anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryOh, I grilled their “Support” for Arena seeming simulated (had a week recently where clicking on 12 of my weekly lies – I mean opponents – yielded Vanilla League and 2 were Bronze); allowing it to get to the point where it’s basically an unkillable boss unless you suffer through a gemorrhage and take the much safer 150+FP on you but no spells (only need to equate to 30FP birdage if taking in all five, plus another card or 2+ is that much more achievable); GD not working (Grolken Duck) and every spell getting yanked so nobody got a single broken…or not broken spell (speculation as to why because they aren’t transparent in the least); it took like two freaking weeks to fix GD in a 4+ year game; Chili hasn’t shown up in bundles of 3 ever since the GD fix -> making it a “fix” (I repeatedly asked Support about it, among other things, until it got to the point where I called them “greedy f**ks” and tore into them but all they could really say was that I should refrain from using such language or they’d take measures to cut off my access to “Support” and that they’d be happy to help when I could be more civil, to which I told them I hadn’t really received much support anyways and probably wouldn’t notice and said that I shouldn’t have acted out but also shouldn’t have been ignored for weeks); they finally responded about no 3-packs yesterday; Chili tutorial (if I’m not mistaken) also mentioned how it would always go for the “hardest to reach” pig or something but will now often go for useless ones that are easy to reach and allows that card to either have a good chance of being used ineffectively or steals a slot for more viable birds/spells in current situation; Jetpack Run is fun but they don’t seem to match us up fairly like they EASILY could (hundreds of thousands still play so don’t tell me there should be a game-deciding multiplier difference); Arena is rigged; my clan was being used as a sort of hub a couple weeks ago and saw 5 – yes, 5! – different rivals that were playing against our scores but we could only guess who it would land on if it ended without getting fixed; certain/perhaps all feats don’t track beyond milestone if you’re patiently waiting to claim the reward during a reward-boosting event (reaching floor 30 also gets superseded by next attempt, which is mindbogglingly foolish and should have been noticed before the game even came out); rooms getting stretched out to the point where only certain birds have a chance is cool in campaign but is pretty BS in DC (ever since streaks were included) and Arena, especially when it’s combo’d with micro pigs on balloons, micro balloons invading structures, and just bad level design in general; premature room transitioning seems to have possibly been caused by frequent FF’ing but just shouldn’t happen or be a “smart” feature; premature bird poofing, notoriously Terrence in my case; ending bonuses right before the biggest rewards most of us see outside of feat claiming (which I see gets to be fewer and farther between…I mean come on, a Rare chest for using another 2,500 spells on top of the 2,500 it took months to have used or another 1,500 Common chests opened to get 200 base BP?); harder DC (closed off exits, nothing worse than that one slime slide one going to bottom right of screen); probably harder KPP (don’t ever try nowadays because my blood usually boiled from them anyways); Arena is a farce; scaling is off when it comes to rewards and how hard the game can get in certain areas (Battles, Rowdy, and Campaign can justifiably get tough as nails but DC has become a Legendary chest tease if you don’t stop the gemorrhage and I think Arena has been covered); “Support” only thought I was worth their time when I called them out on their crap; they have been mostly nice but haven’t convinced me that they’re anything but cardboard cutouts with grinning faces; the recompense we get for their f-ups (1k rainbow feathers, maybe a Rare if we’re lucky) aren’t worth the trouble unless we literally weren’t playing while the game was broken (well, brokener than normal); Piggy Mail could be used as a tool to inform us that they know there’s certain issues with the game and that they’re working out a fix but they know that transparency equates to responsibility/expectations; things like extra bird fever toward the end of a Battle and the #extrabirdchallenge (pshhh, we know what that crap’s all about); I’ve heard that Campaign gets insufferable (a good, meaty challenge would be expected but I’ve heard “impossible” is closer to the truth); hat Adventures with a shop are astronomically hard (give and take); everything seems to come at a cost; chests love giving me Leonard feathers out the a$$ even if he’s leagues ahead; hackers should be detected much quicker, especially during start of new MEBC seasons; multi-magician convoluted rooms; and the Arena is a simulation of a simulation. It all just astounds me that they are so deadset on running player experience into the ground, like they didn’t even stop for one second to consider making it free of tampering and so enjoyable that players would still buy gems/apples. What would be their incentive, you ask? How about an amazing game? And maybe they could do more inspired updates instead of everything boiling down to gemorrhaging.
