I agree with the general sentiment, the endless ineffective birds coupled with micropigs, magicians, hammer throwers, etc on some days don’t make sense. Some days the DC is easy enough, while still a challenge, as if to pull you in and give you hope, then dash it the next day. Surely the physics is tweaked sometimes, definitely not constant. And it is so hard to level up, as some have said it must be deep pockets that have brought some people the higher levels within hours (it seems) of them being released.

Or maybe its just as I suspect, I’m not that good of a player after all. This game can make you wonder sometimes.

Since the new update has become playable, I have had to hard close many times to avoid multilple carded cheaters. I have noticed tho that the great majority of legal opponents as someone mentioned are higher level, higher level birds. I am still able to beat some, but around half the time their multipliers are just too high even with my best game

By the way, anyone who wants to get the friend gifts can let me know, I’m willing to share. I have never gotten one, the few people on my list have long stopped playing, so I think I’ve been wasting my friend gifts for months, even when farming was still possible. So…let me know

@mvnla2 @all i have found that levels 9 and 13 have been less likely to turn up gifts. The level i use daily now to get a blue gift for the gems, where I’ve had the most success is level 11, normally get one within 6 games. But this doesn’t always work.

I think I’ve gotten to frustration point now with the arena, or maybe it’s just that i can’t play well. Tired of bombing an ice structure and one small pig falls from a height and survives. Tired of Terrence and Silver sometimes popping and passing thru balloons, sometimes bouncing off. Tired of winning by few hundred thousand and then losing to my greyed out opponents’ string of powerful birds, then watching a video and getting a duck spell or blues to make up hundreds of thousands against stone structures. Tired of bomb and Silver striking stone blocks and only cracking them. Tired of the green goo conveyors spitting birds off at an acute angle which makes no sense. And others.

As i said, maybe its just my lack of skill.

@mvnla2 @furious @james-peden I just play 9 and 13 now, just to get the gift, and move on. Usually within 6 games i get one. I think farming is a dead art now, from all indications. Oh, and by the way, I also leveled up and got 3 gems…oh joy…smh.

Two days ago in the arena I took screenshots of cheaters, star levels 5 and 6, 5 birds in flock some at level 8. Was gonna post the images but figured why bother, its like the norm now. Met them in half of arena games i played that day

@mvnla2 sorry I meant in levels 9 and 13 I see blue gifts now on like my second or third tries. I normally jump back just once per day now to get a quick blue gift for the daily bonus gems.

@all, so the videos in the arena started working again all of a sudden my last 3 entries, tho I’ve run into cheaters a few times. Also I haven’t run any stats, but i am seeing blue gifts faster, maybe just a good streak. Since there are no red gifts I really only play to get 1 for the daily reward, and i don’t have anyone much to give the blues to anyway.

Tried 2 hard resets and no luck, still no second play in arena. I’m on Android. Its funny tho how it was working and then suddenly stopped, and i don’t remember the app updating, hmmm… @proteus @mvnla2 apparently some people get much better stats than others. Finally now I got some feathers from last 2 daily chests (10, 25) but level 9 gave no gifts yesterday. This morning i got a gift on the 4th try, first room. I must be out of my loooooong dry spell

Still one arena try, and my last two opponents had spell cards. Also, haven’t seen a blue gift in my last 25 plays between 9 and 13, think that ship has sailed

@sutekh137 enjoy it when you get it, I’m waiting to have one of those good weeks too. I’m in emerald and either I don’t play enough or don’t win enough, but some people seem to get over 40 stars in 3 hours sometimes.

@furious if you want someone to give them to, I’d be happy to join your crew. I have given out many but never gotten one. The few people on my list seem to have stopped playing long ago. I was finishing up seasons and working on space when AB2 came out, so I downloaded but took a while to start playing.

9: 5 tries, 0 chests

9: 3 tries, 1 chest on 3rd try (didn’t see it, but at end of level it came up)

Oh, and today I bought another premium chest: 1 chilli pepper

@abeggertoo @james-peden I want your secret to getting so many feathers of any sort from premium chests. Apparently I’m doing something wrong. I know its supposedly random, but I’ve been randomly getting lots of blizzards and ducks.

@sutekh137 I guess that’s what it takes to win, constant playing with lots of skill and a little luck thrown in. And as you said hoping you don’t run into people who are either cheating or paying tons of money or something to make over 600-800 stars in the week.

@furious You know, now that you mention it, I’ve never seen the opponent get a duck or blizzard, but I have gotten them from the video. When I got the blizzard, I wondered if that was a joke.

@djlarryt I think I saw that same player, looks so familiar, level 5, same birds, a few weeks ago, wish I had recorded it, but then his birds were level 6 and 7

@mvnla2 you’re kidding right? That is the pits of it right there. Rovio, really? That wouldn’t even make sense for moving from level 1 to 2. There needs to be some sensibility and gauging. All “gifts” or “rewards” can’t be included in every list, because some are not applicable in some places… smh

@partshade You’re so right, it must be a great prize for it to be even available at that high level. Imagine, your birds need 1600 or more to level up, but your hard work gets you equal to or less than what a free chest or free arena daily gives you. Your effort and skill is worth squat

@proteus see, that’s the ridiculousness I’m talking about. After working hard, spending many hours, sometimes days, to level up, you get 10 feathers, I get a blizzard. Its like an insult for your time and energy.

@sutekh137 most welcome. I totally am on the same page. Overall feathers should be obtainable anywhere, but even with what i suggested as a minimum, having it graded, by time you reach levels over 200 you would expect to be getting like 250 feathers in a chest, as these are relatively harder to obtain. By lvl 400 you should be getting say 500…

I just got 10 feathers from a chest, and with the low frequency of getting feathers, my flock will remain at levels 5 and 6 for quite some time

@mvnla2 I had been using your guides and started occasional farming for a few mins now and then, was thinking when i got some time to get enough stats I would compile my lvl 8, 9, 13 stats, and check other levels, to post on here. But before I got to it…. My preference also would be to go back to the original red chest setup, maybe even better, but I was just saying i prefer a little compared to none at all.

@bankler at least at level up the reward should be good. I can’t see a scenario where leveling up from 27 to 28 should net you a blizzard. In the very least, for star levels you should be guaranteed a proper reward towards your birds being more “powerful”

@furious @mvnla2 anyone who has played rpg type games knows that fortune favors the guy who is willing to take time building his levels and stats, maybe fighting lower level monsters again and again for experience, to make sure you have the levels or weapons or skills to fight higher level opponents. So “farming” is a normal rpg phenomenon. In this game your star level doesn’t even mean as much as the level of your birds when playing in the arena or even in the levels, so really, its a step backward to make it this ridiculously difficult to get feathers. @bankler it would be better if you had chests in lower levels give less feathers, say 10 or 20, and as you progress, chests in higher levels give more, akin to more reward for more difficulty, than to remove chests altogether. Just a thought

@mvnla2, @proteus, @sutekh137, @abeggertoo, @whoeverislooking. I stopped buying gems long, long ago, only use the gems from daily rewards. Last 5 chests i bought were:
1 blizzard
1 duck
2 blizzards
1 pepper
1 blizzard

It has actually been over two weeks since I have gotten any feathers from a premium chest. The small daily chest (plus its video double up) occasionally gives me 10 feathers, but mostly 3 gems or spells.

@furious That second part I have had happen too many times, being a 200-400 thousand ahead, and suddenly the greyed out opponent who’s refil meter is empty gets like 3 or 4 cards flashing and the score just running, and I lose by up to half million
