Dragynox@dragynoxI was able to get past this after my TF finished upgrading.
Dragynox@dragynoxYep. Same with me since the update. If I put my phone in airplane mode, I can play the game, but as soon as I put it back on wifi the updating progress bug returns and all progress made while in airplane mode is gone.
Dragynox@dragynoxI see that you’re on one of the special Angry Birds 2 promotional nodes with the 25 second Optimus Prime buddy. Does it only happen when you’re running these promotional nodes?
Dragynox@dragynoxI was able to get to the screen this time that shows the rankings. I didn’t have to enter a nickname this time around.

I’m trying to join the new competition, but I cannot. When I click the competition button on the home screen I play the node with Nemisis Prime, but I am never asked to enter a nickname and begin the competition.
Dragynox@dragynoxI’m obviously playing too much! We must have been organized into groups of 20, and each grouping has the same prizes. The second place person in my group has 1214 pumpkins.

Dragynox@dragynoxI just turned it into airplane mode and tried restarting. It didn’t load that way, but then I turned WiFi back on and it started up.
But now my silo is back to the way it was yesterday, except that it is mostly empty. Upgrade costs are back up too.

Dragynox@dragynoxI haven’t seen splash screen for about 4 weeks. It just rotates the screen, turns black, and then back to the home screen again.

Dragynox@dragynoxThis is exactly my issue also. I’m around rank 300. I haven’t been able to play for almost 3 weeks due to this. Rovio has been no help so far.
I’m just thinking I should find something more useful to do with the time I spent playing anyway now.
Dragynox@dragynoxOh! I thought this was my problem also. But with the upgrade loop you can still play. I wasn’t reading closely enough.
I assumed that it was the same problem because I received the same message from support about a server side fix as others had posted.
Makes me wonder if support even understand that there are two problems. I’m not sure how much longer in going to wait.

Dragynox@dragynoxI have not been able to play the game for a week because of this. I could play for a while after the update, then I spent the weekend in a cabin with no cell or wifi connection. I tried to play the game a little. When I started it I received the message to please check my internet connection and try again. At that point the game was unresponsive, and I had to force stop it to close.
Now whenever I try to launch the game, I can see the screen rotate to portrate, go black for a few moments, then it returns to the home screen from which I tried to launch the game. I don’t even get to the splash screen. I have little faith the game will ever work again for me.
