The adventure continues! The Angry Birds are off for a spring break getaway to a remote pacific island! Angry Birds Seasons Tropigal Paradise (v5.1.0) is now available for iOS and Android via Google Play, with more platforms coming soon!
This update includes:
- 26 brand new levels filled with water, lava, palm trees, coconuts and much more!
- “Big Tiki” Golden Egg that is unlocked after 3-starring all levels.

- Pig Days! more levels added to the “Coming Soon” list! For a complete listing of which levels are released when, see our Pig Days Guide. Note: Some users had issues with the “Cloud” download system last time, and it looks like it is being used again. Please let us know of any issues.
- No new achievements for iOS, which is expected since the SD version is completely full and the HD version only has 4 points available.
Angry Birds Seasons Crashing? Try this.
If you experience post-load crashing try the following steps after updating. We are not 100% sure, but there is a chance this crash is related to the glitch in Angry Birds Seasons Pig Days 3-11. Those that had the glitch happen seem to be the ones where the game is crashing.
Initial Attempt: Running the app in Airplane Mode seems to allow users to at least play the game. You will not have access to the entire game (eg, portions that need to be downloaded from the Cloud), but you will at least have most episodes while waiting for a Rovio fix. But…!
Very important: The following should only be done after updating the client to 5.1.0 (the new update which isn’t live yet. As always, backup your local progress first just in case. We have a backup guide to help you with that.
- In the game’s main menu, open the “options” menu (lower left hand corner)
- Tap the cloud symbol (delete cloud data), and tap ‘ok’ to the following popup. (this won’t delete any progress data. just the data files associated with the level)
- Go to the episode selector, and tap the ‘pig days’ (which should now come with a cloud symbol), and tap ‘ok’ or ‘download’ in the following popup.
- After the game has downloaded the pig days data, the player can proceed to pig days and play the level.

Do you have notifications disabled or enabled?
@jasonii thanks for the suggestion to look at notification settings. I had notifications turned off in the notification center and in the app settings, and the app crashed on the splash screen while loading. After seeing your post, I turned on notification center, and now the app loads and I am able to play the levels, although it still loads slowly.

I’m at work now so I can’t check, but I usually have all notifications turned off.
Thanks all. I have informed Rovio about this. They did send over a possible fix, which I included above. Whether or not this will work depends on when your crash occurs. If you can’t even get the app to load it will probably be of little use.
I have the same issue, too. It crashes each time I have to load the app. So, I sent a request about this issue to Rovio Support and hopefully they will reply.
I can’t restore from backup though, because Angry Birds Transformers’ data will still corrupt if I restore my device and then restore from a backup, even though my progress can be save by Facebook and/or Game Center.
Maybe if Rovio makes a new update that fixes the crashing issue, everything will be okay. :)
I sure hope any future Angry Birds apps will work for the iPod Touch 5th Generation, too.
Has anyone noticed that sprites of some objects (such as blocks) now appear to be a lot larger or smaller than before? (such as the stone blocks on Level 3- they were 50% smaller before the update and the super-small Basketballs in the bottom-right of Level 4 by the Pig)

I managed to fix my Angry Birds Seasons app by enabline the notifications in the app’s settings, and the app played okay. Afterwards, I disabled the notifications and the app STILL works okay. I’m happy to play Seasons again, and kudos go to Jasonii and 3sjs for the suggestion and results respectively. :)
Enabling notifications doesn’t work for me. Playing on airplane mode does work, but I don’t want to disable the rest of the iphone functions. I’ll just wait for the fix from rovio.Booooooo….
I can turn off WiFi and play just fine! That way I don’t lose any function like phone or text. Seems like it’s just the internet connection that’s getting in the way. Can’t download the levels that are in the cloud, though.

Updated. But takes some time to load, very slow! Downloaded the Cloud levels, took some time.
When you open a level to play, takes also time to load!
For Feathers, now you play the level, when you shoot the feathers, your score continue to increase then on the final screen you see it in %
Seems live the “island” the birds are on is Hawaii, hence the tiki masks and leis
Nice surprise, something to keep me busy between showing of Age of Ultron.
Most levels are easy to 3-star, got 74 out of 78 stars on the first pass. Lots of points on each level, far more than it looks like.

What will happen if you launch the birds into the lava?
Hey, Sonnykero. Apparently, it’s an instant defeat. When Birds touch the lava, they sink in and disappear. Same thing goes for the pigs, except the pigs make noises when they touch the lava. The noises the pigs make when they touch the lava sound similar to the pigs in Angry Birds Stella, which means that Tropigal Paradise is the only occassion, aside from Angry Birds Fight!, to have classic sounds and modern sounds of the birds and/or pigs mixed together.
However, I recommend to not launch birds into the lava too much for 2 reasons.
1. It will not make a useful move to knock down the pigs structure.
2. This reason is for ALL Angry Birds Fans. Here’s a hint, “To the Bitter End”. After the events of the episode, I can’t stop worrying about Gale. And I know that according the info about Gale’s death in the Angry Birds Wiki page about Gale that her fate was not actually witnessed and, confirmed by Rovio, will not be revealed in Season 2 of the Angry Birds Stella animated series, but I am still not going to give up hope that she’s still alive. I hope all you fans hope that Gale is still alive to. In fact, please do so to spread the word AND the hopes. Rovio did say they can’t comment about future things on Angry Birda and can’t reveal spoilers, but it does NOT mean you can’t hope that Gale is okay. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Just opened my iPad and found the new game installed- no downloading required-it is quite slow in loading screens though-otherwise no problems so far under iOS 8.3
I can’t get past load screen. It says it’s loading but then crashes.

