@poptimus @smwforever45 thanks guys. I don’t use this set very often and when I have it’s never let me down. I think it was just unfortunate that when I used it today I just had a run of bad luck. Maybe next time it will be kind to me :)

The only fix I found so far.
Delete the app. Reinstall.
Play the first battle. Go to the nest.
Log in to Facebook. Log in to Rovio account.
This will only work once. After that you have to delete and reinstall the app again. I guess I’ll be doing this once a day *long sigh*

@ineptidude OK, I am an Android user myself so I can’t really help you but people have had trouble with Facebook in Epic on iOS before. Not sure if there is a way to fix it now. Hopefully someone that is playing on iOS knows the solution.

Why do we have to log into Facebook every day we play? Stupid idea!!!

I only have to sign in if the app somehow closes itself (or if I close it). If it runs in the background, I stay signed in.

Has anyone else had issues with Princess Matilda’s command to attack the banner in the arena being ignored?? It’s happened multiple times and I just NARROWLY lost a battle because opposing Bomb ignored her order to attack her and instead toppled my banner! I’m considering opening a ticket but thought I’d ask if anyone else has had this problem first.

Whelp now my previous method doesn’t work anymore; the game still thinks I’m logged into facebook and I can get my lucky coin from the calendar and ask friends for essence. But the only friend in my list now is friggin piggy mccool. I put in a support ticket but from what I’ve seen I doubt I’ll get any response. THANKS ROVIO. THANKS ZUCKERBERG.

Go to your Nest, hit the top part of the Totem (the Red one), and log out from Facebook and back in. Or, if it says to log in, then do so. Does that change anything?

I have a 6S with the most recent iOS and I never had trouble with FB so far.

No. Sorry, I can’t even log IN to facebook unless I perform the procedure I detailed a few posts prior. NOW, even if I manage a log in, none of my friends are listed in-game. Just PIGGY FRIGGIN MCCOOL. I don’t even get essence or requests for essence from friends anymore.

So with the new update now I can’t play anymore. The loading screen stops at “loading balancing.” I can start a new game and it’s fine. But if I sign into my rovio account to load my profile I get a “game update required” message (???) and the app crashes and I can’t get back into the game.

I guess all the bugs were leading to this anyway. Game over.

@ineptidude I tried to delete/reload the program to get past “loading balancing into memory” on my IPhone 6 se and got the same message…
My Ipad 2 loaded right up and let me get some dojo mastery.
<Edit> Blue Stacks also cranked right up…while the IPhone is still balancing

So it’s a problem with newer devices? I would’ve said it’s an iOS 9 problem but @angryjohnny has confirmed the problem exists on Android too…

iPhone 5, latest iOS installed. I’m getting the “Loading balancing into memory…” hangup problem, and I have never had ANY trouble with game updates.
Apple just pushed a new iOS update (9.3.4), but that wouldn’t explain Android issues.

Indeed, there’s a new iOS out. It can’t be that old yet, I actually checked for an update just four hours ago.
Gonna try that, thanks for the hint!
(Although I doubt it will make the game work)

EDIT: Nope. Nothing changed… I expected that anyway.

Sony Z2 with Android 6 btw. I have no Facebook account, so that can’t explain it either.

I’m also stuck at load balancing :/ Tried two devices, did a clean install and I got an error when trying to sync my data with my Rovio account.

Yup, we’ve all got this issue :/
If you’re on Android download the 1.4.8 update, this will fix the issue.
If you’re on iOS (like me) you’ll get the update this weekend likely.
If you’re on an Amazon device the update will probably roll out on Tuesday.
At least, that’s what Rovio says.

Arena seems to be stuck, giving only Red, Chuck, and Matilda as the opposing birds every battle. Makes it hard to complete the “Defeat Bomb with Matilda five times” achievement. I’ve restarted the app numerous times but it just keeps giving me those same three birds- never Bomb and never Blues.

@mathew-prock it is not really “stuck”, the arena got a relatively big update recently to remove cheaters and in doing so the database over players must be built up again which takes time. The Red, Chuck, and Matilda teams you encounter are placeholder teams generated by Rovio when no valid opponent can be found.

“Real” players will be more common for every day that goes on and more and more people play in the arena which will build up the database again.