Tl:dr…Rovio are super suspect and it puts the “GRRRRRR” in my username.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryThat’s awesome, SteelCityB! I’ve been out your way, too, but mostly when the Penguins go deeper in the playoffs and there’s a lot of opportunities to watch games on the big screen. Well, if you do live in the city. A lot of people around here will say they’re from Pittsburgh and unless they’re trying to avoid doxxing themselves then I don’t quite get why. Forgot about this post for a while. Didn’t mean to bump old posts but wanted to extent a friendly neighborhood Mr. Rogers hand, lol.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryYeah, I’ve come across this often. I pay VERY close attention to just about every aspect of this game because I don’t trust exactly trust Rovio. Had a 3 ME third (?) Daily streak reward switch to 3 GD before and much, much more that I won’t get into here since saying that was just to provide a small backstory and reason as to why I am sure in my analysis. But yeah, I have experienced this enough to be quite confident that it only adds a tripled extra bird score at most, might even simply be a normal score. I know it will always give the tripled in the pre-match screen where you can gemorrhage for new opponents. I would go with the assumption that it’s tripled, maybe I can do some further research but it might not get done before this one ends. And Bubbles is by far my favorite so unless it’s him or Stella, I’m not going into Arena with a tripled bird. I wish that they’d show us our opponent’s base score without it helping to cramp up screen space. And work this out so we don’t get freaked, it made me fearful of losing big in Arena first time I noticed the discrepancy.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryI don’t know if you were trolling in the first sentence or forgot the “almost” but that was a great montage! Whoever he is he got to the same exact point I did without Chuck at his disposal 😲. I never thought to activate Blues on room 2, level 6 like that. Always just activated close to the stone/bubbles grouping, hoped to get a card before golden pig went down, and then prayed that the structure would fall like Rome and all pigs would pop. A real shame he didn’t use ME on room 6, level 6.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryIf you tap the banner with your player icon, Flock Power, and player name right in the middle of the top of the home screen it’ll be on the bottom left in small characters.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryI’d like to hear your ideas and help collaborate, Twisted, you definitely have your wits about you. Here’s to hoping you can succeed in posting 🍻!
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryI’d be willing to bet my whole account progress that it was in order to get the Ducks fixed, like Twisted Lemon said. But I also wouldn’t bet a single Grolken Duck (mash-up of “broken” and “golden” 😂) that they didn’t tamper with it on purpose. Also of note: Chilies haven’t been showing up in bundles of 3 as a rare reward for me so rejoicing might be a little early. It’ll have a light blue background but still say “1” 😑.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrrySweet Jesus, SteelCityB (hey, I’ve lived in Greensburg all my life!), I’d drool over a video of you completing 5 and 6 with just Red/Blues. R/Bl/C for 5 pushed me to my limits as far as skill AND luck was concerned. You’re a monster!
PS, I like your choice of icon with Mr. Black&yellow Bomb.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryI always get a golden pig on Level 6, room 2. It could correlate to me attempting to trigger “pity mode” for the bullshit expectations of the late-streak Arena by going into career Level 4 and throwing all birds away, watching video for extra birb (if available), throwing that away, continuing until I’m out of lives, watching all 3 or 4 videos for extra lives, and repeating that every few hours. I do feel somewhat shameful for corrupting the integrity of my AB2 experience but Rovio seems to have moved in a general direction of “let’s screw over our fan base by making Matilda activation gimp near structures, room transitions/Terrence disappearances laughably premature, obvious damage not accounted for if it doesn’t happen directly during transition, Golden Ducks suddenly don’t work? oh no! we must pull all spells from chests, let’s make that holiday season adventure disproportionately hard, the whole late-season #extrabirdchallenge bullshit from last season, feats not tracking beyond their milestone if left unclaimed by player, etc., etc, etc. I just learned today that your next run in ToF cancels out the milestone hit if you leave it unclaimed for BPP/FF/RR capitalization but I’ve also had issues with like a full month of days logged in not being accounted for and ~20k pigs popped between start of Bring the Anger charity drive and so on until the first BPP in a month happened and 50k popped feat could FINALLY be claimed. And one week in the Arena seemed like a clear-cut simulation. Rovio needs to be more transparent. And the fact that they aren’t and that Piggy Mail tells us next to nothing as far as what’s going on behind the scenes and I’ve submitted tickets for days only to get 1 response from Lina that cherry-picked my rare issues with Ducks not working and did not address obvious flaw that feats fail at unclaimed tracking/post-milestone tracking. I’m sorry but I had to get that off my chest and “pity mode” only segued into Rovio’s general shadiness/lack of ‘tegrity.