3-starred them and played bonus level, 4.5 million points total. Haven’t seen any golden eggs though, looks like that’s my next task.

Some more info to pass along that light help Rovio debug: App crashing on iPhone 6 (latest versions of OS and app) whenever network is started.
I can launch the app in airplane mode, but then cannot download Pig Days. Turning on wi-fi causes app to crash.
I also have an iPad (latest versions of OS and app). App launches and runs fine. When I accessed Pig days, I found that the last two levels (which I had 3 starred and feathered on the iPhone) had to be restarted (0 stars).
Replayed the Pig Days levels on iPad to 3-star and 100% feather. iPad working great, iPhone still crashing on launch.
The suggestion might work if I could get past the splash screen before the game crashes.
Had no problem with either loading, on Android!! Working just dandy!!
Same here on my Android tablet. Usually new updates have been buggy lately, but its still early going.
I agree this was a nice surprise but I am confused about the crashes some are experiencing as it purportedly relates to the Pig Days 3-11 glitch.
I’ve installed on both iPad & iPhone with no loading or crashing whatsoever …. at least not yet.
Is the Pig Days referenced glitch to which this is referring the one where after Oink Industries explodes the level’s score resets to 0 & the PU lightening bolt appears? If so, I experienced that a couple of times on iPad before realizing a quick “close app” avoided the issue. Despite the fact I had it happen on iPad, I had no crashing upon opening the app on iPad, so perhaps there are other factors contributing to this crash issue.
Pig Days levels seem easier, upped my level 1-1 score by 10k in 3 mins
The app hasn’t been crashing for me. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I still haven’t played that last Pig Days level?
Downloaded Angry Birds Tropical Paradise onto iPhone 5 and it won’t open. Goes to loading page then just disappears. Tried restarting phone and it didn’t help.
Actually it’s an iPhone 6 that it won’t open on.
After updating, I couldn’t get Seasons past the loading screen on my IPad 3. I tried a soft reset to no avail. Then I tried turning on Airplane Mode (which turns off Wi-Fi) and it loaded just fine – no crash. Will post again if I discover anything else. Aloha.

The game loaded after I took someone’s advice by turning on airplane mode.

Level 4-2 of Ham Dunk is modified in the new update, and the glitch is no longer possible.
I found another Bug. The mighty eagle crash the game. (iphone 6, ios 8.3)
Once when I used the Mighty Eagle the game froze for a few minutes and when it started working again it said I got 0% destruction…
when I used the Mighty Eagle, The eagle highscore turns into traditional score. Once finished destruction game crash…
I hav e same issue.
After launching ME, when level close, game just showing purple screen for 1 second,
and take me to home screen, when i start again game, it take longer to load.

I read someone’s comment on the Facebook Angry Birds page and this person said they allowed notifications in iOS settings for Angry Birds seasons and then rebooted and it worked. That may no sense to me but after several reboots and it still crashing, I allowed notifications in settings and rebooted it what do you know Angry Birds Seasons now works in iOS.
So when I get home tonight I’ll try it with my iPad and see if it works there too.
Allowing notification for angry birds seasons on my iPad fixed the crash situation also. So I figured it out for my situation. Mine had nothing to do with Pig Days level 3 – 11 or a cloud data glitch because I had never downloaded Pig Days. So I will just assume the notification problem was because it wanted to notify me that there was Pig Day levels. Hope this helps somebody else too.
so how do you get to the screen to delete cloud data if it keeps crashing first? In airplane mode cannot open pig days. Airplane mode on allows play in regular seasons but not pig days.

Angry Birds Seasons, there’s always a problem on ios, does Android has any bugs? Because my old Samsung Galaxy Tab won’t load the game at all, it just froze at the “loading” screen

I am surprised no one else has commented on the change in the scoring while the Mighty Eagle is in play. Now, they give you a running score as well as a percentage.
I’ve calculated a few of these, and have been able to determine a target score for 100% Mighty Eagle destruction. This is incredibly helpful.
Maybe this has been in the game before. The is the first I’ve noticed it.
FWIW, my new Seasons loaded perfectly on my iPhone 5S and has not crashed. It’s working great.
Yes @daboid, this is a new system to counting points. Now we can see the value of each elements. For example the little steel canon ball in ham dunk 4.2 (if you launch the eagle on them, you will see a big big score on the screen)

@jet003 There are two solutions in the main post, have you tried them?
Tried all options. Sometimes they work (e.g., when I hard reboot!) Then if I go out of the game and try to go back in, it will not load. I can tell if this is going to happen because the screen flickers a bit and it seems to take “forever” to go through the attempt to load before going back to main screen. iPod/notifications on/etc etc
@BirdLeader — I don’t see any mention of the link to Bird Life International on the episode selection screen. Maybe a special news release is warranted?
