    Below are initial Comments over on the Facebook group from a long-time player who is beta testing an upcoming version with many many many changes:

    just downloaded 2.0.3.0.

    this is beta only

    no new map areas

    3 new charactes, 3 new squads

    accessories and EI can now be upgraded (to 3 levels, called grades (per the daily quests))

    five new achievements to buy/upgrade accs/EI

    materials are now called crystals. there are 5, I had different quantities of some of them. Unsure how the old materials are translated to the new crystals. Suggest you do not empty your silo before you upgrade (I originally suggested you should empty your silo, i misread my silo after upgrading – Serge Bouillon was a victim of my not so hot tip)

    a bunch of characters (first pages in barracks) had lost 1 heart in health

    Slipstream did not have Glassor available anymore, Probably just due to the level of the character.

    I think it’s a good thing to introduce some innovation in this game.
    But I don’t know how all of these will work out, mostly because I can’t get a good picture of these changes being described here.
    Btw, what is El ?

    another bunch of comments:

    — if i have understood correctly, the lab is now more a factory, you know what you are going to pay and what you are going to get, than a lab (you don’t know what you get) or even a rip-off shack (you know you are going to get hussled)

    — watching a video after an event does not double the crystal rewards

    — Slipstream has Kremzeek/EMP. It no longer stops monoliths falling. Bug or intentional?

    — hard mission of 8 / 16 /48 hours. 4000 pigs to cut the 48 to 24.

    — less gems in quests, less gems in missions, as far as we know now, no gems in the lab. They are becoming very rare… but the offer is still 5000, and extra runs stay the same price too…

    — Character upgrades now als require crystals, have an uncanny feeling the higher upgrades will require the rarer ones, in quantities that you cannot just get in the time in the time the previous upgrade takes.

    — accessoires have been nerfed back to basics. All the progress we’ve made is gone. No more 100% and more extras…

    — superion has emp. Doesn’t stop monoliths from falling anymore. Again, bug or intentional?

    The new rev is confusing as hell.  I experienced everything @20qmindreader did, including losing a heart on an entire block of characters.  Not cool that all the Energonicons got reset back to basic, even on characters that are overclocked.  No idea how the translation of materials to crystals works; I was almost fully stocked on Super Rareium but now have 0 of those equivalent crystals.  And I’m pissed that using the Lab now costs coins.

    This may finally break my addiction to this game, despite a few years of playing…

    Now we will survive with gems that we already collect. New Gems are won’t be collected any more with game :(

    I really hope they change some thing in the final update. Nerving back all the accessoires to zero is ridiculous, I’ve spent millions of coins to get those upgrades! They better make some new accessoires with the new levels then.

    The new version is now also available in Google Play Store.
    I’ve bitten the bullet and installed it.
    My first impression is that it might not be so bad as I feared it would be.
    Note: You can see an overview of all the changes in the NewsFeed (also visible in the old version 1.51.1).

    A (first small) issue that I encountered was that it takes an additional step to see if you are logged in to FB.
    However, you can check this by clicking on the login button in the settings screen

    If the FB-logout-button is poorly visible you are logged out.

    Otherwise (if it’s clearly visible) you’re logged in.

    I find it very buggy……. app keeps freezing ….. I guess with all the changes it’s now memory HOG…..

    Just as @20qmindreader had mentioned Superion’s EMP can’t stop falling monoliths anymore, but it is also unable to paralyze WMT’s. Luckily it can still destroy their flaming fireballs.

    Just got the update it already sucks. Does anyone’s spire say 5 days 10hrs to recharge? Looks like are trying to make the game so you have to spend real $$ to get anywhere.

    It was a bad sign when R/E started offering new characters for 5000 gems.  The ultimate goal is to get players to spend more money.  I’m sure these changes have been in the works for a long time, but this seems like a really bad time to screw the customers.

    Just to note, what I posted came from other players, I haven’t done the update on mine yet. More comments from other players who have:

    This update seems a lot of take and no give from Exient.
    Take:
    1) no spark in token exchange.
    2) gold crates more expensive in token exchange.
    3) spire ONCE per week not per day.
    4) all accessories need to be upgraded again regardless of what level they were before.
    5) no more short missions.
    6) new Crystals are needed for every upgrade, not just upgrading bots.
    7) steel crates pay out pigs, more pigs and some coins and maybe a token crystal.
    8) straight gem upgrades are more expensive. (This one I don’t care about, I don’t do it)
    9) is a guess, but I’m sure legendary payouts in the CR on Sunday will now include yellow Crystal’s rather than as many OP’s or any upgrades

    Give:
    1) energicons can be upgraded to become more powerful
    2) ?
    3) ??
    …………….

    I hope this update eventually proves me wrong but it seems to suck.

    BUT! Another long time player noted that was a loss of some stuff, but seems “okay” smh.

    I’ve installed it as well, it’s going to need some time to get used to the new gem system. Everything seems off as of now.

    Anyway, either I will keep playing or finally break off this toxic relationship for good.
