@kelani@kimberlini Your post was caught by the system and required moderator approval. It had nothing to do with anything you said. Sorry about that. It’s posted now :)

@kelani@kerravon Nicely said up there. Just a FYI, a few of us (myself included) are night owls, and since we’re located on both US coasts, we usually manage to keep an eye on things during those hours when normal people are asleep. :)
@partshade ABN is a target mostly because we’re a large site. Spammers want to reach the most people, so they look for large forums like this. Additionally, they favor sites which have less-robust spam protection. Our lack of a Report/Flag option is definitely something that would be noticed. I hope something like that can be added.
As far as allowing members to moderate, guess I’m the minority, because I’m a huge fan. I allowed members to moderate on every site I created. Their assistance was an enormous time-saver for the admins. I personally found it was easy to tell which members were right for the job. The trustworthy/helpful ones who have the site’s best interests at heart seem to stand out from the crowd. As long as the rules were clearly defined, and they weren’t given too much power, they did an excellent job. Aside from the rare post which shouldn’t have been moderated, (but could have gone either way), I never had any problems using members in this capacity. Just my 0.02

@kelaniI recommend the silicone tipped stylii, if you can find them. They last longer, and seem to be a bit more precise.

@kelaniWas there ever an answer as to why some people on older devices see the mirror levels as no-grey?
Kelani
@kelaniYou can contact Rovio Support here: http://www.rovio.com/en/about-us/contact
Kelani
@kelaniThis is exactly why PC users love that platform :) Mouse is more precise, and a huge screen makes everything (especially micro-adjusting aiming) sooo much better.

@kelani@dtrain “Platform-cursed levels” is a pet project of mine. For months, I’ve been collecting levels where one platform (or platforms) has some kind of scoring disadvantage. I plan to make all of this public, and allow members to submit candidate levels where they feel some kind of inequality exists. Since these levels are rare, it’s not like there’s one platform that will consistently score higher on every AB level. Only when all of the data is available can we know if there’s a platform with fewer cursed levels than the others.
Based on what I have so far, though, there seem to be more PC-cursed levels than iOS or Android. This isn’t accurate, though, because I play/test on PC and to a lesser extent, iOS, so I just don’t have enough reports for iOS/Android to say for sure.
What I do know: Every AB game has some cursed levels which affect each platform. Nobody’s immune from it.

@kelani@barbbjb No need to hang your head. I just wasn’t clear about it :) Yes, I meant your Windows username. If you go to C:\Users you should see a list of folders, one for each user that has an account on that computer. Mine has:
Administrator
All Users (shortcut)
Default
Default User (shortcut)
Kelani
PublicSo, the folder I’d use is Kelani. :)
Kelani
@kelani@barbbjb Don’t worry, it’s pretty easy to save those data files.
On Windows 7, they are located here:
C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\Rovio
Each game you’ve installed creates a subfolder with that game’s title in the Rovio folder. Your data files are in each of those subfolders. Note: Some of those subfolders may also have subfolders inside them. It shouldnt’ matter, but when copying, make sure you get those too, just to be safe.
Now for the game installers, they are here:
C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\Rovio Entertainment Ltd
Again, each game has its own folder, and the installer will be nested a few subfolders down, ex:
C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\Rovio Entertainment Ltd\Angry Birds 4.0.0\installBBDA25\AngryBirdsClassic_4.0.0_PRODUCTIONCLOUD_rovio_DISTRIBUTION.msi
AngryBirdsClassic_4.0.0_PRODUCTIONCLOUD_rovio_DISTRIBUTION.msi is the Angry Birds 4.0.0 installer. You should be able to double-click that to run setup. It may reinstall, or if the game is properly installed, recreate the game icons on your desktop/start menu.
So, just have the tech copy the entire contents of both Rovio and Rovio Entertainment Ltd. folders somewhere safe. The OS reinstall may make your computer “forget” the games are installed, but shouldn’t harm your data files. If it does, just copy both folders into the identical location, and overwrite any existing contents.
let me know if any of that’s confusing. Good luck! :)

