    @sutekh137 I think you are right about it being something connected to the infrastructure of the device but I do not think it is the Snapdragon chipset that is the issue since I play on a Nexus 5 that have the Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset and that runs Epic fine. One M7 have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset and M8 have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.

    So then there is another sort of device that have the same issue with a totally different type of chipset: Exynos 5 Octa 5410. This may be a more complicated issue than I thought :-/

    So I have a blackberry passport and I got angry birds epic through the amazon app store. The game was working fine for a very long time. Just yesterday I went to open the app and it told me there was an update for the game and it pushed me over to the amazon app store to update. Once at the amazon app store there was no update button just the “open” button. If I hit the open button it brings me back to the game and then the same thing happens and I get sent back to the app store. Does anyone know how to update the game? Is this a problem with amazon or with angry birds? Did angry birds stop supporting blackberry passports?

    HTC One M7, same Problem at Loading Levels.
    Uninstalled, reinstalled, now its stuck at synchronizing version…

    Don’t tell my company’s IT department but I loaded Epic on my work Iphone 5s, just tough playing on a 4 inch screen vs a 5 inch screen.

    Still stuck at the Synchronizing version stage on my AT&T HTC One M8

    Are the other M7/M8 users on AT&T or is this all carriers?

    I had the same issue on my ASUS Memopad 7. So no, it isn’t just Blackberrys.

    I ended up just uninstalling Epic and reinstalling it from the Amazon App Store, because that IS 1.2.6 (it’s new but for whatever reason Amazon doesn’t see it as an update?). The good news is that Epic stores everything on the server, so you just need to play through the brief tutorial taps, then go to the nest and log in with your Rovio account. Everything should sync up and you are back in business…

    I still don’t understand why the Google Play store started saying Epic was incompatible, because after the brief hiatus from December to February, they got the Intel-chipset issues fixed and it runs fine again on my ASUS tablet.

    The problem here is that I never made a Rovio account only an amazon app store account. So if I uninstall and reinstall I will lose all my game progress I think. I really don’t want to lose my progress as I am very far in the game. Do you think there is any way around this?

    I have the same problem as @vogelwut. My friends disappeared after update to the newest verssion. Somebody knows how to solve this problem?

    Can you make a backup of the game? Is your device rooted such that you can use Titanium or MyBackup Pro to make a backup of the game? You can also use adb to make backups of data, but that involves hooking to a computer and running some more advanced commands (not sure what your level of comfort it on that…)

    I am not sure where your game is stored in this case — I thought one had to have a Rovio account to play the game and have it persist across sessions of running Epic… Perhaps someone else knows an easier way to make a backup? I can’t figure out why Amazon doesn’t show this particular new version as an upgrade, it’s super annoying.

    A backup of the game that’s a good idea I just have to find the file it’s stored in on my device. Any idea where this might be located. I appreciate all your help thank you

    I have the same problem as you @lodz I tried uninstalling rebooting and reinstall, still didn’t work :-(

    My friends can answer my requests for essence and I can theirs, and borrow my birds. But I cannot use theirs or see them :-(

    I’m seeing a new issue where none of my Facebook friends show up in my game. I’ve tried logging out and back in, closing and restarting the game, etc but nothing seems to work. Is it just me that sees this issue? Thanks.

    Ok, so I was playing the game in Eastern Sea. I attacked with the Black (berserker) bird and the white (Druid) bird. Suddenly, before I could attack the Pig (name forgotten) with the blue (rogues) bird, the PIG attacked (it began charging a 3-turn attack.)! I attacked with my blue bird (which was still usable for some reason, the other birds couldn’t attack, as it showed no blue ring around them to let me know that their attack wasn’t used yet). Then, the pig attacked AGAIN! (It continued to charge up its attack) And then it was my turn again. I have iOS 1.8.0. This had happened in an earlier Eastern Sea level (not sure which one) but I didn’t think much of it until now. None of the pigs in either of the battles had the counter status, which leads me to my next bug. In battle, the “Counter” buff animation (spikes) will NOT appear on certain Pigs/Birds that have it. Also, when at the map screen, if the blues have the bow with the blue and white striped arrow equipped, the arrow will float next to the bird at the map screen. This is all I know. I discovered these bugs sometime between 1 day to 5 weeks ago (I finally found the forum, our internet is worth dirt.) thank you!

    Hello it´s me again but i don´t know if the following is a bug…

    Again must say sorry for bad english school is long ago ^^

    So in PVP-Area the season 1 ended now…

    – I am a very new player of this game and i was in the wood-league
    – I reached rank 1 and got this stone-statue + a picture frame
    – I confirmed everything and got my price of this wheel
    – But now i am still in wood-league

    Is this normal that i am still in wood-league???

    Maybe some more experienced players know something about this if it´s normal to be in wood-league again when a new sesion starts…

    Another thing is:

    Now i am mixed with some other 14 players, some of them are lvl 11-19 and have a diamond picture-frame… could that be??? are this hackers or just rich kids?