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryWell I don’t know what Level 7 is even like but I’d hope at least 5 are needed. I have no idea what in specific you are calling BS on, filth pig, but after making it to room 6 on Level 6 (still just Red, Blues, Chuck) it seems that the first 3 hat event birds are not enough for Level 6. I still wouldn’t call it impossible because it seems there’s a maybe a minuscule window of opportunity for Chuck to get a strike in room 1 by activating on his way down barely missing edge of stone and grazing balloon of top left structure. I do believe there are other tiny areas open for improvement as well. But if you just cause a little structural damage and earn your Chuck back from destroying both small platforms held up by balloons then you can use Red only about a third of the way up to clear most of the stone and get a spell on top of getting him back. I’ve gotten Mighty Eagles a lot of the time, actually. I got through Levels 1-4 with just Red & Blues and 5 only adding Chuck. I can get a screen capture that shows that I only have three at my disposal and am on Level 6. I don’t know why you seem to be so full of pride but maybe open up your perspective a bit and you’ll see that there’s pretty much always room(s) to improve. I don’t want to cause offense, just saying that if you put your mind to it you can usually get pretty far with few birds on most events. I usually get to ~3 with only Red & Blues but this time was through the roof and results probably couldn’t be replicated without pure anguish brought on by countless fruitless attempts to repeat Level 5 clear with R/Bl/C. Nothing really ever surprises me with this game anymore but my jaw was on the floor. And Red’s is like 82 but at time of clear I think it was 79 or 80. I definitely don’t have problems finding first event hat 5/6 times so it’s been a couple finds since then. Should’ve had Bomb’s but making it to his floor apparently wasn’t enough, lol. And I kind of regret not pressing on when I found the 4th pig on 36. But I guess next two levels could’ve been pigs and the stress would’ve been real on 39 since I could only pay off 5 and watch video for 6th. Also: cheers, Twisted Lemon! I didn’t try constantly but hit a god run to also clear Level 5 with the first 3.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrryHmm, level 6 might be possible with just Red, Blues, and Chuck, I swear. I know it seems like a load of crap that it’s possible but I got to 5th room twice and both runs weren’t, by any means, god runs. I guess it depends on what room 6 is even like. And I thought there were only 7 levels, Buster. PS, I was talking about videos on the ToF. The Tower might cooperate yet but I won’t hold out too much hope for Bomb’s. A little off topic but anyone else have serious issues using Gboard or just typing from mobile on this site? It seems to want to overwrite and jumble everything up if I don’t tread lightly. It’s quite annoying.
anGRRRRRRy@angrrrrrry@sanderhuizenga I managed to get through the first 4 levels with only Red and Blues. 5th is possible with only adding Chuck, I can confirm. It took perfect execution, strike on first level with Chuck hitting upper tower in the right way to make it topple to the left, earned Eagle, Inflator, and Chili along the way, and the upmost amount of luck on room 5. I’m guessing I could have only managed it 10% of the time even with that exact order of earned cards. Very, very much not too realistic but it’s possible. Sixth needs at least 4 birbs, likely 5 in my opinion. I wish they would make it so you have to equip the hats and it can be a personal challenge to do so-and-so level with such-and-such birbs. I mean why not, they only make you wait 5 minutes to try again so it’s not like you are punished much if you forget to equip hats. And if there’s concern with that then they can program a pop-up warning to remind you, maybe make it more direct if you repeatedly try to complete without wearing all hats at disposal. Add some replayability to event levels just only reward for completion once, obviously. Tower kind of sucks hardcore most of the time for me but I believe this was the first time I got three event hats so I’m moderately satisfied. I figure if any event isn’t repeated it’s this one so I hope I can get a fourth, not going to get greedy but five would be peachy ☺️. I do have a question, does anyone know if you can use the video freebie at any point? I have enough to buy five pigs’ extortion fees but just might come in handy to know if I could watch a video for a sixth (800 gem one).
