well if you notice more carefully you will see that the basket is still on the platform (the dark thing is a shadow or something). Of course I can understand your anger and frustration because I have been in similar situation many many times (thank you Rovio for that!!!).

Today it was horrible. I couldn’t no way get past the 2 stage in the arena no matter what. I have experienced magical moments thanks to Rovio. There was a level that had 4 columns (1 wood, the 2 middle ice with some wood in it and the 4th stone). Once I tried with Terence NOTHING moved!!!!! I had to use 3 birds to clear the level and of course I lost the game. I got this level another time. I sent Chuck and I got rid of the 3 columns. What was left was am ice cube with a mini pig and the stone column. I sent bomb and guess what…only the ice cube was destroyed and nothing else…It’s f…. unbelievable!!! It’s so lame!!!! It’s a f…. disgrace…
Not to mention that out of the blue a guy within couple of hours (2-3) got around 350 points…

Every time I play today I am lower down on the list. Got a lot of active players this week. First place is already at 400 stars. I won’t be winning this week and the birds have been so weak I am losing all interest to even try.

Started this round in 9th place, actually won 3 games and made it all the way up to, well, still 9th place.

And there is NO WAY the video bird is random, I see my opponents get all different birds, a pretty good mix. I get blue easily 60-70% of the time, and rarely is he helpful. I have to be winning outright, if I have to rely on the video bird I will probably get Blue and lose. It is not this way in the regular game, I get a decent mix of video birds in the regular game.

2400 points in 7 days… 340 points a day, 35-40+ matches a day. Since playing constantly is ticket-negative, one has to have a pretty good stash of tickets to sustain this, or one knows some esoteric method of getting tickets…

All I can say is, If you are trying to get a high arena score, never aim for 7 straight…..it just doesn’t add up mathematically to do it that way.

I won the round, but, I was winning by almost 4 million points, my opponent got so many points on just their last 3 birds I only won by a couple hundred thousand.

edit: That must have made them mad that I still won. The next round I was winning by a couple million, then got a room I have seen plenty of times but never like this. I small structure, 2 pigs, but a floating land mass so no bird could reach the structure directly. 2 air geysers, to get to the structure you were going to activate a geyser. Once I did not a single bird could touch the structure, the only one that could would be Matilda, never got her.

Something wrong with arena today, if i yesterday was able to beat #7 without using spells, gems and videobirds, got 10 stars several times, today i nearly can beat #1 and 2. Birds just have no power. WTF?

Rovio’s been tweaking today’s arena. First round I won (first match in the streak too). Took my bonus ticket to play a second round (and try to get the 10 daily stars to achieve the gem prize from Red). To my shock, NONE of my birds could wreck ANYTHING. I even threw Blues directly against a column made almost entirely of ice… they struck it and FELL DEAD without even breaking through. REALLY? NOT ONE of the Blues went through?

Ended up using ALL my birds plus whatever extra card I earned on the FIRST SCREEN and STILL NEVER CLEARED IT. Birds just hit things and stopped dead, and this includes my Bomb who detonated right beside a stone wall without even rocking it.

So yes, somebody at Rovio is toying with the settings.

Oh BTW Rovio, STOP HIDING THINGS BEHIND OTHER THINGS so they’re impossible to locate/hit. This is getting very tiring (and includes pigs behind the screen icons, decorations, and background items).

PS Rovio really wants to annoy players into making an impulsive gem purchase… after getting raped on the second streak round as I described above, I got so mad I instantly killed the app so I wouldn’t have to look at that entire prolonged animated production of me breaking my streak because Rovio rigged my game and I’m a loser.

About an hour afterwards when I logged back in, it was replayed the stupid thing again, to which I killed the app again so I don’t have to watch it.

An hour later I went back in and was still forced to look at it until it completed its cycle entirely. I get it Rovio, you f*cked me over this morning and now you’re rubbing it in. I’m still not paying gems to continue and not using my hard-earned money to support your cheating game.

You know when your number’s up from the start. You do nothing different but nothing collapses, nothing pops, nothing much happens. And you try, and you struggle and your opponent’s score just keeps going up and up.

It’s obvious and it’s ridiculous and I’ve learned to shrug and to laugh.

I have never had the trouble Iam having this week getting out of 9th place, I have never been in 9th place before. But then I have never had this many people all playing at the same time, just funny that 2 of the peple ahead of me have Squeek in there name and 2 have Hawkins. Just a the oddest assortment I have seen yet, plus the 1st place leader is already almost to 500 stars and in my leagues that can usually win it. You people that have leagues with players in the thousands, I would just quit.