    @chris-hund Everyone has been moved back to the wood league for the start of the second season.

    When you go into arena battles, your opponents are matched against your team based on your birds experience level and mastery ranks. So you should fight arena battles against opponents that you have a reasonable chance to beat. But this is not always the case, and opponents can have better weaponry and banner items.

    The players on your leaderboard also have similar experience levels. So if you are level 18, the other players on your leaderboard could be, for example, at levels from 16 to 23. In this way players at lower experience levels can also advance in the arena leagues.

    And this works from the wood league through to the diamond league. As you progress through the leagues, you will continue to fight against opponents with an experience level similar to that of your birds and compete on leaderboards against opponents who have similar experience levels to your birds.

    So, yes players at lower experience levels can reach the diamond level, since their opponents will be of a similar experience level.

    Since the third or fourth week of the first season I have an incredibly annoying bug. It happens mostly when I enter PvP battle, but it occured also a couple of times while fighting the golden pig or pirate caves.

    Sometimes at the beginnig of PvP the loading screen is interrupted by an advertisment. If it is a movie in most cases (not always though) it is ok, but if it is that bloody steady picture when I want to close it (no matter if I try to do it immediately or wait for couple secs or mins) the game freezes on the loading screen. Sometimes I have this pig silhouete on loading screen in various sizes freezed. The only way to unfreeze the game is to restart the device. This results in a lost battle. For the previous 7 weeks I have not lost a single battle in PvP mode on the arena, yet every day I finish with three loses. Each time it prevented me from ascending to higher league.

    I have updated the Angry Birds Epic application on regular basis, as well as my OS. Can someone pls tell me why that sh*t happens and how to cope with it… As it happens regardless of the updates and without visible pattern (sometimes I can play 10 battles in a row without freeze, sometimes I can’t even fullfil daily a single daily target because after entering battle 4 times I’m after 3 freezes) I start to suspect it is a purposeful activity of the application which aim is to force me to spend gold coins on restarting battles every day.

    @funkypumpkin I think a few of us have this bug. It has been around ever since the arena started. It seemed to have gotten better at various times and there was a period where I didn’t lose banners because of the freezes. But now I tend to get at least one freeze and lost banner every day.

    Like you, I find it mostly happens when I have one of the static ads on the black background. I dread seeing these. I find that it often occurs if I return to the game after a break. I now tend to ignore the first battle, force close the app and restart. That’s my only solution at the moment.

    Edit. And I am using an iPad with the latest iOS update.

    This seems to occur quite frequently. Can anyone plz take care of this?
    I have to fight the daily dungeon with 2 birds only in the meantime…
    New caves would possibly be unmasterable if this bug is not resolved…

    FYI: My device is not rooted or something; everything used to work for half a year and then suddenly stopped.

    Steps I tried without success:
    – rebooting the device
    – using different Internet connections, different speeds, WLAN, GSM, LTE,…
    – using all these different methods also for the following steps:
    – logging in and out from Rovio (with and without reboot inbetween)
    – logging in and out from Facebook (with and without reboot inbetween)
    – logging out from Rovio and Facebook and logging in with Rovio first (after reboot)
    – logging out from Rovio and Facebook and logging in with Facebook first (after reboot)
    – trying all those steps again with removing AB Epic from the FB apps after every logout from Facebook
    – adding new friends and trying all the previous steps again

    Is there a new upper limit of friends; i.e. it would work if I only had 10 FB friends?
    Obviously for some people it still works, as friends can borrow my birds…

    Any Rovio programmer around to fix this?

    @vogelwut i deleted a lot of Facebook friends today, and I now have below 750 friends. And now they have reappeared in the overview.

    However the list earlier only said 20 pages with friends, now it is upto 70 so this must have been what’s been causing this problem.

    @juhler I wouldn’t mind if some friends were skipped like it used to be… But showing none is quite unpleasant… Not sure whether I want to delete them or wait for a bugfix…

    @vogelwut — You need to send a support request directly to Rovio through their website. Angry Birds Nest is not run by Rovio, and it is extremely unlikely that a Rovio programmer will see your problem.
    If you have hundreds of FB friends, deleting a lot of them could help. Read the other comments to find out what people think is the max.
    If you are using your personal FB account and don’t want to delete friends, consider creating a “Gaming only FB account.”

    I am not sure if it was reported before: the “defeat the all” achievement for winning against all enemy types did show in game center (iOS 7.1, ver 1.2.6). I verified twice all 25 classes. I reported to Rovio but got no answer. Did this achievement work for anyone?

    @fangston — I accumulated over 100,000 points grinding after the update went live last week. No way I didn’t encounter all the classes at least twice probably several times over but I didn’t really keep track. I’m on android and did not accomplish the achievement either. I don’t think either of these two for the classes are working.
