@dustin-roweYES I am having the same issue when playing on my Galaxy S6. In addition to the slow motion game play that starts usually after the first few rounds, I am having to start the game 2-4 sometimes before I can get in. It will load and then kick out to my desktop.
Reinstall the game has not worked, this new X-mas update fixed nothing, yet when I play on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 I haven’t seen any bugs like this. My phone with the 8 core processor out performed by my rather pedestrian tablet! I really hope they figure this out soon!!!

@dustin-roweVerdict – it’s a play to win gig…I finally win & the game crashes. See ya later, on prizes, restart & then unable to play anymore Daily Challenge rounds (not a big deal…why play when the game doesn’t reward it’s prizes). Just another major detail that detracts from enjoyable game play.
I have a fix it request into Rovio, I will report back when I hear back from them…keep sling’in!Oh and currently I am playing on a Galaxy Tab 4 with Android LOLLIPOP, rendering is too slow, Samsung is replacing my battery in S6…game play is the best on that device.

@dustin-roweI had my appstore set to automatically update, I am wondering why I it took until Saturday 3 A.M. MST for this scourge to get me, I play the tournament every 3 hours, religiously. I tried the reinstall trick that has worked to unfreeze my game play @ the rank-up screen on levels 40 & 45. Gems were even replaced on last reinstall. This is NOT the case with this bug. I was however, able to preserve my progress & tournament play on my Samsung 10.1 tablet by disabling the app auto update immediately after power up. My 2000+ gems & all progress are still M.I.A. on my Galaxy S6… An issue for Rovio’s damage control after the dust settles.
***So if you’re AB2 has not updated, go NOW & turn off app auto update (in your app store settings).***
****Best not to attempt to fix updated FREEZING AB2 2.6 by reinstalling.
The only thing you will accomplish is the destruction of your game progress & gems…in other words, everything. Time heals all!

@dustin-roweSo I resolved the issue of being stuck. I fixed it by reinstalling the application & was starting to have a VERY BAD DAY as I thought I had lost all game play & was going to have to start completely over. According to the Rovio Web site if game play wasn’t saved in your Rovio account all game data would be lost. So I started over, and after winning a friend gift on level 7 I linked up to my Facebook account & bingo, bango, bongo!!! Everything came back,unstuck able to play on from level 40. One thing that didn’t restore were the 1900+ gems I had recently purchased. My screen shot that I sent in my request to Rovio shows this gem count thus Rovio should restore those gems. Other than that, I havexpect some catching up to do in the arena.

@dustin-roweMy game is also stuck and has been for at least 24 hours. My game is stuck at the level-up to level 40. The tap to level-up chest appears then I get a screen with a check mark at bottom center with no prize inside…that is it can’t get any farther or do anything but exit and close app. & try again. I am playing on a Galaxy 6. I have reported this to Rovio. I will report back if I get an answer?

@dustin-roweI concur, farming appears futile on levels 9,11,13,33. Most time spent on 9 & 13 with no success. Surely there are other levels for farming, if you find one it looks like you should keep it to yourself.