How does a person get an updated Sling when not all of their birds even have hats?

Bird from nowhere? Maybe i just not noticed this before but today happened this: I shot my last bird, opponent did it too, his destructometer was almost empty. So i thought i win and suddenly opponent got another bird (Bomb) and won the match. Luckily i had videobird to use and finally i won with less than 10k points (Blues against stone structure).

2:14 EST Arena just crashes in the middle of my 7th streak event. No warning, no alarm… just blacks out and reboots.

Goodbye my streak (I was ahead, too), my Arena ticket, my progress.

Given how Rovio makes live updates and doesn’t notify us anymore when they’re doing it, I assume this was one of those occasions….

@heybert17 I’ve been wondering about that myself. I have found that when my level 15 birds go against the lower level birds with no hats but the same sling shot I always lose really bad like by millions. Normally if I lose its by 10000 or less. I’m always trying to figure out which logic these guys are using to program this so called game of physics.

I would like to know. I see this quite a bit. I have full set of crowns on all of my birds but still have the same slingshot as many players that have only a few hats or sometimes none at all…. I would really like to see a guide to the slingshot levels and upgrades….

Back in the day when I was a regular here we would joke about finding a user’s guide or owner’s manual for this game. I guess nobody has found such a thing yet, just kind of go with it. I check in occasionally so if anybody does find one or both of those things, please post it or a link to it. ;)

@sambeaver I see that “bird from nowhere” a lot, I just assumed, and thought I read somewhere in the forums, that it was their video bird, meaning they either lost or were losing the round when that game was played.

I’m a bit confused. The leader, by around 250 points, in my Diamond League is showing as in the Amethyst League. Is this a thing? Every other player is showing as Diamond.

I’ve made mention to this already in the thread. In order to upgrade your slingshot…it’s required to complete the hat set. However, if you noticed when you buy the hats, you have an option to not have a hat. I have a gold sling shot and I can choose neither of birds to not have hats…but I’d be dumb to that since I’d be losing a 2x advantage. They’re doing that so that you have and I quote “comforting” sense that you can win. Obviously this is not always the case since streak 1 is a doozy for me

Requirements to sling shot and hats

WOODEN – you start off with and has a +0 multiplier
BRONZE – you get by spending 140 pearls on getting ALL the party hats. Does a +1 multiplier and +1 multiplier for hats
SILVER – you get by spending 600-700 (600 assuming you have the prince pack) by getting all the crowns. The hat does +2 multiplier and so does the sling
GOLD – you get by spending 700 pearls on getting ALL street hats. Gold has a +3 multiplier and hats do a +2 multiplier
AZURE – you get by spending 3500 pearls on getting ALL cowboy hats. Azure would likely have a +4 multiplier and cowboy hats does +3 multiplier

What sense is this? Say you have a level 15 bird

WOODEN – bird does 15x damage
BRONZE + party hat – bird does 15+1+1 = 17 times the damage
SILVER + crown – bird does 15+2+2 = 19 times the damage
GOLD + crown(or street) – bird does 15+3+2 = 20 times the damage
AZURE + cowboy – bird does 15+4+3 = 22 times the damage

Well update on my tournament I was 4 the last night and got to a very distant 6 place literally overnight. A player SWOOSH, who had been a dead player in my last week’s tournament (facing the same players again) is now in second place with 1029 stars (so he got over 900 in a few hours with no change to his star rank. Worst off…he’s in the Amethyst league in my diamond league. Urg!!

@jon3800 Okay, I missed that, but since the Sling makes it obvious you have upgraded it is a weak move, plus why leave some hats on and some off. Doesn’t make sense to me, but little about this game does.

@heybert17 – I’ve asked the same question about a player having an upgraded sling but missing hats on their birds or choosing to use party hats rather than higher scoring crowns/street hats – hard to believe that anyone would be stupid enough to forego the advantage after the effort required to gain the hats and slings in the first place!

@djangosmum @heybert17 it’s not the way I would compete. I don’t see any real need to level up my slingshot. I have the pearls to level up to gold from silver but the way the game is programmed right now it will put me playing against players with gold slingshots. Another words it will only pair you with a competitor with the same color slingshot. That could change in the future but until then I think it’s safe to hoard my pearls.

Has anyone tried to back out of the arena lately? Do you still lose a ticket? I haven’t tried in a few weeks.
