trophy. Or simply wait till Monday.

Regarding the trophies challenge, I’ve confirmed that for the second star, bronze trophies don’t count, and for the third star, silver trophies don’t count either, so you’ll need a lot of gold (or platinum) trophies to finish the third star in this challenge.

And regarding the rewards for different eggs, I’ve noticed there’s a big difference between wooden and stone egg (at least in terms of shockwaves and telebirds which, to me, are the most interesting reward). I guess it might vary with the week, and maybe also with the amount of the power-ups one already has…

hahah, it’s actually a bit more “gangstery”, @kathy but yeah, I really like blues! Love Gary Moore (both his blues-y and his metal-, guitar-hero-y aspects)!

And yes, Telebird is hard-to-handle. It took me a long time to actually be able to do anything with it, didn’t know where to tap, how to slide… :-S

For me, this week’s will be the last Platinum I need, next week the last Wooden Egg, and then it’s just 20 more trophies and some 350 challenges (or close to 7 thousand pig-popping birds) to get the Master-of-all-seasons… (yep, I just started taking this seriously some months ago) xDDD

I guess the trick to get all choppers is to fling Telebird the closest you can to the first one before teleporting it slightly over the second chopper and activating it horizontally, so that falling debris hit the third chopper… But yeah, there are a few elusive piggies in this one…

Right now, Platinum Trophy is at 300600. My best guess at a strategy is Ala-Kathy-Bam, then Telebird to first chopper teleporting it to second to try to take both second and third choppers out and, with any luck, that’ll be it, so queue shockwave for an additional 10k bonus…

…and #49 is now at 315k-something. =D

PS: no need for a one-birder, if enough points racked, can actually get Platinum after using shockwave and a couple more birds if an elusive pig gives you trouble.

so… after being stuck in the low 330k’s for a while, and burning through more shockwaves than I’d have liked, I finally got platinum, thanks for the tips!

@knichy I know about the wait-till-Monday to get credited for the get-a-trophy challenge; I noticed that after getting the first star in that one, bronze trophies no longer give you credit, and will try to verify if after the second star silver ones do or don’t. I’m guessing it may be similar to the get-an-upgraded-egg-from-daily-levels challenge, where to get the third star I needed a golden egg and nothing else worked (and if I remember correctly, for the second star I needed a stone egg and for the first one a wooden one…)

couple of questions:

do you know if the threshold for 4 stars is fixed, or may it vary depending on what scores other players are achieving? I think this is the case with the different trophies, if I remember correctly I have seen it vary, not sure if raising if too many players are getting it, or lowering if you fail miserably time and again… Can anyone confirm this?

And regarding Challenges, the Rewarded (Get a Trophy from the Tournament) one, do you need a higher trophy depending on the number of stars you already got in this challenge? I think that at first any trophy counted; when I had one star I would bet that bronze trophies didn’t count towards this challenge. I now have two stars and am trying to confirm whether bronze and silver trophies count or not. If not, 25 gold (or diamond) trophies seems quite a steep requirement!

PPS (edit): my two cents, though you probably already know this… To rack up more points, a possible strategy is to try to leave one pig standing so when you fail the level you get offered the possibility of buying 3 reds for 90 coins, then before throwing any of those call up telebird or shockwave, then call up the other one immediately after throwing the first. That way you can have 3 or even 4 extra remaining birds for bonus points!

@maiasatara I agree with you in that Rovio is not going the right direction with the latest updates… However, I think there is a misconception about the hearts here:

For each of the Pig Challenge Mon-Thu levels, you have 3 hearts available (something like 3 “lives”); each time you fail the level (or each time you complete the level but don’t beat your previous score) you lose one of those hearts. If you run out of hearts, you can always get more by viewing videos or spending in-game coins.
