    I’m still here “listening.” Thanks to @BLtea53 and @nitro among many others for coaching and welcoming new members to ABF Pro Strat Group on FB via Nest. Your patience will be well-rewarded :) In the meantime, don’t forsake your presence and participation here on the Nest. The more who participate and post comments, pics, videos, or strats, and SHARE, then the more fun for you as well as for your AB Friends. As for joining the ABF Pro Strat Group on FB, remember the old adage: “When all else fails, follow the instructions.” Happy Flinging and have fun–enjoy! –MB :)

    Help me help him on the fast track to build a substantial bank of bird coins with plenty of friends. Thanks!

    @hapstrip You may need to delete your ABF app then reinstall and follow the instructions I listed previously. Ask @nitro He knows more about this than I do. Sorry you’re having difficulties.

    @dseufert

    @hapstrip Log off of the ABF app, then log off of your FB account in any open browser window. Log onto FB with another user ID/PW, then log back onto the ABF app using the same ID/PW, if asked. Hope this helps. –MB :)

    @speedyt Thank you for the accolades. I’m glad it worked out for you. Nitro deserves all the credit. I have trusted him for many years to help me, too. Add him to your friend list on FB. Me, too. Cheers! –MB :)

    @wrw01 Welcome to the FB group! You’re entering the realm of the best ABF players on the Planet, both PU and non-PU. Competition is fierce, but a really strong group of really nice friends from all over the whole world. Scores don’t really matter, but the social interaction is probably most important.

    Like Nitro mentioned, it can be overwhelming at first. Read the pinned posts on FB at the top of the group’s website, then re-read them several times more. Need more help? Ask me or Nitro or TerribleTom or many other veteran Nester’s.

    Thanks, D @nitro for your help, as always. –MB :)

    LOL to all the input recently! :) To answer someone’s recent question… How many bird coins do you really need?…

    At one time previously, I “spent” on average about 13k “freebie” bird coins per week on power-ups. That’s a lot compared to a new player! Really scary for a newcomer with few friends in the beginning. That amount has become less per week as I’ve settled into my own “groove” with about 600 friends.

    The fun in the pro FB group is the new friends you’ll meet and make on an international scale without boundaries, not how well you may score. I’d rather have a new friend from wherever than the highest score :)

    Same on the Nest. It’s much more fun to make a new friend and chat, than merely posting a high score without sharing a strat or posting a comment.

    I’m from Southern California (USA). Two of my best ABF friends (members of both Nest and pro FB group) are from Ontario (Canada). Although we’ve never met in-person, we chat on the telephone for 30-45 minutes at least once per month.

    Once you get past the anxiety and “need” to get top score, the anguish of cheaters and expensive bird coins by Rovio, then you can finally and truly enjoy the game by making many new friends around the globe.

    It’s Angry Bird FRIENDS, afterall. Thanks to Rovio and ABF, I have many new friends from all over planet Earth who speak a variety of languages (Google Translator comes in handy). I think I may have a couple of AB Friends from Mars, too :)

    Enjoy! –MB :)

    Hi Alan @alan-leon-wautier Just to clarify, I am not a site administrator on the Nest or on our FB pro group. I am a “volunteer moderator” on the Nest for AB Friends and its forum only. I have no official capacity as admin or any other authority on either the Nest or the FB pro group. Thanks for the support, though. Hope you’re enjoying both groups. Happy New Year! –MB :)

    @finn-finnsen The pro group of veteran players on Facebook is completely separate from the Nest. Everyone is encouraged to play in both groups. The Nest is a great place for beginners and occasional players. The more serious, advanced players usually play everyday, often for hours, with seemingly unlimited power-ups. The more friends you have on Facebook, the more bird coins you’ll gift and collect. Many of the pro players have a bank of millions of bird coins gifted and collected from fellow friends of the group, which allows them to use a seemingly endless supply of bird coins on power-ups. Although quite fun and friendly, the competition in the pro group on FB is fierce! I’m lucky to be in the top 100 on each tournament. But I don’t care too much about high scores. I like the new friends I’ve made and become acquainted in the last three years or so as a member of the pro group. –MB :)

    Mr. Birds’ new wife ;)

    Over two years of some really, Really, REALLY valuable information and yet still some people prefer to b*tch and complain without comprehension. Oh, well. “Stupid is as stupid does.” Forrest Gump’s mom ;)

    @welshwitch55 Hang in there! The silly game is still fun! Just like Coca-Cola made a giant boo-boo by altering their original Coke formula costing them millions, so Rovio may have made a similar major boo-boo :) They’ll eventually fix it. In the meantime, Rovio has indeed “authorized” the gifting and collection of bird coins and power ups. In this post are simple instructions on how you can collect gifts, too. Fully sanctioned and approved by Rovio for over two years. Follow the instructions at the very top of this forum-thread :)

    @alan-leon-wautier I’m hoping that this new forum format will be long-term. Sal diligently put in a lot of time each week programming code for two tournaments. However, with participation dwindling, it was decided to discontinue. I’m a little rusty on writing code since it’s been a few years since I did any HTML encoding. Am hoping to create a template soon that can be easily copy/pasted into the forum for each of the six levels twice per week for the two tournaments. Please continue to check the AB Friends forum. Thanks! –MB :)

    @michaelhw Compeition in the pro group on FB is intense. Some of the best players in the whole world are members who posts videos and pics of their strats regularly. Hang in there and learn from the pros! –MB :)

    @seldov @pamphillips Once you’re in the “pro group” on FB, look for the pinned post that gives you tips on the best collection strategies. Also, be sure to add your name as a new member (another pinned post) so that current members may send you friend requests on FB. It may take several weeks–and a lot of patience–to build your list of friends and regular gifters to at least 300. Then you can begin to start raking in a lot of bird coins following the posted strategy for collecting. If you’re currently collecting every day and not waiting at least two weeks, then you haven’t read the tips on collection strategies :)

    @michaelhw Avoid any group on FB that is open or otherwise says “Add Me.” These are fake groups made of cheaters who use hack software as you have indicated. Many of us vets went through the same thing :) No worries. Just delete or remove yourself from those groups. Send a friend request on FB to Belinda and her husband, John, and wait for a week or longer. They’ll get back to you eventually with instructions for new members in the closed group. Find John “Jailbird” Thompson on Belinda’s list of friends. It’s made hard on purpose. If you should be accepted into the group, the competition is fierce! But you’ll have tons of friends with whom you can exchange daily gifts. That’s how you get the freebie bird coins instead of buying them. Look for a previous link to Belinda above. Or, give me a couple of minutes to find Belinda’s FB link…. Again.

    Makin Bakin
    @dseufert

    @euge1 Once you’re in the FB secret group, I no longer habe authority. Read the pinned posts and instructions for new members to the group. If you need help, ask Belinda or John or others moderators of the group directly. They will help you. Also, tell them your first language. There are members worldwide that can help in most languages.

    Happy Flinging!