@kelani@penguinpaw They’ve ended PC support and removed the download links, so unless you can find a copy somewhere, PC is out. But these tiles existed on PC:
AB Original
AB Rio
AB Space
AB Seasons
AB Star Wars
AB Star Wars II
Bad Piggies
AB Friends (Not sure about that one)

@kelani@ormtmom I may be mis-remembering my own purchase, but when I bought it for PC, I’m pretty sure I had to buy the key, then was taken to the download area. But what @sntrooper says is true. PC games are no longer for sale.
Just curious, when did you download the game? That probably shouldn’t be available online still.

@kelaniI’m all for removing the resize button, and the permanent disabling of powerups. Both of those are simple features that would be easy to implement.
Removing the PU animation would involve much more work, and while I can totally see how it would be a good thing, and I hope it happens for you guys, I’m thinking it’d be a tough sell to convince Rovio that it’s a big enough problem to justify the time and expense involved in implementing it.
From what I’ve seen, Rovio, and most app makers like keeping the options to a minimum. I’m not sure if that’s a corporate thing, or encouraged by Apple, or what.

@kelani@flying-falcon I think you just got an auto-reply stating that a ticket has been opened. You shouldn’t have to do anything at this point. I’d give them a few days (it is a holiday, after all) to address your issue, then if no answer, reply to that email and let them know you’ve been waiting.
The comment author was not signed in, I think is just saying that you weren’t signed in to Rovio’s site when you sent the email. I wouldn’t worry about that.
Feel free to post the email here if you’d like us to take a look at it.
Kelani
@kelani@bad-piggies-2 Thanks for the quick reply. I figured that’s what it was. Ah well, after all the quality flinging time I’ve gotten out of these older games, I guess tossing Rovio a few more bucks isn’t such a bad thing. :)
Thanks again!
Kelani
@kelaniThanks for the votes guys :o). I’m honored!
Kelani
@kelani@e-star Yay, I finally get to cast some kelvotes on these :)
#1 @Nearxos (I want that DSOTM Bird as a T-shirt like, RIGHT NOW)
#2 @Bernersenn
#3 @Stocktoad (5)Luck++ to all the candidates :)

@kelaniThis tutorial for Android backup should explain it. The process should be similar, only the data file locations (and possibly names) will be different than the examples listed in the guide.
How to Back Up Angry Birds Progress on Android (Rooted and Non-Rooted)
Kelani
@kelani@miss-izzi-girl Wish I had an answer for you, but this is all Rovio’s site says:
Q: Why do I not see the Rovio Account icon on the title screen of Angry Birds Go!?
A: Although we would like for Rovio Account to be available on all devices, we have noticed that some devices have trouble with this feature. The Rovio Account icon will not appear in Angry Birds Go! on devices on which Rovio Account is not available.I saw you’ve had issues with losing your progress, and have contacted Rovio, but gotten no reply. Have you tried creating a support ticket? You should always get a reply if you do that. You can do that here: I’d also try asking them when or if that feature will be available for your device. Sometimes they have info that the rest of us don’t know about yet.
You can open a support ticket here: http://www.rovio.com/en/about-us/contact
Kelani
@kelaniHopefully someone who knows that device will reply, but if you’ve tried the usual steps of powering the device off, or making sure all other apps are closed, I’d consider opening a support ticket with Rovio. They may know some device-specific info that can help you out.
You can do that here: http://www.rovio.com/en/about-us/contact

@kelaniI’m all about the bacon, but those pancakes were just awesome. :D
Kelani
@kelaniAwesome, glad to know it worked well. I’m going to try to make a tutorial this weekend.
Kelani
@kelaniThe pic of the red velvet pancakes she sent me from that cafe wasn’t too bad, either :)
