Thoughts on the update

Update updates:

the chest card draw appears not biased – I have drawn the max award several times.

This week the opponent matching and scoring is downhill. Playing 4 spells (no ME) and there are times I can barely crack 10M. Opponents arent having much luck either.

I upgraded 5 of my 7 birds to +4 pirate hats, let’s see if it helps. Rovio continues to match me with ‘opponents’ -20 points less than me but with all +4 hats, makes you wonder.

I broke down and spent 60 gems on the 2nd stage of KPP after a hour of trying…I hate this update

Update is mixed – there is a chance of a really good reward in the half hourly free common chests, but KPP is way more difficult now even with only three levels. Silver seems to have the same power it always had. And I complained to Rovio about having 250 gems instantly taken if you accidently hit the ToF icon during an off time, ’cause in general if you don’t want to lose gems, it’s best to exit after two or three wins in the first level – pigs are more frequent than ever ;)

I like the new KPC. It shouldn’t be a dawdle – and it isn’t. Much preferred to the massive time sink the previous 5-level format represented, even though I could usually prevail on that in the past. The BPs rewards are pretty worthless given you can just luck out on common chests, but the chests giving out hats is worth it as I’ve not bought the newly released ones yet. Except, of course, when you win hats from those chests it doesn’t actually work!

The new KPC/KPP format should allow you to stop and restart legitimately 1 level at a time. Offer smaller intermediate rewards and a big one if you get pass all of them.

In the old days of 5 levels you can power thru the 1st 4 by bring your collections of spells. With the current 3 levels of King Pig, it all comes down to which King Pig layouts and what birds you have, along with what the random layout generator gives you in the pre-King Pig rooms. Not exactly fair for a fixed layout/style game like AB2 as opposed to full fledge online games vs live opponents.

In my younger days of 30 years ago. I managed to record daily high scores in the local arcade for the old arcade game called Bubble Bobble. How? I remembered how the levels are set up and what I need to do to get thru them. With old AB games you can do that. But AB2 have random level setups!!

@scooterbug I am glad I am not the only noob for today. I gave up after the 3rd try stopped at 2nd level.

I refuse to pay gem unless I can get to the final King Pig room and see a decent chance of getting it done.

I got to the last boss of the KPC twice today. Thought I had him the second time so threw 60 gems his way. Still didn’t die. That was enough of that. I really don’t put much effort into the KPC anymore.

I liked the green slimy kp levels…sometimes strange things happen at slippery roads the king get killed by himself.

@desperados Be quiet. Otherwise they are going to put in the “fan specials” along with certain “water worlds”. Those are grand nightmares in some layouts.

lol daily challenge always give you the same levels bored of seeing same ones…now king pig levels are unique at everyday so it’s interesting even when you are not capable of winning some without using gems.

Chili pepper seems to be a lot more ‘random’ and useful… In the past it almost always chose the most useless pig, now it is a lot more useful.

I like the new update. I say, Well Done! The 3 Chests, Common, Rare, Legendary – Great Idea. I actually selected a 500 Black Pearl card yesterday to my great surprise. That’s fun! More prizes more easily acquired. New Hat Set. All good.

I think Silver is more powerful, certainly in my Game. But the Blizzard has only shown me something earthshaking once. All of other times, a block or 2 of ice fall … not much different there so far.

It seems like the crashing problem after DC and then losing the Black Pearls has been fixed, at least in my Game. KPP, well, I’ve abandoned it. When the Game puts a target on my back and I know I have to pay to play, no other way. Well, not for me.

I liked the Tower before and still like the Tower. Maybe I just have good luck with that one, but I have made it to floor 15 or 20 and only selected 1 or 2 Pigs quite a few times. Still fun.

I’m still having problems on the Trail. The Game often crashes when I complete a level and try to return to the World Map. Sometimes I have to replay the Level, sometime not. But I do have to restart the App about half the time. That was happening before, so for me, that problem is not yet solved.

I noticed a Silver change. She killed the boss with 1 hit.

One good change about the update is that can claim your daily feathers at the start of a new day instead of having to wait 24 hours from the last time you claimed the daily feathers

Another good change is that in the arena, you collect feathers for the same bird entire day instead of it’s switching to another bird randomly in evening. At least that’s how it was in the United States

I don’t know whether this actually happened with the last update, though I think it happened yesterday with the new card level: did you also realise that alls the gems are more expensive now?
Now the bigget chest with 13.000 gems is not longer 99,99€, but 109,99€. Everything else got more expensive in a similar percentage.

Today my gem letter went out and I just thought about a new one, but it’s no longer 10€, its 12€… no, thanks.
They introduced the bonus coins system to give you additional rewards and now they raised the prices? Very nice.

As the New Levels are added to the World Map, that portion of AB2 seems increasingly less stable. After this Easter update it has become problematic in my download to play the new Levels. I cannot count on finishing the Level without the Game crashing. If I do finish, I cannot count on being able to return to the Map to play the next level without the interruption of a crash. Sometimes there is a crash after I select the World Map to play the new Levels. There has been no remedy for this problem to date, but rather it grows worse.

yes jo-ha for me every thing is more expensive now..oh yeah lol from now on i don’t think to spend a penny for this game…sorry to hear that ktcain i hope you find a solution to that…pc version have been the stable for me for years thought.

FYI the update is out on the respective app stores (as of a couple of hours ago)…

Lady of infinities appears to have returned in certain circumstances….

3 new hat sets and they are reasonably priced for a change.

Still nothing seems to be giving blizzards (other than the occasional gift from friends), so I imagine everyone will run out of them in the coming months.

New “feats” tab to get additional gems, pearls, feathers etc by completing certain quests.

There is also a new area under the daily challenge but you can’t access it yet as it is marked as coming soon.

I am sure there is more, but that’s the main things atm.

Wow, completing those “little challenges” is really paying of.

I just claimed several bonusses for past achievements and got like 40-50.000 feathers at least and a legendary chest. This was actually nice. Now it’s really worth playing to complete those challenges.

The hats come for 100 BP (fruit hats), 500 BP (sport hats) and 1000 BP (Pharao hats).

 

Edit @hank: after buying the new hat sets, the challenges didn’t realize, that I upgraded my slingshot higher than 20 and didn’t grant me the reward. First bug. (FYI: this is about 15.000 feathers…)
My Facebook friendslist is empty – even though I have friends and can receive gifts, I cannot send gifts. Second bug.
My games crashed twice after buying the hats. Now it works. Third bug.

On another side note: I am now in a arena tournament with only one active player and he has twice the stars I have. Yesterday I was at first place…

Same thing happened to me !

I bought all three new hat sets but the feats haven’t registered it, so I’m still at level 19!!!

I’d really like the 15000 feathers reward… :( :( :(

Love the new update, feats are somewhat what I had in mind for harder daily challenges! More like the trophies we have for the android gaming area, it’s awesome!

Also I’m also now with new arena mates as well, no one crazy at least.
