My suspicion is that the league you are in only really exists for you. The scores of the other players are really their scores, but each player has their own table and and cross overs are just chance. When some of the guys here did that experiment trying to get into a nesters league with each other, was there any success?

It’s possible to lower your score via save game hacking. No idea if that’s the case here though.

@larry I hope you are right about the arena scores. However, the game save format doesn’t look to have changed, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see hacked birds/banners still.

@londojowo I don’t think this update eliminates any cheats apart from the most common/easy/annoying one – resetting objectives. So I think you’ll still see cheaters occasionally, but it should be a lot less often.

@kama3838 – glad it worked for you :). Keeping the boss perma-stunned is indeed the idea, and the nightmare set deals a ton of bonus damage for you then. Matilda princesses are a side effect of arena mode – seems a lot of people favour princess in this mode.

Have you tried grand slam set samurai, lightning bird and nightmare set Matilda?
This is my goto lineup for these bosses, also consider using potions to make sure you have full health at the end (and rage cakes to kill him quicker for that matter)

@partshade well my fave setup is actually blessed set (+20% health and resistance is just so strong and more reliable than effects that are just a chance of something) then it’s Chuck and blues with their resurrection sets. Usually bomb makes up the 3. For classes Chuck is usually lightning bird, bomb sea dog, blue spies. It can be wizard berzerker rogues or some combination of that dependant on enemy setup. With this banner and bird sets you have a chance to lose the toss and still have a chance. When the daily objectives require marksmen, I usually complement with samurai and cannoneer for insane multiple hit bonuses. You can really rinse a banner with this combo :-)

Nice work! I tend toward brute force myself as it’s so effective when you win the toss, but some of these setups are fun to use and annoying to face.

Well, it shouldn’t be especially difficult. They obviously just hadn’t thought about cheating before adding pvp. Now that pvp has revealed there are numerous exploits they are stepping back and thinking about how best to put a stop to them and making sure not to add any new ones! It’s probably going to be too late for this season of pvp, it pretty much already is.

What I find strange is that the exploit to reset your arena objectives and the daily pig (which there is ample information on this forum to guess what it is, that’s how I found out what it was) doesn’t let you go in the daily dungeon a second time, or the next day’s dungeon. So if they just applied the same system they do to dungeons it would be fixed. The next thing they’d need to sort out then is save game hacking. I imagine that is being done a lot less than the objective resets but any undergraduate computer science student ought to be capable of it, they need to make that harder.

I’m sure the soft launch version will eventually become the full release version. By rolling out fixes to the soft launch player base, they get a level of stress testing on the bug fix versions that you simply cannot emulate in house.

I’ve got 2 & even 3 stars on the cave bosses but only ever 1 star on the regular 10 wave cave levels. I think they’ve got the balance a bit wrong. I hope they tweak it before full release.

I’m experiencing bug 1) from @engry on the latest version. also

When I go to my friends list on the totem pole it just
has lots of blank bars saying “Loading”. If I press them it says I cannot view friends at this time. I get the same “Loading” thing on the list of birds to borrow for dungeons, so I can’t borrow any now. Seeing as I’ve only got caves left to do, this is a game ending issue :(.

Yes I press that every time it says I can. It then says “Messages Sent” but I never receive any essence, or messages requesting it for that matter. I’ve asked for help with friendship gates and nothing. Using other peoples birds, it says that will reward both of us with essence but it doesn’t. Feel like I’m missing out on a significant part of the game :(

Ok, I’ve got tons of friends now, and I can use their birds in dungeons and caves, but I never get any friendship essence :(
And nobody ever helps me open friendship gates, something seems to be wrong.
Has anybody else experienced this and fixed it?
