@arceemega@eugene-alex just be sure to update your ticket with CS with the screenshots I mentioned when you get a second (before the end of today’s event preferably), as the more information we have, the easier it will be to track down any potential issues.

@arceemega@franciscrawford Look (very) closely at the image of the pigs you’re meant to be shooting. Look for them in battle. There are quite a few different kinds of pigs.
arceemega
@arceemega@eugene-alex could you post current screenshots of both your main tournament screen and token shop as of right now?

@arceemegaJust to add a bit of confusion, I’ll try and clarify the leaderboard refresh FAQ entry:
The leaderboards don’t automatically refresh every 5 minutes, they currently only refresh when you either: 1. play a challenge event, 2. suspend and resume the app, or 3. reboot the app. (When you see the spinning blue icon on the challenge icon, that is basically what is happening)
The 5 minute thing is that the app won’t even attempt to get fresh leaderboard data, if it already has done so in the last 5 minutes. This is to prevent heavy server load.
arceemega
@arceemegaThere is a (less than ideal) 5 minute cooldown on fetching latest leaderboard information, to help alleviate the burden on the servers. So one guy could get 5 minute’s worth of runs in before you have a chance of noticing. Also note the leaderboard doesn’t refresh in real time at all, but after each event, just before the results screen and on boot.
So if you want a guaranteed win, make sure you have at least a lead of 5x the max score per run, (assuming a run takes at least 1 minute). In the current event, that would equate to ~300 lead.
arceemega
@arceemegaIn a word, yes. All the competitors in every event have always been real people, including Halloween, Christmas, and all more recent events. The only “fake” friends you ever see is when choosing a buddy when not logged into Facebook.
There is a 5 minute cooldown on how often you can see the latest leaderboard information though, which was added to increase server stability (so you may see people’s scores jump 2-3 event’s worth of score in one go).
arceemega
@arceemegaCurrently the leaderboards are 20 people per group, and fill up as soon as people get their first result. That’s it. So I suppose you could say that you are grouped chronologically, with other people who started the day’s competiton at more or less the same time.
arceemega
@arceemega@avip2u They are both currently exclusive to the competition, so once it ends, you won’t find them for gems. The jet pack fits on his arms slot, and reduces the heat up of the weapon (similar to Energon Grimlock’s sword). The medallion fits on his chest slot, and gives his weapon a lethal touch (similar effect to Bumbleebee’s exhaust).
So both exclusive, (for now).

@arceemegaThe “Cloud Load Confirm” checkbox enables a new screen that has been added recently, which will show you the details of the cloud save vs the local save, and prompt you to choose between the two when there are any disparities. It isn’t enabled by default, but if you are still having cloud loading issues, try enabling it. It will allow you to choose which save game to use, the cloud or the local one, and provide information on what each one contains. Note that this option will have no effect when cloud loading has been disabled, so re-enable that first if you want to try it out.

@arceemegaAs much as I enjoy playing with GBGL, he pretty much wrecked everything during December’s events, I used him exclusively and didn’t think twice. I for one am happy to see him nurfed, as every character should have a weakness. Perhaps its his health that should be decreased rather than his dps, to make him into more of a glass cannon.
arceemega
@arceemega@millforce2k No issue in leaving it disabling for now, the feature’s only purpose is to allow a save game to be cloud loaded between devices to keep them in sync.
I would highly recommend Facebook as its most reliable way of backing up your save game. Others have experienced complete progress loss by uninstalling the game whilst not being connected to Facebook.

@arceemegaFor Updating Your Progress glitch in 1.10.x, see workaround in image

arceemega
@arceemega@eugene-alex I completely understand your frustration, if you had to buy gems especially to get around this issue, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. I have tested this exact scenario on my device, and verified that both workarounds work though.
Boot Game: Use your device’s airplane mode setting, or access the barracks straight away from the splash screen
Workaround 1: Don’t have any characters upgrading until this issue is fixed.
Workaround 2: Turn off cloud loading (make sure this option gets saved, by collecting coins or playing a level.

arceemega
@arceemegaAs mentioned in the other thread, please avoid upgrading any characters at all until a proper workaround is found.
arceemega
@arceemegaAll I can suggest is to go into airplane mode, instant upgrade a character, or finish upgrading a character, then restart with airplane mode back off.
We think this is related to having a character upgrading whilst being online, so for the time being (until the next version comes out) please avoid upgrading any characters. Let us know in the comments below whether this stopgap solution helps, and sorry for the inconvenience.
arceemega
@arceemegaYou could also try, whilst in airplane mode, instant upgrade any character, or finish an active upgrade, to increase your rank number by 1, as this is the main number used when comparing saves.
arceemega
@arceemegaCan you upload screenshots of the state of your settings menu, and the popup you are getting, and the version number off the splash screen?
arceemega
@arceemegaClose the game
Turn on airplane mode on your device
Restart the game
Go to the settings page, (bottom left button, then the cog)
TAP the two blue circles at the bottom of the settings popup, to go to page 2
Uncheck ‘Enable cloud load’
Restart the game with airplane mode off as usualNote: This will disable your ability to play with two devices, and have them in sync. Your save game will still be backed up on Facebook cloud save.
arceemega
@arceemegaA new option has been added as a stopgap measure in the latest game client “Enable cloud load”
Disabling cloud load does exactly that, it prevents the game client from ever showing you the “updating your progress” dialog, and thus stops any kind of cloud load. When disabled, your local save will always overwrite whatever the cloud has, which when you only play on one device, is pretty much what you intended anyway.
I would advise only using this option if you are affected by this bug. Disabling cloud load will still save your progress to the cloud, but it will also prevent a legitimately better save from being loaded, for instance, if you play on two separate devices, and want to transfer progress between them.

@arceemegaFirsly definitely get in contact with Rovio customer support, so they can find your account details, and get direct support.
Next, confirm whether you are logged into Game Centre, or Facebook, as these are the things that will store your save game in the cloud. If you are confident that you have been using Facebook, then you can be reasonably confident that you can uninstall the app completely, then reinstall it, and log into Facebook on the initial splash screen, the settings cog, or the various prompts that popup during the first couple of levels, to have your game restored.
If all goes well, it should restart after loading your save game from the cloud. -
